Maybe it's worse south or at least inside the 275 loop? We have like a dusting. The snow plows have already been down my street twice. It's like they are preparing for a blizzard.
Men and their toys. They all probably woke up really excited today to go out with their plows! I swear that's what it is sometimes. And then when we get a later season storm they will be nowhere. 🙄

I am working from home today, but all said and done I am a weenie when it comes to driving in the snow, despite having survived years in CT (where I almost always worked from home when it snowed).
I went in to the office. The roads really aren't that bad and the snow is pretty. I'm a little worried about the snow that's supposed to come in this afternoon, but if it looks like it's going to be bad I'll leave early and finish the day at home.
Nice JoBub enjoy the snow day! We are holed up inside anyway snuggling this baby. I got a few stretches of 2 hrs of sleep and feel slightly normal again, it's the little things lol.
So, is it a Ffc that I am really annoyed that the PTO holds a Mom's Night Out? What about dads? I know I should go to the events because I think it's a little bit of a fundraiser, but the president of the PTO is a dad for goodness sake! It just sort of turns me off.
The snow isn't that bad. Thankfully the kids still have school. I'm hoping it doesn't get much worse and They end up with an early release or something... Cause then they won't go at all (afternoon preschool). FX guys. Lol I did hear the more South you are the more snow you will get.

Maybe make a suggestion that it be called Parents Night Out instead?

I have my curtains drawn so I can watch the pretty snow fall in my office. Hopefully it's a slow, calm day with work, because yesterday wasn't, and I was ready to tell them today that either new girl starts training and taking over, or I walk. But the first call I got today was about getting her training ready. They better not come back and say in a few weeks, because that's going to be a no from me.

The news said 1-3 further north and it might pick up around rush hour. Thankful to be stuck at the house.

Maybe. I feel bad being critical since I do zero pto things.
The only road bad on my way into work was my street. It hasn't been touched, but everything else was clear. I'm working all day in the office to FX the roads don't get too bad this afternoon.
DD is doing better. I kept her home one more day from the sitter just in case, but she's with my mom.
I think the afternoon forecast was probably the reason for closing school, more than this morning's road conditions. It's coming down pretty good now. I neglected to make copies before I left work yesterday, and I have to get them to another teacher by tomorrow morning, so I'll probably have to go in today to make copies. Boo
Trying to chug along with the cost management chapter of my study book for the pmp. Blech. It's not even hard compared to accounting and finance classes, but still. Just no.
We played in the snow at my mom's this morning. W had a blast, Z did not want to wear his snow clothes so he was meh about the whole thing. Now we're warming up and playing with Z's new Christmas toys. They're entertaining themselves so woo!

Does anyone have any ideas for something fun to do with kids this weekend? I feel like I've just been dragging them on errands and want to do something that they would really like. How's the aquarium on the weekends lately?
House cleaners came today, the place looks awesome I don't feel guilty at all for sitting on my butt while they cleaned. I shouldn't be cleaning anyway right? Also mil came over yesterday. She was saying her throat was a little sore. But she still ended up holding the baby. Today she told me she has strep throat. Wtf! I'm sure baby will be fine but I'm kinda freaking the fuck out about it. I'm officially not inviting family over for a little while. I just can't handle all this sickness. And I swear if I get strep I will kill her. I'm sure I'm overreacting bc N is probably the worst carrier of sickness right now, but I don't let her get too close to the baby if I can help it. Wow sorry that totally turned into a long rant.

Not sure about aquarium crowds but maybe try one of the indoor play areas--pogo, run jump and play.
My H is buying a secondhand couch today. I have mixed feelings about it. It looks just like what we've talked about getting (and just haven't gotten around to) and I'm happy about saving money for the back yard deck fund. But I made him promise he'll sniff the cushions before he agrees to buy it.

I would be pissed too. Is it too much to ask that people not hold your week old baby if they even have the tiniest suspicion that they're sick? I'm sure you and baby will be fine, but it's the principle.
I love getting my house cleaned. The best is walking in after work and everything is magically clean. I usually try to do take out on cleaning days to keep the kitchen clean for just one more day.

Yeah I think she should have said something. But she probably didn't want to disappoint bc she knew I wanted to take a nap and she was going to give mh a break too. And she brought us lunch. But I'm pretty sure we would have survived and didn't need lunch if I knew I was going to be exposed to strep, ugh.
