I got sucked into Facebook, but mostly last week was just busy. I was home with both kids alone while MH was at work. Staying home with two kids is HARD.
A is so close to crawling! She's been scooting around on her tummy for a few weeks. This morning she got up on all fours and moved one hand forward, then shimmied both legs forward, then moved the other hand forward. If she can coordinate the arms and legs moving at the same time she is going to be seriously mobile.

Sorry I've been just on facebook lately! Work has been crazy and I'm really trying to be more present when I'm around the kids. When I'm not working or chasing kiddos I'm asleep. Or eating.
I've also been cleaning out the playroom and putting things up for sale on facebook. And getting rid of baby clothes. H is getting a V scheduled. I've been bad about taking my BC and unless I'm pregnant we are done. With biological children. We have talked about adoption for the future.
I need hobby that doesn't use the internet. Currently I'm a forum junky and that's about it. I need more in my life. Maybe a creative outlet. I haven't been creative lately.
In more exciting news, Ridley actually feel asleep in the living room! It's been at least a month since I've been able to get her to sleep somewhere besides our bed. She's been so picky lately I didn't think we'd ever be able to go do things without ruining her feeding/napping schedule. She still gets really distracted, so it may not be possible, but it's at least a start.

I have created a huge bad habit with rocking Is to sleep... not in a chair... in arms while standing. For naps and bed. This was fine when she was tiny but as a 15lb 7 month old, my body is breaking. I have no idea how to transition out of this. Ideas? I'm worried about screwing up the sleep which has been half decent at night. She's a frequent (3-4) short napper (45 mins) so when we're home it feels like I'm rocking her all the time.

fishbulb Yay for learning to crawl! Have you baby proofed yet?? Is lifts her stomach off the ground and kicks her feet but no crawling yet. She prefers sitting to tummy time these days so I'm doing massive cheering when she does push-ups.

We're still mostly baby proofed from DS who is almost three. The problem we're having is teaching him to keep his toys with small parts up and away from her when he's not using them. DD shoves everything into her mouth these days.

That's rough. I would say cut out the fucking before naps first. That way you're at least getting some sleep at night still. Maybe try transitioning to another method? Maybe even sitting down. I don't know. That's tough.
H brought home a dozen doughnuts last night and I want to eat them all. Why he didn't just get two I will never understand. He always gets a full dozen.
I finally got a winter coat for the first time in like 6 years. Now maybe my Raynaud's won't act up so much on walks!
OMG, she has been eating for 45 minutes and I'm about to lose my cool. I'm so fidgety. I need her to be done already. I can't keep laying here with her! Ah!

I like cross stitching but I have trouble finishing them. Around 2002 I started a big celestial themed cross stitch (10x13 or so). When we decided to do a space theme for Allie's nursery I finally finished it.
fishbulb, my mom started knitting me a blanket when she was pregnant with me. She finished it when I was 13. >.<
It was terrible. The yarn she started with was discontinued so she bought one the same colors but thinner yarn. But she was determined to finish it for some reason.

I'm still here intermittently. Christmas and New Years was crazy around here. So glad to be back in our routine. DS2 has his first cold and it sucks. So much snot.

Question for those of you that frequent parenting: I'm thinking of joining in, but should I change my profile pic first? I don't want to upset a bunch of loss moms. Thanks!

I haven't been on parenting too long. I haven't noticed anyone getting upset about avatars or the mention of los. But I think it's great that you are being thoughtful!
We're having a snow day here - daycare and my school are canceled and MH's job has essential employees only reporting. So of course both kids were awake at 6am when our normal wake up time is 6:30.

If you're in love with your avatar (and not just the person in it!) I wouldn't worry about it. Parenting (the board) in general has a requirement of having a pretty thick skin in regards to just about everything.

Truth. Haha
They tend to get focused on certain things too.
Like poop.
For some reason, we seem to do long drives on Fridays. So I read the FFFC's, DH sees me chuckling and insists I read them aloud. I usually don't get too far before poop makes it's way in.
