Happy Saturday and Merry Christmas Eve! And I get to watch football! Well, until it's time to go to mass. That's if I'm not napping during the game since DS1 and DS2 decided 5 am was the perfect time to wake up! We told them to lay down and eventually brought DS2 in with us. Baby wanted to eat a bit after 6. So I'm up. I think they're getting a Benadryl IV tonight.

Good morning!! We have nothing concrete planned for today (or tomorrow, for that matter)
Oh! Besides trying to get T to be still enough to paint his foot and make a print on a xmas ball ornament. LOL
H was in charge of wake ups last night and I slept from 11:30-7. Holy holy. Happy xmas to me! I finally found a configuration of pillows that make it comfortable to lay with my incision! Wins all around.

Morning ladies. I was up all night I am dealing with a freak hip cramp and then I think some minor contractions. They would statrt, I thought in my stomach and then moved to the back. So here is to wishful thinking.
I finally forced myself to get out of bed and start picking up. I took a shower put on Christmas tights and shirt with jewelry.
I am going to try and turn my cranky to happy. My DH made DD breakfast..which was very sweet and started picking up with me.
I just put on the Christmas with the cranks.
Dh looked at me this morning and said.."you look great hunny and we will get through this" with a hug. It made me feel better he is paying attention I am annoyed and frustrated.
But guys I am trying to be positive and let things just relax.
I hope everyone has a great day today. I will be in out.
Hi everyone - I posted on the dec 16 page about needing some advice or reassurance. Please take a look and let me know your thoughts. (Just adding this here because I often forget to look at our board and just keep up in randoms usually)

I like your style. Whatcha drinking? I can't wait for a cranberry mimosa tomorrow AM while we open presents !
A glass of prosecco. I'm hoping I can keep the rest of the bottle fizzy for tomorrow morning.
And in case anyone thinks I'm a lush...I arranged MH as a designated driver for tonight back in like May. Christmas Eve is a big cocktail party at my moms.
My dad is so annoying. He is complaining (on FB no less) that he hasn't seen the baby since the day he was born. The kid is 10 days old for pete's sake. And it's Christmas...he's going to see him plenty this weekend. My dad is a 5 year old trapped in an old man body.

requiressnacks tell me about it. I put on a maternity t shirt and some yoga pants (ie: a bit more fitted than an old t shirt and comfy pants) to take T to the pediatrician yesterday and I looked like a deflated beach ball.
I mean, I kind of expected it but still. Wah.
PS the babies snacks look sooo cute in their little outfits!!!

I'm having a beer while watching football. Go Pats! I might have a second. I need to leave at 3:30 for mass. I'm entitled, damn it! I guess I should dry my hair and get some of my shit ready.
I want two babies! Double the cuteness. But I'm not sure I could handle two at once. Lol. Woohoo mama snacks! You're doing outstanding!

I tried "dressing up" today...not just a nursing tank or my nightgown. By end of breakfast ds had spilt maple syrup down my shirt. I'm still wearing the shirt, no point changing.
And dh did another nice thing and took ds out to run errands all morning long. Such a nice break. I'm not even that mad they came home with matching bald heads.

Dh and I went to the grocery store to stock up, now he's at another store getting things the first store didn't have. I'm watching this Shakespeare thing that was on pbs last night(which is really good) sitting on my labor ball hoping to get this baby to lower herself. I'll do some baking later today. I already know I'm not going to handle this waiting game very well.

Hiiii
You guys slay me. Where do you get all this energy? I'm impressed. Long night here as well. Little girl is def confused about day and night. And the clusterfeeding! And I think I'm going to have to pump my left nipple until it gets better -- I fed S from it yesterday and she ended up spitting up bloody milk. I felt so awful!
lastnamewithheld yeah I had to get something called a blood patch done. They took a shit ton of blood out of my hand and then injected it at the epidural site. Holy hell hope no one has to do this but sharing because relief was instant. If you need it you need it!
DH is going to bake cookies with DS this afternoon and finish wrapping presents tonight. I think he gets that I will need more naps during the day and he'll have to do some of the stuff I proactively do (picking up, laundry, etc). I know we'll get a routine down eventually but I forgot just how hard this is ESP with sleep deprivation and your body not being 100%.
littlelion I just finished some muddy buddies, then I'll make a chocolate pie. Dh said he had a hankering for brownies so I might make some. I love the Great British Baking show! The american one is a little too campy for me though.

crimpgirl that is crazy that they wanted to kick you out! Here you get at least three nights! If DH isn't going to be there call a nurse for anything you need! Not worth you falling or injuring yourself in some way. Good luck!!

crimpgirl awesome outfits! GL with that catheter...it was a bitch taking the tape off that held mine in place (on my thigh). It left a square red mark, almost like a burn.

I'm a Jets fan. That game was ugly.
I love both babies, but having twins is insane. I can't even explain how chaotic it is. Be happy for a singleton.

Agreed! It's supposed to be 2-3 nights after the c-section! I couldn't believe they wanted to kick me out within 36 hours of it! They originally said the 26th and the 25th if we were both "superstars"
SPend as much time there as you can. I loved my hospital stay.
