Anyone willing to give me a few name suggestions? We are due in May, but names have been a hot topic around here, so I'd like to keep the ball rolling while hubby is interested. Our first is Jessalynn Elizabeth. We prefer names that sound good on a resume and I like longer names.
For a girl we are fairly settled on Gracelyn (or Gracelynn) Elizabeth. Runners up were Emmalynn and Adalynn. Elizabeth will be the middle name regardless.
We are stuck on boys. My husband would really like Cody or Barrett. I like Kodiak, Westin, Coltyn. Middle name will be Walter.
If you like names that look good on resumes, I would run far, far away from made-up, trendy, misspelled nonsense like Gracelyn(n), Emmalynn, Fill-in-the-blank-lynn, and Coltyn. Also, Kodiak and Westin are just terrible. Here are some real names that are also polysyllabic.
Hi lady! Suggesting: Girls: Emmaline Adelaide Carolyn or Caroline Lillian Anna Kate
Boys: Levi Garrett Wesley Wyatt Miles Harrison
Unfortunately Emnaline and Carolyn/Caroline are out as they are family names I don't choose to honor. :/ Gracelynn would be after MH's grandma, Grace, but I wanted it to go with Jessalynn. I love Harrison, Garrett and Wyatt!

By looking good in a resume, I guess I mean you wouldn't think your car salesman or hairstylist has a weird name. We are simple, farm/ country people. Most of these names just don't fit our style or culture. I appreciate your suggestions. But I do like names like Jessalynn and Gracelynn.

But Gracelynn isn't a real name... simple is fine, nothing wrong with simple. Made up and trendy, though... and how is Kodiak simple? Also, some day your child might want to have a name that looks good on a resume being handed to someone in an urban, corporate setting. But here, simple names that are still real (and great names):

I think Grace is beautiful on its own, and could easily have nicknames such as adding Lyn. Two names with Lyn on the end feel too matchy to me.

Grace is beautiful! It goes great with Jessalyn.
I wouldn't add -lyn to the end of Grace just to make it match your older daughter's name. They'll already be sharing the same middle name so let them have distinct first names.

Please if the girls will share a middle name, give them each a distinct first name from eachother. Adding Lynn to Grace (a perfect timeless and classic name which looks great on a resume) just makes it look like you are trying too hard to match. If you like Adalyn (also not good for above stated reasons) have you considered Adelaide or Adeline? Other name suggestions Margaret Theresa Vanessa Valerie
Boys? Stay far away from kodiak, Westin (hotel chain anyone) and Colton

Another vote to drop the -lynn. Grace and Emma are lovely names on their own, adding the -lynn to them actually makes them less simple and less attractive.
As for the boys, I'm not a fan of any of the names you like. I do however love Barrett.
Other suggestions for a girl: Alice Liza Martha Milly Ruth Sarah
