Baby girl slept like crap last night. I've been trying to be vigilant about her sleeping in the bassinet--DD1 was addicted to the swing and slept in it for almost 6 months, I felt guilty about that. Anyway this kid would not relax in the bassinet. I'm probably going to give in and let her sleep in rnp, mama needs some sleep. And hopefully once she settles in I can get her adjusted back to the bassinet or crib. She is just so snorty and congested sounding and seems uncomfortable but I don't think it's reflux. Probably bc she was a c/s baby she might have more fluid, dd1 was kinda like that too. Anyway, I never used gripe water before, did anyone else? The package said use at 2-4 weeks I think. Just curious any other experiences. I started giving her some gas drops jic. You get a cookie for listening to my newborn ramblings.
vlagroupie move her to the RNP, she's so little still to start habits and you need to get your rest. Maybe the RNP will help her congestion since it's a little elevated.
vlagroupie we used gripe water with dd and have started with ds. I have just been giving a very small dose, it is great for getting rid of uncomfortable hiccups.
ellabee, fx it's a one time thing and you feel better.
carrots, I'm sorry. That must be so uncomfortable. I had lots of days of non-productive poops before forcing myself to add vegetables and fiber and was so uncomfortable I could barely bend over. I can't imagine 0.
I have another MW appt today. I guess at 36w they do 2 weeks of group appts but still get 1 on 1 time so this will be a long one. I'm just happy to get my bp checked. I still read high but not alarming on my cuff.
I got so much accomplished yesterday it was silly. It's amazing what a good nights sleep will do. I paid all my January bills for work and home, printed out pre-registration stuff, made a meatloaf for dinner and sliced/vacuum sealed the rest for freezer meals and made a pumpkin bread and did the same. It felt great to get things done that have been hanging over my head.
ellabee, ah man, I hope you're not getting sick . heybulldog56, keep us posted on the plan - boo to no dilation. vlagroupie, sorry for the lack of sleep. We didn't really use gripe water, but we did use gas drops, and those seemed to help at night.
Anyone have any recs for milk storage bags? NOT Lansinoh. I lost over 100 oz of milk due to breaks in the seams with the Lansinoh bags, so I am afraid to use them again. Have any STMs used Target brand?
carrots, same time periodish. I did look at recent reviews on Amazon and it seems people are still having the same issue :\. I had one batch of 100 bags that was completely fine, another where every other bag leaked.
rinny, I can't "recommend" because I haven't used them, but I bought the tommy tippee ones that attach to their own bottles from BRU. They were on BOGO Black Friday so right now the cost might be a hindrance. The reviews were very good so I went with that.

ellabee, Oh no! I hope you don't have a flu bug. I woke up not feeling great but that could be the lack of sleep this week.
heybulldog56, Well....at least you aren't walking around at 4cm with no signs of baby coming? Lol But it's so frustrating to start getting down to the wire with NO progress. Like, body! Get your act together!
@orangcrush, Hugs lady. I stress about the same things lately. I don't even have anything left to do for this kid to arrive and I'm still freaking out that I just can't remember what I need to do.
I had dreams all night about going into labor but not remembering ANYTHING about going into labor. Like, I'd skip time in my dream and the next thing I knew, I was in the hospital because apparently I was in labor. It was weird. And every time I woke up during the night, I couldn't tell if all the pain I was remembering was real or just dream me. I need more sleep.
On the plus side, our insurance is sending someone out to check on the roof, finally. So yay us.
On the not plus side, DS sounds like he's getting a cold and has a runny/stuffy nose and I've been feeling some vague cold symptoms.
carrots Fleet glycerine suppositories are my go-to right now. They are gentler than oral laxatives but definitely work. Usually within 30 minutes. I got them on Amazon. I'm also taking a fiber gummy twice a day which are more palatable than Metamucil and seem to help.
rinny I used Lansinoh the whole time with DS and never had any leaks but I honestly didn't freeze much, I was usually pumping for the next day
@joybaby5 ouch on the mastitis! It can happen. It can even happen after you wean if you did BF. Boobs are weird. Good luck with your solo time, good to hear from you!
tex can you nicely ask that no one comment on when baby arrives? Just say you are getting a lot of questions and it's frustrating to not have answers?

Got to sleep in until 7:30, mat leave is already awesome. Though I didn't sleep great, so uncomfortable. Still feel more rested than yesterday.
Belly check at 11:15. My goals for today are to send in my disability claim online, pay bills, reset the bucket seat, and wash the bucket seat and the rnp cover. Anything else is a bonus.

Thanks for all the love, friends. I really appreciate it and you made me smile.
My OB was so understanding and open to the idea of sticking to the VBAC plan if that's what I wanted. At the same time, she did have legitimate concerns. She sat and talked over everything with me and she was super honest about the situation. She told me baby's size could be off by 13% in either direction and will continue to grow by .5 lb per week. She said because he is big she would not alllow me to go past due date (16th). Also, he has not dropped into my pelvis and as I mentioned, cervix is high and tight. She was more worried about the fact that he hadn't dropped than with my cervix.
I was able to call Dh and talk with him for a while. We ultimately agreed to schedule surgery. My ob was able to secure Thursday Jan. 12, which was as close to due date as we could get. She wants me to go back in Monday for a check and perhaps we shall switch plan to induction but I wanted a section date just in case.
I am scared and disappointed. I want a VBAC but I am scared that what happened with DS will happen again. I do not want to labor for 26+ hours and eventually be rushed to surgery. I am disappointed that I am considering "giving up" but it just seems like odds are against my VBAC being successful.

Rant ahead.
I understand that when things don't go smoothly, it's frustrating. I understand that when you book your appointment in advance, it's even more frustrating when things don't go smoothly.
You are coming to a service department of a dealership. An auto shop. We are not a rental car company. We cannot guarantee loaners on ANY given day, especially a week in advance, because we never know if repairs will take longer to do or parts don't come in on time or, God forbid, someone have an emergency and comes in as a walk-in.
My office is the cashier office. We take payments. We walk you out to cars. We don't schedule you. Take your frustrations out on the adviser who said there would be a car waiting for you. Not that that will make a difference but at least direct your anger at the right people.

heybulldog56, Big, big hugs lady That's a hard decision to make and I'm glad your OB was willing to go over all the options on the table and the pros and cons/reasons why something may be better than something else. I wish this wasn't a choice you had to make. Hopefully, it will put your mind at ease eventually that your OB has been so on board with your decisions and that she doesn't seem like she would encourage surgery unless it really might be the best option for your health and baby's health.
It's still a week away and things can change a lot in that time so maybe you'll still get your VBAC before the surgery appointment. But if not, maybe our babies will come at the same time! I've given up hope that this one is arriving early.
Big hugs heybulldog56. I'm sorry it's not what you wanted - I agree with others who have said that doing what you feel is best for your baby is not in any way giving up.
Hugs heybulldog56, like others have said, do not believe you are giving up. All of our birth plans are best case scenarios. Things change and sometimes life laughs at our plans. You have not given up because, in the end, you will have a baby. That's the end goal here. We do not get metals for a certain type of birth.
heybulldog56 hugs girl. Your OB sounds pretty awesome. Maybe things will progress between now and that date. And if they don't you'll know you're making a safe choice for your fanily.
I have the same fears regarding a VBAC which I why I am strongly considering the RCS at this point. It's a lot of feelings.
