huskermom I love the bed! How old is your LO? I'm nervous about making the move with my 2.5 year old but we are also switching his rooms too. Very nervous
Thank you!! He's 2.5 as well! The transition to big boy bed hasn't been bad! He's been sleeping on his mattress on the floor for 2.5 weeks now and it's been going surprisingly well. He stays in bed at night and goes to sleep as well as he did in his crib. We were so nervous too but he had mastered climbing out of the crib so it was definitely time.
agm04 - I'm sure it will be tough to rest, but take it as easy as you can. You have the perfect reason. All the other stuff is no big deal. Hope it stops ASAP.
We just switched DS's crib to the toddler rail on Wednesday when we started potty training. He will be 3 in a little under a month. He is doing pretty well so far, though in 4 days of really using the potty, he has already figured out that he can repeatedly ask to use the potty before bed to put off getting into bed. Today he only had one accident, so definite progress. Fingers crossed he's ready to go to school on Tuesday in underwear.
He still can't get out of his room at night. We have a thing on the inside doorknob so he can't open it. We did the same thing for DD until she was night potty trained closer to 4. We still have him on a pull up at night. I'm not ready to have both kids able to wake me up by standing inches from my face and scaring me half to death
redrock, in my opinion it is way easier to have two kids in diapers than a newly potty trained older kid who makes you drop everything to run to the potty all the time. The only downside is for your wallet
We moved DS 2.5, to a twin when we moved into my mom's earlier this month. He's done pretty well with it. He still falls asleep in our bed and then I transfer him to his. He usually stays in his bed most of the night. Absolutely zero interest in the potty here though. I hope he's ready before #2 gets here. Do not want 2 in diapers.
Ugh, I'd love to have DS potty trained before #2 gets here but the kid is terrified of his potty and refuses to sit on it without his diaper on. I have a feeling 2 in diapers is inevitable.
I had to laugh redrock, yesterday when I picked DS up from daycare they wrote that they had tried to take him potty before each diaper change. I was basically like lololol good luck with that, daycare.
I haven't told my insurance officially about the pregnancy. Assuming they know since they've gotten bills from the midwife's office. Do I need to call them?

I've never told my insurance about a pregnancy. The only times I've called are if they've charged me a copay for a routine prenatal visit (since they're supposed to have no copay under our plan). They are aware of the pregnancy through my OB's office billing them.

Ask your insurance about it. Under my current plan, I don't have to tell them but there were some forms I had to fill out the first time with DD when we were under different insurance. I think it was just for the hospital though. I needed pre-approval to give birth in the hospital, which is totally dumb but ok.
