Are there any teachers/school workers in here? ILs were invited to come down for a visit/meet&greet with L at the end of January. SIL1 RSVPed a maybe depending on their health. Is January the worst for students and bus monitors for getting sick?

C had 7 ounces of food within an hour tonight... like seriously I don't know how he fits so much in there. Aren't their tummys still supposed to be small right now? He was still physically hungry and crying after I gave him 4 then 5 then 6.
waitwhat, luckily being half black with curly hair, I'm not supposed to wash it more than once a week! I usually wash, put it in a protective style, and I wear a satin bonnet when sleeping! Braids and twists can look good for several days if I remember my bonnet! DH usually laughs at my bonnet though when he's come!
cheshie6 DH, my mom, and I are all teachers. Or at least I was before I had Lillian. The answer is yes and no. Flu season usually picks up in January and there are a lot more colds in the winter, but I never saw an uptick in kids being out in one month over another. What generally happens is that viruses move through the school/grade over the course of a couple weeks. I've seen this happen in every month, but yes it's more likely to occur in Nov-March. DH stocks his room with tissues and hand sanitizer for the winter. We used to wipe down everything with disinfecting wipes in the kinder classes the whole year every week or when obviously needed. Working in a school or with kids, you're exposed to everything all the time so when viruses are more prevalent it's more likely that you'll get sick. I'd say as a teacher, I'd always RSVP with the caveat that I could be sick/have been exposed to something regardless of the month.
I think I had my first evening fussy time! Happened about 2 hours before bath time. Very interesting! L slept over 3.5 hours before our first wake up but he seems to be wide awake. Lights are still off, white noise app still going? Why is he still awake after an hour and 40 minutes!?! Luckily I have no solid plans tomorrow (today)!

This is what O does a lot. I haven't figured out why or how to fix it, but he'll wake up after his first 3 hour stretch and sometimes it takes 2+ hours to get him back down.

+1 for this. It was funny because he always seemed to do it when H woke up with him. He would do down pretty easy with me but the next morning H would complain about how he was up for 2 hours. It might just be something they grow out of. He doesn't do it as much now although he did it last night. It's so hard to see him wide awake and smiling and have to ignore the cuteness.
I have actually thought about starting such a thread before.
LOL. This reminds me of that scene in "This is 40", where Leslie Mann describes how she fantasizes about killing Paul Rudd by poisoning his cupcakes.
I love that movie!!! With H back at work, I guess noes the time to watch all the movies on repeat that we can never agree on esp since I could easily be interrupted from watching - so this one it is first!
