Made an angel food cake yesterday. Today, I feel like covering it in a shitload of homemade chocolate frosting. Yep, that's my plan today.
DH leaves tomorrow for 2 weeks. Not looking forward to it, but I understand. He wants to visit friends before life gets too busy.
SIL offered to take DD to swim lessons on weekends. I think I'm going to take her up on that offer. I'm looking at it as a win-win-win situation. DD learns to swim, they get quality time together, and I get some time to myself.
Our house has been in shambles since an IKEA shopping trip last week. My husband assembled everything over the week. We are getting shit done today, and it feels so good! Like we can see the floors again. 900 square feet is rough.

1000 square feet here, which I ordinarily really like except when there's clutter (or bad weather).

Same! It actually feels like plenty of space. I just wish we had outdoor space. And adding another human in here might be interesting.

We lived in a 1000 sq ft condo when DD was born and bought our house when she was 18 mos. We made it work but I can't imagine having 2 kids in that space, props to you guys heisenberg & iqeb

We have a very open floorplan, 2 baths, a decent size master and two pretty small kid rooms. And a back yard, and generally awesome weather.

We have a really good layout and are pretty minimalist. My husband is an architect, so he likes the challenge of maximizing our square footage. I love our neighborhood, and we can walk to everything (and can't afford a house in this neighborhood). All that said, i really don't know how it's going to work with two. Once we get uncomfortable, we'll probably start looking for a house.

Omg. I already had a piece of leftover birthday cake with my lunch but that picture is making me want to dig into the leftover cheesecake in the fridge, too, ourcrazynavylife
I've been on call with work so if that's not waking me up it's DS and his new hobby of sleepwalking or pregnancy bladder. I can't remember when I got a full night's sleep last.
Work is crazy busy. We have til end of next month to get funding for our program or we close shop. So I've been a bit MIA as we spruce the place up a bit for our stakeholders meeting coming up.
Other than that, my GTT is next week. I'm not looking forward to it at all. I haven't put on much weight since my first check up which I'm ok with. And so far I'm approved to attempt my VBAC.
