aydee, she's pretty much the same tonight. Low fever (100), still puking when she coughs, runny nose and just wants to cuddle. We raised her mattress with books to help the drainage while she sleeps and are running a humidifier, hopefully that will help. I'll call the doc in the AM if he doesn't respond to my email before then.
Glad you figured out a way to get more sleep in your house!
I am a genius. A couple days ago I told the twins that we were going to start having a good sleeper award for the person in the house who wakes up the latest, so when they wake up in the morning they should try to go back to sleep.
Since then, the past 2 mornings everyone in the house has slept until 8:30am! DS, my earliest riser, waits until he hears one of us get up and then bounds out of bed to come greet us. He was trying to convince us that his stuffed garbage truck pillow should win the good sleeper award today, lol! The last time I slept this late in the morning was before I had kids.

You ARE a genius and I'm stealing this idea!
It's working amazingly well. I think I'm going to make it a weekend thing so it doesn't get old, plus it's not practical for the weekdays. I might also tie it to some incentive (gets to pick a special activity for the day or choose breakfast or something). I'm not sure DS is ever going to win the award, but at least now he's motivated to not be the first one up!
C has a fever. Maybe a tiny bit congested and wants to nurse all day but otherwise is acting typical. I keep saying it but I feel like we moved to germ ville because she never was sick before we moved.
carabassa how are things with you? How was your first Christmas in your new home??
Thanks for thinking of me! Christmas was great, and now our fun news is that Ida has a low level of lead in her system, so we're in the middle of attacking the house to deal with any sources. Just trying to be thankful that we caught it early and will hopefully stop it from getting any worse. But yikes, it's a headache.
Other than that, that the toddler is toddlering and we're TFAS.
thewop how are you? Did you guys make another offer on a new house?
Hey there! I'm putting off work (stressed) so I thought I'd check in here. Doing ok. There's been a major shake up at work (my boss put in her resignation) and I'm FREAKING OUT. There are a lot of changes to come, directly involving me, and I don't know what to do about it. There is a lot of unknown right now, and where I'll end up here. I need to breathe. There's the potential for a step up, and the potential for an entire level up. I'm planning on the step up, but I need to be prepared for the level up. The level up would be like me walking a couple of big dogs, to being handed the reigns to a couple of Clydesdales. Either way...I'm scared to death. So much to learn! I was not at all prepared to move up like this. I thought it would be a slow transition, not thrown into a position 2 months before our busiest time. Whatever that might be.
We did put in another offer on a house, but it was not accepted. Oh well. The plan now is to wait for my aunt's house. Because of work right now, moving has been put off for an unknown timeline. Basically work stuff is driving my life.
