I seriously have the worst luck hiring work out. The counter top guys dropped the Quartz slab for the island and we can't get a new one for a couple weeks. Our cooktop is in the island but can't be hooked up without the counters.

That's a bummer @unicornofthesea
I'm soooo ready to ditch the infant car seat. At 24lbs he is a beast to lift in the seat but transferring between the two cars is breeze. I wear him most of the time we are out anyways I just need to get my stuff together and go buy new car seats.

DH is pissing me off tonight. Right when I started cooking dinner he decided to take a nap. WHAT?!?!? I know you are tired but suck it up and go to bed when we are done eating.
It's almost 3 hours later and he is still sleeping. A little help at some point today would have been nice.

Hell no to 3 hours. H naps too, but only for like 20 min on the couch until I tell a kid to go climb on him.
LO is waking up at 4am pretty consistently and it's killing me. If he's happy, I leave him in the crib to babble to himself but that usually only last for about 20 minutes. Then he starts crying. I don't want to wake my DD up so one of us goes and gets him. I typically try to leave the room dark and either rock him or lay down on the couch with him. I do not want to feed him or play with him though. What else do I do? I'm good with a 5:30 wake up but 4 is just too much.
What else can I do that won't interfere with DD's sleep?
How long has this been happening? DS2 went through a phase like this for a few weeks or a month but grew out of it. Could you play with moving his naps and or bedtime later?
H was supposed to be done with work at 9...and i still haven't heard from him. This is day 6 of him being gone. It's hard because of us not being in a good place. The boys have been great and it's been easier than I thought solo parenting that long. I really don't know what's going to happen when he gets back. I just want to punch him in the face everyday.
Ugh. That is frustrating. Sorry! Is he out of town still? When is he coming back?

I know, right? What he calls a nap I call a decent nights sleep.
How are you guys still carrying your LO in an infant seat?! My arms were killing me and I could barely carry him so we switched him to a convertible at 7 months.
I am still using the infant seat because it's so much easier to cart her around when I have all 3 kids. She's not huge - about 19 lbs, so it's still bearable and totally worth it.
Well today sucked. I got in a bad car accident this morning on the way to work. I was turning left and some lady blew through the red light and t boned me. It was completely terrifying.
Looking at that picture it kind of amazes me that I'm OK. I'm bruised where my seatbelt was and very sore all over, but it could have been soooo much worse. I'm thankful ds wasnt with me!
Now I have to get a new car. I loved my Prius but does anyone have a car they really love that I should check out?
Oh my gosh, renbee! I am so glad you are ok. How frightening! Your car looks like it's in bad shape. It is amazing that you weren't badly hurt. What was that woman thinking???
I'm a big fan of Honda. I had a Civic and loved it. We now have a Pilot and an Odyssey.
Wow, renbee! Glad you weren't too hurt! That is terrifying, though.
I agree with minae01 and Hondas. My mom has driven a CRV forever and I have one now, too. It's the perfect city-sized SUV for us (I think it's called a crossover SUV). If you want something bigger there is the Pilot or Odyssey.
Unsolicited advice: don't settle with the insurance company for a long time (like several years). Some issues can take a while to appear and they will want to close the case asap. A coworker was in a terrible accident but had no injuries. About a year later she started having neck pain. Her doctor and PT both think it's from the accident.
Anyways, we are a Honda and Hyundai family.
Interesting... I haven't gone to the doctor or anything. I'm definitely sore but amazingly don't seem to be injured.
Plot twist - apparently the girl that hit me might be uninsured. The policy information she gave me was cancelled or expired on December 8. She told me she had just moved here and she was kind of a mess, but otherwise seemed trustworthy. I'm hoping maybe she just gave the wrong info but probably I'm going to have to pay my deductible and run it through my insurance 😡
A couldn't decide what she wanted for her birthday dinner but she knew she wanted donuts for breakfast so DH went out before work and grabbed her a dozen
renbee, glad you are OK, how scarry. I hope the insurance thing works out:( And if there was a car seat in there it probably needs to be replaced, even with no occupant (you probably know this, but thought I would mention it just incase)
We have a Honda Odyssey, and we really like it (you know, for it being a minivan and all). If you have any interest in a minivan, the Odyssey, or the Toyota Sienna are most highly recommended for safety.

Sorry about the game gooselover2012. Not thrilled about the Patriots going to the SB again. 😐
FFMC: The Patriots are our local team and I'm not thrilled about it either.
Also, Tom Brady is hot and all but I don't get the hype. With all his money and fame he does very little for the local community compared to his teammates (and other NFL players) who make far less than him.
First day of the spring semester!! Easy to tell with the group text going off loud and proud at 5am, ugh. 10 hour orientation today. I'm dreading the long, boring, most likely pointless day but am excited to get back.

I'm here. Just got back from my first day of lecture. I'm already overwhelmed so I'm planning on probing and unwinding for a bit before studying later.
I am here. I attempting to pay attention at work, but failing. I am leaving early to attempt to pick up the house a bit before everyone else gets home. I wish I could take a nap instead of cleaning.
Target is having a pretty good sale on baby stuff right now. We were already buying a jogging stroller and ended up getting a $40 gift card with the purchase. Looking forward to some nice weather for outside running!
I'm here. I'm not feeling well again. I battled something on and off a couple of weeks ago, and I thought I was in the clear. I'm going to take a nap instead of laundry, since all kids are sleeping.
Tell me more about this please. I'm looking for something myself and 8 minutes seems about what time I have to spare.
Well the first workout is the fit test, which is 8 min. But all of her workouts are 20 min. It is a 90 day challenge and you do a 20 min workout 6 days a week. It's a mix of strength and cardio workouts. I love it because I can fit the workout in whenever I get some time.
This sounds great! Do you have to buy dvds or what?
