It's my first day of break so naturally we're up early. O has had multiple morning blowouts this week so I'm hesitant to go get him. Dnw to deal with that...again.
Grocery store (alone!!!) today then my best friends from high school are coming over to make gingerbread houses this afternoon. Well, graham cracker houses.
We put an offer on a house on Monday and after some quick back and forth, we accepted the counter offer. Our life has been a whirlwind this week with the inspection and trying to get our current house ready to list. Fortunately, Z has been super cooperative so today we're meeting some friends for a play date. That way he can run around and burn off some energy. We were supposed to drive up to the ILs tonight, but we're dog sitting for H's boss who didn't mention that they won't be back until tomorrow afternoon. Now we're going to drop the dog off first thing tomorrow morning and head up.
I have to do some baking today but otherwise everything is set for this weekend! All of lo's munchkin 360 cups got moldy and I had to run in target for a new one yesterday and I was so stabby being in there right now. So glad I'm done shopping!!
stcyct, I'm only off because I don't work Fridays this year. Everyone else in my county is working. I tried not to rub it in too much yesterday when leaving.
budders, you've got this. You're so, so close. I hope your kiddos do as well as possible today.
erbear, what part of the 360 cups got moldy? You can pull the gasket part off to clean. My favorite travel coffee cups have a similar design so I do it every couple months..
This part, jessila. The seal, I guess? Munchkin is sending me one new cup. I was really disappointed. I asked them how I could prevent it and they suggested a vinegar soak, but I'm not sure that would help.
Teacher next door is showing Les Mis so yeah...ONE DAY MORE! DO YOU HEAR THE PEOPLE SING! I am unashamedly singing along to all of it and have no cares to who years walking by my room. And if I just got Les Mis stuck in your head now...you're welcome?
Confession: Cosette is on my girls list. Not sure I can convince DH, and I'm still uncertain how I like it with Cs name.
We'll go to the farm later tonight to spend the night, my siblings are coming down tomorrow I believe and then we can all head to my grandma's together for Christmas Eve! We'll come back to our place for Christmas morning, then supper at the farm, then Boxing Day we'll be packing all up and heading down to the city we are flying out of where we we will meet up with my ILs for a bit since they are spending time in their old home town until FIL's mom's funeral which isn't until we are away. So that's unfortunate but H is ok with it and my ILs insisted not to worry and they just want to come up and see us for the day before we take off and that works well. They are very far south east right now which is where the big blizzard watch is for that you are probably getting too michyme123 lol. So we'll see I guess.
ETA so. I guess Christmas weekend is here and and the Rush will soon begin, and then I'll be gone for a week and a half, I'm sure I'll still be popping in over the weekend but I hope for nothing but fun and joy and amazing experiences for you and your LOs!!
Lol aw thanks michyme123 it can be so stressful to have storms forecast over the holidays! Hope everything works out for you too. We have some snow forecast but us or the city we are flying out of are not currently in the "special weather statement" zone so fingers crossed it stays that way!
Morning! Meeting up with a friend for brunch and then hopefully wrapping the rest of the presents. DH is working today so I'm thinking I'll order food or pick something up for dinner. Not much else going on today!

I have to work today, but not until 4:30, so at least I get a few extra hours at home. I did luck out and don't have to work tomorrow, which is awesome. I'm sure with my manager that could change at any second though.

I'd be right there with you!
We're on the road. The boys are happily playing in the backseat. Except LBB is doing a workbook, so every 5 seconds I have to read what he's supposed to do in that page.
erbear, yep that part! I slip a fork under it, pull it off, and throw it all separate into the top rack of the dishwasher. Then I reassemble when I take it out.
Morning! Sounds like everyone has wonderful weekends planned!
DS woke up in a crappy mood this morning, so I'm really hoping he turns it around when he's with my mom today. H has to work tonight and most of the day tomorrow so we don't have family stuff going on quite yet. We have a playdate tonight and my mother's helper is still coming over Saturday too. Pretty much business as usual until tomorrow night.
Anyone else have that Disney song in their head "jolly to the core"?

We couldn't even get that part off with a fork, so I'm impressed! I'll try it for the next set of cups we get.

Merry Christmas Eve Eve!!! H finished up working from home this morning while i went to Target with DS - you all will be happy to hear my mom has a recipe magazine, hand lotion, and some pretty paper clips coming her way in her stocking.
Now DS is napping, hopefully for a while because he's been snotty and sounding hoarse, so I'm hoping he's not catching a Christmas cold. Tonight my parents are having a Christmas/birthday party for my dad, and then tomorrow we start our family Christmas extravaganza. So I'm just putting off cleaning and starting my cooking/baking I need to do.

My family is coming over tonight for dinner to welcome DH home. We'll be ordering sushi.
We already had the Developmentalist come this mkrnjng and she is going to recommend SI because M isn't following directions consistently or identifying a variety of objects. On the plus side, he warmed up to her quickly and was playing peek-a-boo and clapping his hands the whole time she was playing with him. So at least the stranger danger seems to be diminishing. ST and OT come at 2 so just some errands before then to get the wine and desserts for later.
My boss just got here. It's 1pm and I just finished over-stuffing my face with lunch. He comes bounding up here and asks who wants to go get Chinese food with him, his treat. Damn it, I hate missed opportunities!

We are standing in the Santa line at the mall. Will be at least another half hour. Thanks, H and MIL, for not taking him Tuesday when there wouldn't have been such a line.

I was there shopping Tuesday- 0 line. (I was there in the morning, so I don't know what the afternoon was like)

I wouldve gone during the week, but I have to drop J off at daycare by 10 to get to work on time. Last year we went on a Wednesday around 1 or 2pm I think and there was one person in front of us.

I figured you wouldn't have been the one to take him due to work, but DH/MIL didn't have an excuse since there was no one waiting in line. I was mostly saying that I agree with you- Tuesday would have been a great day to take him. How did he do?

Merry Christmas Eve eve, y'all! Sorry I've been MIA, but I've been lurking every now and then and love titting some. Thanks for the tags the other day @jemomma, ashbash, and holliberry28.
MM and I just braved Toys R Us after having no nap today and let me just tell you, it was not a good idea. But we survived. Now I'm just sitting in the car listening to Hamilton while she naps.

He did alright. By the time it was our turn, he was way past ready for a nap though. He smiled at santa, but freaked out as soon as I set him down. Could've been worse though.

T has a runny nose, a cough, what looks like the early signs of pink eye, and we're headed to the Dr to have the wax blocking both ear drums manually removed. DD has an ear infection. DS1 has a cough, but is getting better.
Tonight is the annual Christmas dinner with my family. My brother got me a bottle of wine, so the day can only get better, right?
