No traditions here. We're going to have a duck for dinner since this baby seems to really like duck. I also officially have less than 4 months to my EDD so that's a bit of a shock to realize for me.
DS1 was laying in his bed this morning going "hello? Hello?" It was really cute
No traditions here either. And I've never had duck before in my life lol.
Rough night with all the fireworks going off and C going to bed later than usual. But I just got up and H and C are still sleeping. I can't remember the last time I slept until 9.

No traditions. We used to all go have a big dinner at my parents' house but since we get together for DD's NYE birthday, that tradition has ended. I went to bed at 9pm last night but got up at 11:30 just in time to see the train wreck that was Mariah Carey and see the ball drop. We're de-Christmasing today and probably mostly staying close to home. We may take DD to a park to run around but that's about it.

Well it looks like what I have is actually a sinus infection. At first I thought it was just a cold, but it's been a week now and it's not getting any better. I looked up my symptoms and it all points to it too. I've never had a throbbing headache like this before. It's super sucky. If it's still bad tomorrow I'll call my Dr since it's definitely not getting any better and I don't know how I'm going to watch DS alone if I still feel like this when H goes back to work on Tuesday. H picked me up some sudafed this morning so I'm hoping it helps and I've been using hot/cold compresses on my head. Yay 2017! lol
BabyStandish I'm currently sitting in Patient First getting antibiotics for a sinus infection so I feel your pain. My entire face aches. I feel as though I've been sick constantly this pregnancy.
No traditions here either. We go big on Christmas and lay low for New Year's. We used to go see a double feature at the movie theater but clearly that doesn't work now that we have DD. She's having a great time checking out all her old gear as we get the nursery set up though, so we're enjoying our quiet at-home weekend.

mcp6286 gosh I'm sorry. It's not been fun that's for sure. Yeah, my jaw/cheek bones and teeth have been hurting but I thought it was just because I've been sleeping with my mouth wide open. Turns out...nope, it's just another lovely symptom.

I hope you feel better! I tend to jump the gun on getting antibiotics cuz I can't stand this. I hope your dr can see you tomorrow!
sleepymonkey I watched that clip of Mariah this morning since I was in bed at 9 last night. It was so hard to watch. Like wow.
It was so uncomfortable to watch. She claims there were technical difficulties but I think the difficulties were that she forgot the words to her own song.
I planned on going to yoga or the gym this morning, but woke up early with really awful cramps. I'm assuming they're some mix of constipation/gas/normal aches, but it was a scary way to wake up. Hoping I can get back in an exercise routine tomorrow. I have a massage this afternoon, which I am excited about.
I've gotta join the sinus infection club, unfortunately. I even have an Rx for antibiotics to fill, but the pharmacies are closed for New Year's . I wish I could take a pain killer aside from Tylenol.

It sucks. I'm convinced Tylenol is basically a placebo. I dealt with my sinus infection for a month because a PA at urgent care said there wasn't much that could be done. When I finally saw my OB she immediately got me a z-pack prescription and ranted about people treating pregnancy like a disease. her

Is there a Patient First near you (or other urgent care)? I got my Rx filled on-site and walked out of my appt with a z-pack. It was the best!

Good luck!
I had one last month. They're awful. Luckily, mine was viral and didn't turn into one that needs antibiotics but they still suck ass. I'm one of the lucky ones that are allergic to Tylenol so no pain killers for me :/
The moment DS1 turned 6 months, I stopped buying Tylenol for him and switched to Advil when he's in pain.

yay we are going to get rid of our headboard!! We are going to list it for $20, but would take nothing for it. We just want to get rid of it. It is a ghastly thing from like the 80's. It's a hand-me-down from FIL and although it has tons of storage space around it with some dressers attached and a huge mirror...it just takes up so much room. We want to move the bookshelf and dresser that's in the guest bedroom to our room since that room will eventually be new baby's room and we may try to fit the crib in with the queen bed for awhile since I know we will get visitors after new baby. We got rid of more books yesterday so we can toss one of our bookshelves too. It's not a very sturdy one so we aren't going to bother trying to sell it and just put it out with the trash. We will use the bed frame that's in the guest room until we get a visitor and then we will buy a new bed frame.
Heading out to a football game at our new stadium. Not a football fan, but H is, and we're going with a big group. Will be cool to see the new stadium. I'll catch up with everything here afterwards!

Unfortunately, no. I live in France, so I'd have to go to a hospital for urgent care. Luckily I'm uncomfortable, but not dying. Will fill my Rx in the morning. It's 5:45 now, so I only have to stay awake a few more hours

Happy new year everyone! I might be in and out this week since we're on vacation but right now DW is napping and I'm awake so here I am lol. We had a perfect last kidless NYE. Impeccable dinner and a show, dancing and an amazing photo booth, then returned to our room around 11pm, and got in pj's in time to watch the ball drop on TV and THEN watch fireworks in 4 different locations out our hotel window. It was pretty magical and perfect. We are going to gain soooooo much weight this week because the food here is AMAZING.
Sorry to everyone with sinus infections! Fx they clear up soon!

sleepymonkey We hide the dresses with glitter and reserve them for outside. I don't mind it to an extent but DH hates it. Good luck with that!!
Hope everyone who is sick feels better!
We had a low key NYE as always. We were all asleep at midnight, though dd didn't fall asleep until 1045ish and got up before 6 so she has already been down for a nap for 30 min and actually asked to go night night. Not much today either. No traditions. Just excited we are having baby #2 this year!
Tomorrow DH is supposed to be off but has to go in for a bit for a project so I'm taking dd to her first movie theater movie to see Sing. I'm hoping with all the music and animals and popcorn it will keep her attention =) I have also been trying to think of what all fun stuff we can fit in the next few months for our little family of 3 before the addition of baby #2. Still working on my list!
