Ever since the baby has been here DS only naps like every other day at home but like over Christmas he fell asleep out at a restaurant at 6pm. Like asleep at the table. Idk what to do.

I'm very breezy with DS not taking naps. I don't force the issue, and he's totally fine. It's not the end of the world, he plays and might need to go to bed a little earlier, but not by much. I cared a lot when he was under one, but I can't pretend I care anymore.
It is very difficult with two. I really need that break or I would never get anything done since he goes to bed at 8 and I have to go to bed at 9 since the baby wakes up at night if I want to get a few hours of sleep. But more importantly, he is noticeably cranky and hyper when he skips the nap and then crashes. I just don't know how to get him to nap when he needs it and won't.

Does anyone have any experience with water heaters? Apparently ours needs replaced and I wanna know if it's an easy task or if we need to hire someone.
DD just barfed in our bed. It's so sad seeing your kid sick. Just got it all cleaned up and fresh sheets, so FX she falls asleep soon. Poor girl. I thought she was over it because she was doing well today, but I guess I'm staying home with her tomorrow.

Poor girl! Everyone I've heard with this stomach bug it only lasted 24 hours. The twins had it Monday and today (one mon the other today) so I am praying DD doesn't get it... Her bday party is sat!

J says his boss replaced his own. He's not super handy, so it can't be too difficult.
ETA we just got a quote for our new house and it was $1800 installed from Costco (Knochelman's). 5 bed, 2.5 bath, so may be less for a smaller house

It's probably the thermocouple that has gone bad, they go out frequently in water heaters. We have replaced that piece twice in the past 3 years. It's pretty simple to replace and only cost $12-15. Our plumber told H it was pretty easy to do and suggested he watch a YouTube video on replacing one. It took H about an hour start to finish. If your H can handle turning off the gas (assuming it's not electric) to the water heater and taking out a few screws, he can probably do it. Sorry this was way longer than I intended.

Is it gas? Are you all handy with plumbing stuff (joints, disconnecting lines and cutting with a hack saw if needed, etc.)?

lindsay I'm not too bad. TMI, apparently they put a catheter in during the procedure and the burning from that has been the worst part. I cried a bit in pre-op, I think it was realizing the finality of everything that got me. I think it helped that my 1st tri symptoms went away before my followup u/s, and I basically had 2 weeks to prepare for this. Friday was rough, but I've been good. One day at a time, we'll see how tomorrow goes.

I know people who have done it themselves that I wouldn't think of as super handy. We hired a plumber to replace ours in the old house and it cost around $1500.

I guess our $1000 quote wasn't too bad then.
My dad has changed theirs twice. The first time he switched the system from gas to electric. He's handy, but I wouldn't say he's a plumber.

DH is. He can replace pipes under the sink and use a hacksaw. I think he should try it himself.
