I'm here! Good luck at target mrscatfarmer13! Had a crazy disorganized morning because I couldn't find E's backpack (H left it in the garage), so I forgot my lunch on the counter at home. I normally just grab lunch and eat at my desk, but I really want skyline. Is it weird to go to skyline and eat by myself? I have weird anxiety about doing that.
H and I are trying to get our budget under control. With the holidays and redoing our basement, we have spent so. Much. Money.
Not well. We didn't squish the tiles down enough into the thin set so a bunch of tiles didn't stick (probably about 30%). I think I figured out what we did wrong but we have to scrape/chisel the thin set out of those areas so that we can put the tiles back down. And then tile the remaining areas of the basement. Soooooo we have a lot of work to do. So depressing.

Ok! I'm going to do it! Skyline sounds so delicious and it's across the street. I forgot to wear a coat and took home my "back up" coat that i typically leave in my office. Adulting is obviously hard for me.

I'm sorry. Hopefully in the end it will be worth your trouble.

mrscatfarmer13 I think it will be worth it! It's a pain, but so far H and I are having fun doing it together. This is our first major home improvement project we are attempting (we've just done little things so far). If we can do this I think it will give us confidence to do other stuff around the house.
Skyline sounds good. I just made mac n cheese but maybe I will to get buffalo wrap there for lunch part 2. For the babies....
Two lunches is really my ideal pregnancy diet also. I lose my appetite at night, so dinners have been sparse. But if i can eat lunch around 11:00 and then again around 2:00 that's just about perfect. Mac n cheese sounds good too. It's pasta bar in the cafeteria today.
@mrscatfarmer how'd the interview go? I forgot to ask... fingers crossed for you.
The interview went well, he said that even if he went with someone else, he sill wanted me to apply for a (lateral) position on his team. He was OOO the last 2 weeks so everything is at a standstill.
One of my friends in IL is pregnant. Their son will be 18 months when the new baby comes and they're saying they're going to move him to a big kid room and twin bed and just give the new baby the nursery. I was like...Yeah... good luck with that...
Our new niece should be in the world any minute if she's not already. She had to report to the hospital at 10:00, which is 11:00 here. It's been 2 hours. She should be here, right?
Omg it's a good thing H isn't home right now. I'm organizing his drawers and parts of the closet and it's a total disaster. Crumpled up nice sweaters and pants, mixed with workout gear and tshirts

Ugh, the closet situation is opposite in our house. I'm going to just put all my clothes in big bins and store them somewhere for the next 8 months.

Was she always scheduled for a section or was this a recent development?

So H just told me that because we pay monthly for daycare that we can't apply for reimbursement until the entire month is up. I know policies vary, but this seems odd to me. He got this info second hand from a coworker so I'm going to look at everything tonight. Thoughts?
Eta to clarify, this seems weird because daycare is paid in advance so it seems backwards to wait until the end of the paid time period. It's not like I get a refund for the days he's not there.

This is true for us as well. I guess they have to be sure you won't leave mid-month and get reimbursed for that time from the DC.

They scheduled it a couple of weeks ago. Baby is breech and she has a bicornuate (heart-shaped) uterus, so it was really unlikely that baby would flip.

What about 20 months for a big kid room and bed? 😬
