I just sent out my application for a breast pump even though I still have one that works fine from DS. Might as well get a new one if insurance covers it and I can donate my old one.
hpnegirl yes the hemorrhoids are sucky! Have had them since my first pregnancy and I hate them. And sleepymonkey, I have stepped up my shower game too. Sometimes I'll take an AM and PM shower these days...I hate feeling smelly.
For those struggling with constipation, 3 stool softeners and mint tea usually do the trick for me. I've also been surprised by the late-in-the-game constipation this time around.
My TMI is that the dreaded swamp-crotch has arrived early this time. I've actually started carrying around extra underwear and changing throughout the day cuz I feel so gross! I didn't have to do that till 32+ weeks last time. My second tri with DD was so much easier! I had days where I actually felt good. This time I'm just blah...

mcp6286, second tri was definitely easier with DD than this time. I was able to stay up past 8:30 and I felt decent most days. My third tri was even pretty easy with her. I have talked to a few women who said that their second pregnancies were harder than their first. I blame having to deal with a child already so you don't get the chances to rest like you did with the first.

I need to look into doing how that works with my insurance. I have a barely-used Medela PIS but it has been stored in the attic for 3 years so I'm iffy on even using it. I'm not really gung-ho on breastfeeding (FFWC?) but I figure it's worth a shot especially if I can get a pump for free.

Thanks ladies! I'm literally debating going to the ER just to make sure everything is ok. My on and off stomach cramps are pretty bad and not getting better... They still feel like gas but I'd rather play it safe... Definitely not fun times on vacation!

Are you hydrated? BH can be a bitch in second and third tri, especially when you are dehydrated

I think you're right. When I think about the amount of time I spent lying on the couch resting (and I must admit, feeling sorry for myself) during my first pregnancy, it blows my mind. My co-teacher is pregnant with her first and when we came back from Christmas break, she was telling me how she slept till 10:00 every day and watched all this TV and got massages. I am def a little jealous. My DD is wild and very persistent, so this pregnancy I spend most of my time chasing her, dancing, and being jumped on. It's amazing how you just find the energy because you have to. The upside: I've only gained half the amount of weight this pregnancy that I had last time by 23 weeks! But I want to be fun for her while she still is my only baby...my mom guilt is insane now that I'm pregnant!

Ugh this sounds exactly like how I was feeling this weekend. The body aches/chills came soon after. The good news is I only actually vomited once and once I was able to hydrate the stomach pain was much improved so i do think it was BH or contractions due to dehydration. The whole thing only lasted about 48h but no fun at all.
sleepymonkey, not a confession to me. I've always been of the "baby being fed? good" mindset. My mom never had an interest, and I think I'm pretty awesome It sucks that it's become such a judgmental thing.
hpnegirl, I've had some awful cramping and I think it may have been BH because I haven't hydrated nearly enough. I've basically been drowning myself lately and it's gotten better.

Hi ladies! Been away for a while but I'm back to reality now and back to work - they moved everyone's desks around while I was out and it is so disgustingly hot in my office, now I'm am sitting crammed between two people and sweating my ass off. Literally I have half of a desk to myself (and they aren't that big). I definitely feel like I smell worse, I may need to start carrying deodorant with me to reapply throughout the day.
We're on our way to the hospital just to be safe. I'm super thirsty but afraid of vomiting again. I talked to my mw practice twice and they agreed best to play it safe cause if I was home they would have me come in. Thanks for all the concern! I'll keep you all posted!

You'll feel so much better after some fluids. Good luck! So sorry this is happening on your vacation
@rosesquard feel better. I definitely get BH more when I haven't been drinking enough water.
I have been super gassy lately. But the constipation seems to be staying away so I think I'll take it.
I still feel like I have phlegm stuck in the back of my throat all day. Not fun at all to go the whole day gagging and not being able to loosen it at all.
I still gag every time I brush my teeth too. That's really annoying

lastkiss, the gagging got better for me for a few weeks but now it's back with a vengeance. I have to save brushing my back molars until last and do it really quickly or I will start gagging a bunch. And I have to make sure I take any pills on an empty stomach because I will gag to the point of throwing up when taking pills. So much fun.
@lildiamondeyes, sorry you're sick too! I will say that if you're sick enough for antibiotics, your body may heal faster if you give yourself a day off zumba. Good luck, either way!
I'm feeling annoyed but I can't tell if it's justified yet. Either my H didn't sign up for the insurance he thought he did or the insurance screwed something up on their part. I just got a call that instead of the $1500 personal dedectible that we thought I had, it's a family $3000 deductible. So we need start making payments on like $2500 worth of medical expenses that they're anticipating. I called H and left him a message that he needs to look into this and where the error lies. They also said we had an HSA and I was under the impression that we don't have one.
Our old insurance with his old job (when DS was born) was so awesome and we really didn't have to pay all that much.
I feel bad complaining because I know some people have it way, way worse and this truly is a FWP but it's a hit that I wasn't anticipating. And it makes me wonder how the hell we'll be able to afford two kids :/
lupincat unexpected medical bills are the worst! I hope you can resolve this quickly. I know that when I had some pop up, the hospital itself gave me a discount (30%) just for setting up a payment plan with them. Might be worth a try.
I also am nervous about affording 2 kids but more because of the cost of daycare. We're looking at $1,900 a month! That's 1.5 paychecks for me and totally negates me working at all since I could make up the difference tutoring part time. Finances suck 😕
lupincat maybe your plan works differently or I'm misunderstanding but don't family insurance plans typically have both individual and family deductible amounts? In which case your insurance will pay out for you after you have met your individual deductible for yourself and for the whole family after you have collectively met the family deductible.
