Hi all. Came home today with DD. She is nursing well so far without the help of the LC and nurses. I am so thankful for the staff at the hospital. If there was one good thing about having an unexpected csection is that we got an extra day of help in the hospital. We made such big strides yesterday that I now believe we can be successful! So happy
I hate taxes. Like really. DH is doing ours and again we freaking owe money.
We have good jobs and no deductions. Ugh... I'm pissed.
I hate it. Since we got married we have never gotten a refund.
Two years ago our accountant screwed up big time. We had an awesome refund, spent it all on home improvement stuff and a vacation, and months later got a notice from the IRS that our taxes were filed wrong and we owed 3,000. Now I get so nervous during tax time!!
mands1125, that's how I felt, too! I can't imagine if I had to go home after just one or two nights. Besides the extra help with nursing, they say day 3 is the super emotional day for a new mother when the hormones start going crazy and my nurses were telling me that it should be illegal to send anyone home on or before that day. That was the only good thing about my emergency c section. Well, the extra day or two of help and the extra 2 weeks of short term disability pay!
I feel like I post all the time and am still a friggin noob. So here is one more... Walking Dead tonight!! Being home on maternity leave I always forget what day of the week it is. Just got so excited when I realized it's Sunday!
On that note, anyone watching Better Call Saul? I didn't have high hopes for it, but I love it!!

We got our taxes done pretty early just in case LO came on time or early. We both still have single people amounts taken out so we got $ from fed but nys we always owe I can't get into better call Saul but I'm still trying. Everyone's been raving on Facebook too. My mom calls every day to check in too. Annoyinggggg. She knows I'm busy today (watching lifetime with friends) and she's still calling. Everyone's starting to ask me on Facebook too. I'm thinking of taking a break from it (additional plus would be freaking them all out thinking he came) And at work i get asked why I'm still there every day. (After a glance at the belly) Really!!?? Some people actually ask me multiple times in a day

Guys we just had our first full feeding session without a shield!!! I am beyond excited about the progress DS is making with his latch. It was only mildly uncomfortable this time as opposed to the excruciating pain I've been feeling. Those of you struggling with feeding or are worried about how it will go once you have an outside baby, DONT GIVE UP. It gets better! It has taken us 2 1/2 weeks to get to this point.
Good lord, is there a better feeling in the world than a newborn baby curled up asleep on your chest? Soft little baby hairs on your lips? This is intoxicating.

I don't know how accurate this is, but I've heard they release the bonding hormone when you cuddle them that closely.

I'm so looking forward to this. In the hospital now with the cervidil in place. It's definitely making a difference so far. I was given an ambien to help me sleep but apparently it hasn't done much of anything yet. Pitocin at 5am tomorrow...I want that sleep.
