I'm way too awake for how little sleep I got last night. M just finished eating and is passed out on top of me. I'm tempted to try and put her down so I can get dressed.
danib Yes!! So happy you've been able to ditch the shield! I'm excited for this weekend too! Even though we don't really have a tree and didn't do presents lol. Just the idea that this Xmas v last Xmas is already thirty million times better bc of the LOs.
waitwhat Have fun visiting Santa! I have two people with Santa suits who keep telling me they'll dress up so I can get pictures with the babies, yet here I sit on Xmas eve eve with no Santa pictures. Bah humbug guys. I should bite the bullet and invite them over but that would mean I have to clean my house lol.
sophiegrace Girl LT for commiseration. I can usually get a three minute shower in without a cry (if I do it when she's already out and before she notices) and then pants go on with her in my arms, as does one sleeve and neck and then I either switch her to the other arm to finish or put her down for a millisecond. My makeup has been....interesting....lately. And my hair, well, it's clean.
So mommy was up all night because Alec has this nasal congestion that I just could not sleep through. How do dads sleep through this stuff?. And he wouldn't sleep anywhere but my chest for comfort. Oh well, coffee is brewing and I have brownies I made last night which are going to be my breakfast - I mean, for the caffeine in the chocolate. Necessary.
I am starting to think his nasal congestion is from our dry air - we just started the humidifier up, because he doesn't seem sick otherwise but it's so annoying/sad as he snorts.
Ok need to hit Carters for last minute Xmas outfits today and the grocery store. Otherwise we are organizing our closets and doing copious amounts of laundry bc we just bought a new washer/dryer.

Coffee and brownies for breakfast kleigh?! Drool. I love our humidifier, when she one day leaves our room (lol) this ones staying here and I'll get her a new one. This sound machine is magic as well,

kleigh We just busted out our humidifier last night! My throat has been scratchy the past two days and C seems congested sometimes so hopefully it helps.

Today starts our crazy Christmas weekend! My dog has a vet appointment today at 1 which I think I'll be taking her to so I can get out of the house for an hour. Then tonight we're going to H's cousin's house for a family Christmas party. Last time we were there was for early Thanksgiving and the next morning was when my water broke. So this will be interesting.

Lillian slept in until after 8, so I did too!! It's a Christmas miracle. It's almost 9:30 and I'm still in bed with Lilah. DH brought me tea and a diaper for Lilah so I didn't have to move. He's a good man.
We are going to get ready for the weekend today. Wrapping stuff, making a menu, etc. We're also taking Lillian to an indoor play place since it's kind of wet out. I'm cleaning things again later and I want to work on baby books some. I need to order pictures and I want to make a list of what I need for their baby books.
Morning I have been up and at 'em since six getting things ready before the in laws arrive. H has now left to pick them up from the airport I am enjoying some last minute quiet snuggles before the chaos begins.
C had a decent bedtime and we got some good stretches last night so I'm feeling pretty good today!
Headed out on some errands here in a bit; DS will stay with my H but I haven't decided whether to take C or leave her at home, as well. I'm going to try and squeeze in a manicure, too.
tallblonde my hair fell out after DS from 14 weeks PP to 24 weeks. It's still looking nice this time at 5 weeks but I know it's only a matter of time 😕
D slept from 9pm-5am last night!! I got about 6.5 hours straight in there so I'm obviously very pleased with that.
Downsides: 1) so far today she has only taken two short catnaps and is very fussy. It's annoying me greatly that she won't nap; 2) the milk. Omg you guys, the milk. I can't wait for my supply to catch up if she has decided that she is in fact going to sleep a good chunk of the night from here on out.
She was basically drowning in it this morning and at a certain point just gave up/was too full to continue. So I ended up pumping. I'm trying not to exacerbate the oversupply so I only did 5 minutes, but I still got 6 ounces. As I said, it'll be very nice when she and my body can get on the same page with how much milk and when.

Can't wait to see your haircut danib. IIRC you had short hair when you were pregnant with C and looked really pretty. Did I make that up? I feel like I remember a comparison picture that you shared, but now the more I type the more I doubt myself and the creepier I feel.
Since giving up bf'ing my boobs have sadly deflated. Like my babies cry sometimes bc my chest is like a cutting board and not comfy for their heads.
Le sigh.
Guess the 'perks' of pre pregnancy are dead and gone. Also, I am rockin a sick linea negra so that's sexy, can't wait to show that off this summer.
Still have my hair so far (7weeks pp)... I'm reaching here.
Oh so this linea negra doesn't go away? That's lovely. I still have my hair too and my hair stylist has been dying over how nice it's been since I got pregnant. I'm scared for it to fall out!
We're still mostly get 4 hour stretches here overnight but this little dude does not sleep much during the day. We might get one good nap. I thought babies slept a lot!! Who posted that chart that shows wake times and ages?

Linea lingra does go away but IIRC it took a lot longer than I expected (like 6 months). So yeah it will probably be there for awhile.
+1 to waiting for the inevitable hair loss in a few months. So lovely.
dashook - having the same problem. The poor kid continues to drown in my milk. Ugh get it together body/boobs!
AFM - DS1 is still sick today although better than yesterday (no fever). DS2 is still doing fine. We decided to do "Christmas Eve" tonight and Christmas morning at our house tomorrow then leave for the in laws as previously planned (if DS1 continues to improve). I know the kids are too little to know any different but I'm feeling bummed about this change in plans. Was looking forward to it being just us. Oh well - now have to get presents wrapped and food bought for dinner/brunch here a day earlier than planned. Will be busy but fun!

goldenlove3 Yup..last time my LN stuck around for a year I believe. I was so upset, thinking it would fade quickly. This time I was prepared for it to take a while.
kleigh I went up 3 sizes breastfeeding Lillian. They never went back because she didn't wean until I was already pregnant again. I'm scared for when Lilah weans...

So H ended up taking the dog to the vet and I'm wrapping presents. I realized that I needed to do them now before we leave for the day because I won't have much time otherwise. Plus C wouldn't let me put him down to take a shower and I don't know what H was doing but by the time I had a minute, it was too late for me to shower, dry my hair and get ready and make it on time. Hopefully Gracie is enjoying being out of the house for a bit. She loves the vet!
