No baby yet. Broke water around 2 and she wasn't happy. Turned off pitocin and slept while she settled down. Just turned the pitocin back on(5:30am) and she seems to be behaving. Loving the nurse I've had all night, bummed she won't get to meet baby unless a miracle happens in the next 90 minutes.

Ugh @cahistoryteacher im having flashbacks to my own long labor and all the nurses i saw come and go lol. I hope yours picks up soon!
NYE was ok, I closed my eyes around 11, and managed to wake up as everyone was counting down so I did see the ball drop. H took T upstairs and he was so fussy for 3 hours until I woke up and he brought him back down to me.

DS2 went to bed on time and slept. Kept on the Tylenol/Motrin schedule. DS1 stayed up a little late. And I found an outfit for baby boy on clearance at BRU. DH was awake watching the football game and cleaning. I took a little nap on the couch, woke up at 11:55 and fell back asleep before it was midnight. But then fireworks outside woke me up. Oh well. Didn't miss much other than Mariah Carey's fail. LMAO!

And I googled Mariah's performance and watched it this morning. Oooof. She didn't even try to sing! Or dance!
Has anyone watched any of Mariah's World? I've caught some here and there and she really lives a fabulous life. It's basically not reality.
I didn't know she had a show, but I wouldn't be able to watch it. CAN.NOT.STAND.HER! I watched the NYE performance this am too. Why couldn't she walk down the stairs by herself? And what the heck was she wearing? No, honey, no.

Happy New Year friends! Last night was kind of rough, but DH let me sleep in this morning and brought me a Belgian waffle and coffee in bed so it's sure to be a good year!
As expected I was up at midnight nursing Alex. As a bonus, Leo woke up too. So I rang in the new year with my favorite guys to kiss. Dh (& alex too) let me sleep in this morning. Now it's 10 and I'm hungry. I gotta tell my dh about this breakfast in bed.
Dh went to his cousins place for lunch. And took Leo. It's just me and baby, yay!
I made it thru one movie (The Jungle Book) and went to bed at 8:30. Cora woke me at 11:50 to eat, so we were awake for midnight.
We're spending today relaxing at home. The kids go back to school tomorrow -- it was a ridiculously short holiday break this year. We have friends in IL who don't go back until the 9th. I kind of feel like they were cheated this year since they only got a week off.
We had a cranky baby that was up until midnight nursing. Thankfully she only got up at 3:30 and 7:30, so after I fed her the second time I was able to take a nap while my husband took her. We have guests coming over to bring lunch, but really I just want to be a hermit with my warm, snuggly baby.
We went to our friends' house with a couple other families. Between the 4 families there was 12 kids there, so it was a lot of fun. Pretty much everyone made it until midnight except Hazel and our friend's 2 year old.
We had a couple of friends come over last night, it was so good just to do something normal for once! They only stayed a couple of hours and baby slept the whole time. I think she's going thru a little growth spurt. She's eating more and sleeping soundly, which means I feel amazing!!! Dh took her during one feeding last night, I haven't had this much sleep in ages! Lol.
We're waiting right now for both of our moms to show up and stay the night. Pray for me ladies, this day is going to be rough!! MIL drives me nuts!!
Happy new year everyone!! H and I made steak and champagne last night and had a romantic dinner in while baby was napping. We were all awake at midnight and then baby girl slept in 3 hour chunks until almost 10am. Feeling pretty good this morning!
You're probably having a baby today @cahistoryteacher! Yay!!

Cora has decided that today she will not take a full feeding. She'll snack, cat nap, drink another oz, cat nap, etc. I can't put her down for the naps at all. The second she's put down, she wakes up. So I get absolutely nothing done.

Hi ladies!
Thanks for all your sweet comments on my post last night. The difference for me between last year and this year puts all the newborn trials into perspective for me.
requiressnacks like no emails in your inbox at all! Respond/act or be done with it. I try to get to that state once a month but if not at least by the end of the year. Then you don't end up with that random email from a friend that you say you will get around to responding to but never do just sitting there making you feel bad.
littlelion Exercise/lose weight is my big one! Mostly I need to eat better/fewer carbs and sweets and also find a sustainable way to continue working out now that I have two kiddos. Before I would go to a lot of classes but with a breastfeeding little one I think I'll need to go for a run or do a home workout. Also generally working on simplifying my life now that we have two.
But who knows when I will work out again since I think I've either bruised or fractured my tailbone. Pain started about a week after birth and seems consistent with what I've read online. If it is just a bruise then should go away in four weeks so I'm going to ice it, take ibuprofin and just talk to my doc at my six week appointment. Really really hoping it isn't fractured because that will take a lot longer. Basically it hurts to sit and when I stand up after sitting for a while it is very painful. Anyone else dealt with this?
I can't believe some of you have two month olds! This seriously is the longest shortest time.
Okay S is definitely asleep. Gotta put her down and take a nap.

Apparently she and Gabriel got the same memo. I'm not down with this snacking.
This baby is causing all sorts of drama today. They had restarted the pitocin and went to put in an internal contraction monitor when she decelled again. We had maybe 7-8 people rush in, they got her all settled and we stopped the pitocin again to let her calm down. They have a scalp monitor on her now and she's behaving. Pitocin is back on and I am basically just waiting her out. Doc didn't think we'd need to do a c-section unless she drastically decelled again, so we're crossing our fingers. Poor DH, he looked terrified because they were giving me oxygen and shots of uterine relaxers. I told him to get some fresh air so he's getting himself some lunch.
crimpgirl yes, got epi yesterday, it has also been its own dramatic piece of the puzzle. It's way stronger on one side and I have to stay at a decent angle otherwise it goes up past my left boob which sucks. Doc says the oxygen helps the baby to stay oxygenated through contractions, past due placentas can be temperamental with their oxygen supply.
