LizInFL cute! The scarf pulls it all together. YH's description is pretty funny though.
Ok it's crazy, but the talk of cradle cap and Mustela is making me want to hold a baby now! I used to love holding M and brushing to get the little flakes off his scalp. Weird, I know.
Thanks! And +1, I find anything involving picking like that so satisfying. So far C only has a bit of flakiness in her eyebrows, I'm sure it drives her nuts b/c I'm always brushing at it!
tgrimes1980 N has been cluster feeding from 7:30-10ish. MH cooks dinner (or we get takeout) and I either hold or nurse N while eating (or she may still be sleeping) around 6:45-7ish, then J plays, then MH does bath and gets jammies on closer to 8 and if N is nursing, then J picks out books for me and we read on couch or I give N to MH and read in his room. Then I normally have to go back in and say goodnight later and hand off N for that. MH does dishes and packs lunch. Basically he does everything for j and I hang out with N.
I've done gas drops the last 2 nights since she's been extra fussy and I think it's helping. Then we go to bed around 10:30 ish and she seems to be knocked out once she nurses while in the miracle blanket.

hi babes!
hope Christmas was good for everyone. Ours was okay, except for the rampant sickness my kids got three times. Worst Christmas break of our married/parenting careers, hands-down. Puking in the car, in the hotels. Just puke. Everywhere.
All that being said, so happy 2017 is here finally. Second transfer is in 19 days. we are transferring one baby girl. I have done a small update on my blog, but that's about it. Good appointments so far.

Hearing stories about how you guys juggle two is helping my little bit of anxiety. For the past two weeks though, M will freak out if MH is trying to do something for him and he declares that he wants Mommy to do it. I don't know where this is coming from, but it's making me nervous. I have 6 months to work on it. I hope it's just a phase and short-lived.
@kamikaziartist I feel you on the sick kids during the holidays. And how exiting! How are you feeling about it?
Guarded but excited. I want to feel positive about all of this. I don't want the dread I feel looming over me to overshadow the wonderful things that could happen. I just want them to have a baby. I want my body to be successful. Mindfulness is the theme for 2017 for me.

We're in a Mommy phase right now and I'd kind of attributed to the baby, but maybe it's an age/developmental thing? He wants me to do eveeeeryrthing. I talked to him about how Daddy and Mommy take turns, just like he takes turns at school with his friends, and I think it's helped a bit. Hopefully it's just a phase!
Good to see you check in kamakaziartist. I'll be thinking about you the next few weeks and hoping for success!
I brought the kids up to the playground for a bit; B's playing with some older boys and omg the screaming. B is not a screamer or shrieker so it makes me wonder if these kids do this at home or if it's just a playground thing. I don't think my nerves could take a steady diet if it!
I feel so accomplished today. During preschool S took a super long nap so I was able to wash all the dishes, clean up H's room and set up a little dress up area for her. Then my sister dropped off my nephew and all progress stopped. I washed my nephew's car seat because it's super gross, so I will have to let my sister borrow one of our other car seats until tomorrow to give it time to dry. I'm just counting the minutes until my sister shows up to pick him up.
ETA: this is the list of approved food you can have. Basic rule is you can eat as much as you need to to be full and no snacking. No making regular foods out of compliant food (like the protein pancakes out of eggs and banana as an example). They also discourage smoothies because they want you to eat your calories.
