Milestones: Sometimes he can stand for a few seconds on his own, but he doesn't like it. He dances a lot now too.
Challenges: We've actually hit a really good/easy time since the holidays. He's happy and sleeping perfectly. Meal times have become a source of frustration though. My previous perfect eater has been replaced with a kid who only wants carbs and protein.
Funny/cute story: He is super sweet all of a sudden. When I read him stories, he looks up at me and smiles, and sometimes will give me a kiss out of the blue. My heart melts.
How are you? I'm good. Still trying to get organized from the holidays. He got so many toys, lol. Also trying to find things for us to do to get out of the house. We are nearing his birthday and it's about time we get out and find some friends.
QOTW: What's one thing you're really looking forward to in 2017 (besides your LO's birthday)? We don't have much planned. But my bestie is getting married in September, so that'll be fun.
Milestones: getting better at scooting. She can even stay on her hands and knees for a bit of you put her there, but she can't get there on her own yet. Soon enough.
Challenges: We still haven't fully baby proofed yet. So she's keeping me on my toes. I have no idea how we're going to baby proof the game shelves.
Funny/cute story: nothing really this week
How are you? Doing alright. Starting to get a little more sleep.
QOTW: What's one thing you're really looking forward to in 2017 (besides your LO's birthday)? Getting a new car! H totaled ours last month and we're still waiting on insurance. «

Age: 23 weeks tomorrow
Milestones: teething and constantly trying out new sounds
Challenges: teething means he doesn't want to be put down. Lots of babywearing happening over here.
Funny/cute story:he has been screeching lately and I was screeching back at him when he did it. He thought it was super funny.
How are you? Tired but ok
QOTW: What's one thing you're really looking forward to in 2017 (besides your LO's birthday)? Hopefully working from home full time. It's looking like it's a real possibility right now!
I was thinking of blocking off our gaming systems and such with one of those gates. We will see... L never got into that stuff but S will probably be totally different.

crimpgirl my dad has not even visited to see S yet. I am very disappointed in him. My mom has visited twice for a week each in his 5 months here. My brother has seen S 3 times even though he generally hates babies.
I totally understand your feelings. I try very hard not to let it get to me.
W is 10 months! I'm having a mild panic attack that next month he will be one!! I just can't even.
Milestones: He is all over the place. He can almost, kinda, he is so close it's not even funny, standing on his own. He basically just holds on for security.
Challenges: The fucking top teeth teething. They. Are. Killing. Me. He cries a lot and chews all the things frantically.
Funny/cute stories: He has such an attitude. He gets this look on his face and will "argue" when I tell him no. It's so hard not to laugh at him. I basically think, my mom got her wish, I have a child that is just like me.
How are you: Good. H and I had a big heart to heart about our relationship, how we feel, etc. It was good to get everything out on the table.
QOTW: I have no plans atm. I may try to work out a gtg with @sarcazstic10 because I NEED to see baby Silas!
crimpgirl Yep, it only takes one massive blowout in a public place to learn that lesson.
megrae12 we are there with the standing too. I've seen him stand on his own a couple times now but only when he's distracted. I know he can too it, but he doesn't like the feeling of insecurity. He barely holds on to things now, just enough to feel safe, and I'm like "just let go!" I hope things are better after you had that talk with your H. That shit is hard.
