thelittleredm ugh that sucks about your parents neighbors. They aren't even legal here which makes me double salty about it. But we can never figure out exactly who is lightning them off
My headache never quite went away so my motivation is shot. Trying to drink a bunch of water and rest. Got the laundry started at least.

thelittleredm, sorry you're hurting. Glad you are getting a chance to rest. silvermelody, sorry you have a headache! FX it goes away soon.
I tried to nap but couldn't fall asleep. The resting definitely helped give me an energy boost. I have, however, decided to cuddling in bed with DS rather than do anything productive. Also, I really want tacos.

silvermelody, They are super illegal here. We're not supposed to set anything off that goes higher than 10' (I actually think it's supposed to go lower than that even) and fountains are even side-eyed. Everything is a match stick around here because it's always so dry. I imagine they were less picky last night because we had rain off and on all day yesterday.
I'm touched out and can't get comfortable and feeling huge and having heart burn and just want to be left alone. DH can't seem to entertain DD for more than 30 seconds at a time. I'm just done. Waaaaah. 😣

Happy new year!!!
I'm exhausted E is so constipated and fussy she needs to be held to stop crying and fall asleep. Nothing exciting has been going on I didn't even get a small nap.

Do you have a wrap or other carriers for her? I really liked my K'Tan for my never be put down baby.
We got almost everything hung in DDs new room, I moved all her clothes to her new dresser, we got all the Christmas stuff put away, and I made breakfast sandwiches for my freezer stash. Tomorrow we are getting new baby's crib and I have my 37 week checkup.

I'm sorry she's giving you a tough time right now
I have a k'tan I can't wait to use it however the minimum weight requirements is 8lbs she is about 5 1/2lbs now.
There are kangaroo shirts too. I never used one but I remember seeing them in the store.
Also, remember, this too shall pass.
In no time she'll be on to a different (but equally frustrating) stage. They're lucky they're so cute.
In all seriousness I know it's hard. It's exhausting and confusing. We're here to help you any way we can.
Thanks it's exhausting semi frustrating but we are overall so grateful for her it's not too bad. She is napping in her mamaroo letting us eat dinner.
It's OK to be grateful and frustrated at the same time. It's something I felt guilty about at first. "How can I be exhausted or resentful when I have this perfect miracle I desperately wanted?"

Busy, decent weekend. Love my in-laws, but am so ready for them to kindly get the F out of my house after a week-long stay.
Back is sore from a good workout this morning (the most challenging workout in a while, but for once was actually glad I was pregnant. If I had to do as many "real" burpees as everyone else, I would've cried. And quit!).
Started feeling some vag pressure today. Fun. And am officially grossed out by meat. Should be a really fun three or four weeks! Happy January!

peaseblossom55, everything you feel is totally normal. The first few months are rough (understatement of the century). It's totally acceptable to be head over heels in love and beyond frustrated at the same.
DS is in bed. House is cleaned up and I am craving spaghetti and vanilla ice cream (not together). Wtf.

If anyone near you has a ring sling or woven wrap (not stretchy), you can use it with a smaller baby, but there's a bit of a learning curve. Ring sling is easier; I used with DD from about 5.5lbs. I think with a preemie, it's not recommended to use a stretchy wrap until they have good head control, but I can't remember the official recommendation, just know I wound up using the ring sling because I couldn't use the Moby or Ergo yet.
We had a super quiet new year, hung out at my uncles for a bit then went to the ILs and came home. I had a glass of Verdi, it's like a sparkly wine but not a wine. Super good, and I so wanted another. This morning I did some serious cleaning that I'd been putting off, then took the dogs up by my moms to run loose since it was above freezing, they desperately needed it. Now I'm ready to pass out cold bc we went out to dinner and I'm stuffed on a salad and half a burger.
My body is now playing a neat game with me for the past few days: "is it Braxton Hicks or is it gas?" It's usually a fart. I keep reminding myself it's beautiful being a woman.

I got some laundry done and the grocery shopping and my headache finally quit after dinner. Glad I have tomorrow off aside from my belly check.
pibblemom I've been playing the "BH or gas pain?" game for about a week now. Ugh.
peaseblossom55 the babywearing shirt is called a NuRoo. I just rec'd it to a friend with a preemie and she really likes it. I second opheliainwaders that a ring sling could be a good option too but there is a learning curve. And you can keep using it after she outgrows the k'tan.

Don't feel bad for what you are feleling, its normal. My brother had twins with colic and I remember him telling me, "I loved them but didn't like them".
DD started crying at midnight. I gave DH the elbow and asked if he could see what the issue was. He promptly picked her up from the travel bed and placed her in ours. It's like he doesn't learn. I knew this would end badly so I put a pillow on my side and gtfu. I'm in another bedroom and just listened to them fight about kicking each other. I know in the morning DH is not going to appreciate an I-told-you-so (and I won't say it), but I freakin told him so.
