My baby now sleeps on his belly. I put him on his back, but he immediately flips over and wedges himself against his crib bars with one arm hanging out. Trying to not be nervous about him not being on his back. Maybe just maybe belly sleeping is the answer to our sleep issues!
E's been rolling onto his belly to sleep since about 12 weeks? I was nervous at first but it is what it is. If I tried to roll him back over every time, no one would sleep. He seems to sleep much better that way.

We are in the same boat here. Just two days ago she decided to roll immediately to her tummy as soon as I put her down - even if she is already asleep! We have had decent sleep both nights that she has done it but it makes me SOOO nervous!

Yayyy melody330!! I'm so glad you had a good night!
We had a good night too! Only one wake up at about 11:00 and she went right back down after a short feed, so I got a solid 6 hours of sleep! I feel amazeballs!
We're still up 3-4x a night I need to talk to H and tell him this whole going to bed at 11:30 thing isn't working for me right now. Mama needs more sleep, especially when usually Sam gets his best stretch of sleep that first one while we're still awake.

We are still up 3-4 times too. Boo. His longest stretch is 3 hours but usually closer to 2 hours. I'm getting crankier and crankier.
I jumped in here from A16 (baby born in July) to check on how your babies are sleeping. Lately we have been up every 45 minutes 😳 until I give up and cosleep/ nurse her all night long. I hated sleep training with DD1 and it didn't work for her anyway. I guess I'm glad to see some of you still struggling (sorry to say!) and that sleep training seems to be working. Maybe this will be my kick in the pants to start...

Hey! Welcome stay and hang out! I'm sure I'm destined to never sleep again so I'll need some company.
Sorry you're in the shitty sleepers club. My guy was every 45 minutes for a while. Now we are up to 3-4 hour stretches. I can deal with this for a few more weeks until I'm ready to sleep Train and cut out a night feeding.
J gave me a 4 hour stretch last night but the whole rest of the night was crap. I don't know if this trying to stretch out feedings is going to work. I'm so tired. I want my 2 month old baby back that would give me 6-8hr stretches.
Does anyone else still have baby in the room with them?

When flints sleep got super shit we moved him out. Sleep improved a lot after that. It I still get max 4hrs

Welcome! Things aren't good over here, but they are improving. Sad to say that waking every 2-3 hours is good at this point! At least wake ups are short. Stopping nursing to sleep and putting him down awake helped the most - I'd say that's the best first step. Good luck! Join us anytime - I'm sure this thread will be around for a while 🙁

rungirlrun It's really depressing, but I'm jealous of 2-3 hours in a row. Maybe tonight will be a magical surprise. I swear the worst part is that I go to bed with this *hope* every night. Then by 11 or so, I realize there is no hope! Lol

I tried limiting nursing, but that made things so bad. E would cry for 2 hours until I gave up and fed him. Going to try again in a couple weeks and be really serious about it. For now, I'll just deal with the 3-4 wakeups. At least they're quick, and I know my H is thankful he's not doing MOTN walks anymore with a screaming baby!
I'm here! She has slept a couple hours tonight, but things seem especially off. I'm giving up - she's on the couch rolling and spitting, and I'm watching food network and eating banana bread.
Ugh, I'm a little worried I might have mastitis... Our first wake up my left side hurt so I made sure to nurse on it, now we're up for the second time and it REALLY hurts and I'm starting to feel blah 😞

Nooo!! Get Abx ASAP in the morning. Most OBs will call it in when you tell them you suspect mastitis.
mcktymck, take as hot of a shower as you can stand, and do some compressions in the hot water. The feverish feeling with aches and chills was the big tell tale sign for me. If you have a fever around 101 definitely call your OB!

I think this is where we're at. My baby just likes to eat at night and she goes right back to sleep too.
glaze W is still in our room. If we moved him I would be wide awake after each feeding. Lol
That's how I am. I just always wonder if it hinders my babies sleeping though but oh well I guess. I'm glad I'm not the only one with a baby still in the room!
W was suppose to sleep with his helmet on all night. But I found him on his stomach. I took it off thinking for some reason he must have accidently got that way because of the helmet...
Guess who I keep finding on their stomach tonight. Lol
Well after an awesome night last night, it's a shit show over here. We literally did the exact same things at bedtime. He's been up every two hours.
I don't get it. Hope everyone else is having a better night!
We had a great night last night (only 2 quick wake ups) despite not doing anything different than normal. The night before was a disaster. I don't get it. But until he has like a month of good sleep, I'm not getting too excited!

I feel bad complaining after seeing many of you are getting up so frequently. Ever since Christmas-time, A goes to sleep around 7-7:30pm every night and sleeps until about 3-4:00am but then he is such a monster to get back to sleep. He wants to part-ay. I usually nurse him and he's sleepy again but then when he goes back in the crib, he stays awake. I've tried a paci, rocking, rubbing his head (usually that works when he fights naps).
He usually just babbles. Sometimes he falls asleep, other times he gets progressively louder until I give in and just get up. But then first nap is like 6:00...and on days where I have to go in to the office, it just messes him up so much. Another facet to this is that we are sharing a room so I can't just turn the monitor volume down. I wish we had a place for him to sleep on his own but I am just not comfortable having him on a different floor. I usually just go to bed when he does to make sure I am getting ample rest, but honestly I'm going crazy because I literally have no me-time or down time if I do that. Thanks for letting me vent.
madamewaffles I have been in the same place, only the opposite end of the day. Mine was waking up multiple times between 8-fa11 pm but slept well after that. I also felt bad complaining because I was getting decent sleep at night and felt rested. But its also hard to have zero time to yourself or have any baby-free time with your husband. I wish I had sleep advice but I don't. Complain away!
