We are in CA visiting MH's grandma. My ILs and SIL also came in. We got here yesterday afternoon, had a nice dinner, lit the Hanukkah menorah, sang some songs, and went to bed. And then my FIL gave us he best present ever. He took ALL the night feedings and we slept! E was up a lot (new place, etc) and we just slept! It was amazing.

This little bear has been super clingy lately. He wants to snuggle all the time and always wants a boob in his mouth. Wonder what's going on- or if I'm just creating a monster over here.

Maybe getting sick?
I hope not. He seems okay otherwise.
He has pooped through 3 outfits in 2 days though! That's like two more than he normally poops through in 48 hours lol.
I've read that you can't spoil a baby before the age of 6 months and I hope that's right. The past week or so he'll only fall asleep while nursing and has been eating a lot more than usual. I EP'd and bottle fed B and she was pretty much on a schedule with when she ate and how much. This kid- not even close. I thought it was supposed to be easier the second time around. I'm way more clueless with this babe!
steph im hoping just a growth spurt? I have the exact same thing going on right now. What makes it worse is that we bedshare and he has taken to throwing his arm around (on) me. I put him on his side of the bed but he scoots and rolls until he finds me. It's getting pretty bad.

I'm putting him out this week.
LO does that too when I pull him into bed with me sometimes. I'll take all the covers off him and move over and he'll like scoot towards me. He also holds either my boob or my shirt while I'm feeding him like I might escape or something hahaha

I feel more clueless this time around since DS is BF and DD was FF. She ate at the exact times and once she STTN never ate again MOTN. Him no set schedule. One night STTN, then next night up every 2 hours to eat. I have no clue what I'm doing with feeding this time around haha. He also grabs my shirt while nursing. He's a total Mommas boy/boob guy.
My poor baby has the stomach bug. She threw up 13 times between 4am and 2pm yesterday. It was a long day & we had to bring her to the ER for possible dehydration since she couldn't even keep 5 mLs down of Pedialyte.
Zofran is amazing. No vomiting since they administered. She's eaten only a little breastmilk since then but not much. I've been doing a lot of pumping. Of course we were out of town when it happened and I remembered my spectra pump and even bottles but no flanges or backflow protector. I had to hand express directly into a bottle since I was very engorged while my FIL went to target to buy me a hand pump. I now have 2 hand pumps, yay. And 1 will be staying in each car we have from now on.
We are now back home. We were supposed to leave on a 4-5 hour trip tomorrow with family. That's not happening now. Hopefully we only get delayed by 1 day and H and I don't get sick. My family is still going with hopes that we can still join later.

I swear this is a boy thing. Both of my boys thought my boobs were their personal property. DD just eats and keeps it moving. I think, if I could have removed my breast and let DS1 crawl around with it all day he would have

Hahahaha yup. This morning while DH was watching him, he hit his little noggin on the cabinet. It wasn't hard or anything, just a tap. But he cried, and then I took him from DH and he went right for the boob. I was like umm you just ate. But he was like "but I've gotta boo-boo so give me your boob anyway!" The second he saw it he smiled!! Like "ha! I win!"
Total random- Last night I got all pissed off because I couldn't find either of the bras I can sleep in. When I finally found one, I went on target and Amazon and ordered about 10 more in super bright colors so that they're easier to find Hahahaha.

Guys. It's so great that my ILs have been helping out, but omg they have been way over feeding the baby! My FIL gave him 10 ounces at 4:30 this am 😳and they did it AGAIN this afternoon. His poor little tummy, oh my gosh. What the heck, justvbecausr he's fussy doesn't mean he needs twice abnormal feeding. And now bed time is messed up because he wouldn't take a bottle (duh because he's not hungry).
hannahbear, I'm sorry that what started as such a wonderful idea has turned out not to be so. If N is sated he turns his head away and makes it clear he won't eat any more. Lesson learned is to give very, very clear instructions in how much to feed E at each sitting.
We are really enjoying the nightly ritual of lighting the 3 hanukkiahs, saying the blessings, singing and giving each child a little gift. N loves to tear the paper with help from his sister. L takes great pleasure color coordinating the Hanukkah candles.
DH was with the kids today and will be with them tomorrow while I'm working since the au pair is in vacation. I only work Tuesday mornings but tomorrow is a long day and I'm away from 7-6. He is planning to take them to a program at the children's museum. I think he will have a new appreciation for the never ending job of taking care of small children.

Holy. I'm stressed by daycare feeding her 6 oz at once.
I bought replacement parts for my pump. I EP'd with B and never replaced them but felt like the suction lately hasn't been great. Holy smokes what a huge difference!!

Which pump are you using again? I think it's time for me to replace my parts also. I'm not getting as much output as before and I'm not certain if it's me or the pump.
LO broke my glasses today. It made me sad/frustrated since I don't have a backup pair. I decided to soak in the tub with a small glass of wine, but Needy Ned has to keep me in sight at all times lately or he loses his shit.

Medela freestyle.
When I EP'd with B I had two sets I used. The other set is still- somewhere around here. I felt like the suction was terrible over the past few weeks and googled and sure enough you're supposed to replace them every few months. Amazon and target have the set for $16.99. I had buybuybaby price match it because I was there.
