Merry Christmas lovely ladies! DD is clearly way excited about Christmas and is having a hard time going to sleep tonight. If I didn't feel like such crap this might be cuter but all I want to do is go to bed myself so it's losing its holiday charm. Despite sickness, crappy family members, ruined gifts, or anything else that might get you down, I hope all of you are able to find at least a few moments to appreciate the magic of the season.
My Dad's gift to J (monorail set) was a huge hit today. He napped with it and is sleeping with it, and it had to be in the bathroom for bath time. I'm pretty sure he won't care about any of the gifts tomorrow. He is very excited for Santa though, so there's hope.

Well, this mommy/Santa is sure lucky that my dd sleeps through all sounds. And in retrospect, probably lucky that she slept so poorly last night and only had a very short nap today, though I was not happy about either when they happened.
Mission accomplished/Santa has been here. Though like some of you also mentioned, I think I overdid it even though I thought I was on the minimal side. Nothing is big/expensive, and half the packages are books, but ... It is more than I meant. But I couldn't make myself save any of it for her birthday either. Am really curious to see what she does with a bunch of new toy options.
Please excuse charlie brown- ness of the tree - we cut it from our yard yesterday. And uneven ornament loading is mainly due to dd.
Anyway, merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
DH did not help much with the wrapping. I finished at 1:40 am and got in bed just in time to hear DD crying. She's sweaty and complaining about her mouth. I gave her Tylenol and hoping it's just because it was a late bedtime, long day and short nap. I'm tired and beyond frustrated with DH. I need to snap out of it before morning.

Merry Christmas ladies! DS is eating the rest of Santa's cookie and playing with an Angry Birds play set. Being Santa is so much work! Next year, we will have to put things together a few nights before. Isn't it crazy to think our parents did all this for years and years?
Merry Christmas! Hope you all have a lovely day. Prayers for all the sick kids, sick family members, and intolerable inlaws.
We had our Christmas on Wednesday at home. Now we're in a hotel in Cleveland and will spend the day visiting with my mom and brother, and make dinner at my Grandpa's house. It's kind of a sad Christmas here, but we'll make the most of it. Kids are doing well considering the cold, teething, extra long drive, and being out of routine and away from home, so I'm thankful for that.
Merry Christmas!! We are up and opened all the Santa stuff and other things. My grandmother decided she doesn't want to come to Christmas because of someone trying to hurt her. It's sad. She will be 94 in February
DS seems to be fully recovered and DH and I managed to not get sick so my mom can still come today. DS opened his first gift and just wanted to play with it. He opened a couple more but still has gifts left to open because he just wanted to play with what he already got. DS also slept in so he clearly doesn't understand the whole Santa thing yet!

Dd also has only opened some of her presents, played with them some, and also taken some breaks (including now). Suits me - I wasn't ever one to just tear everything open either. And this morning woke up saying she likes Santa (before she even saw any gifts) but wasn't really in a hurry to get up and go out to the living room. Now that I think is just because she didn't really understand yet.
We've had Santa's presents under the tree for a week now. Lol
How? J would never leave them alone and constantly ask about it. He assumes everything is for him.
He didn't care at all. Never bothered even looking at them. Last night, though, he opened presents at my aunts so he really understands more what's going on. I'm guessing we won't get away with that ever again.
Hello, we are going to sit down to dinner soon. DS got a balance bike, magnatiles and a load of other stuff but declared no more presents after about 4. He woke up this morning singing jingle bells and yelled "it's Christmas, Santa bought presents and toys!"
DH left the boxes from the Sanya presents in the house and DD1 found them this morning. Thank goodness she's still young enough not to realize what it was.
We have had a great morning so far. Hope everyone else has a good day and that all the sick kiddos and mamas are feeling better todau
Merry Christmas and Happy Chanukah ladies! We are hosting Christmas dinner at our home tonight so that means I can wear my PJs all day. Gonna prep a bit now then relax!
Mil is putting DS to bed. He had a great day and was so well behaved and it was sooooo nice to be able to get outside. Dinner was delicious and now I'm wearing my new jammies
