Ugh. I realized this morning that DS1's next pedi endo appointment in February is at 1:30p, which is smack dab in the middle of nap time (yes, we stick to his schedule because he's a nightmare when we don't). We called to change it but they don't have a single opening until June 😭😭😭
@wineandcupcakes - I also am normally a stomach sleeper or flat on my back with my arms above my head. I bought a Snoogle and while right now I'm still mostly on my back, I can at least prop one or both of my legs up to alleviate any lower back pain. I've also woken up a few times still on my side when I use the long part against my back and sort of hug the top of the "C" the pillow makes. I agree with PPs - you need to basically pull out your shoulder to avoid the arm falling asleep. I don't do it well all the time and it does wake me up.
hpnegirl & thelittleredm - I also get bored without enough challenging work to do. It's pretty much the M.O. for business consultants though, from what I've seen. We're all mostly Type A overachievers. Nature of the job to some degree since the better work we do, the longer a client will keep paying us.
However, since getting pregnant, I now have lists of things I want to research, so that keeps me busy if work doesn't. Now I kind of hope for some downtime each day so I can get stuff done!
marshian, it's to the point that my boss just told me "I'm trying to find all the licensing actions I can to give to you!" I think the stack is currently about a foot high LOL
Haven't read the thread today because I'm out recruiting...so this might be a P&R. But tell me about the in-between stage for pants. My maternity jeans are still too big but the rubber band trick/belly band with my jeans isn't cutting it anymore. It's so uncomfortable. But I can't wear leggings literally every single day. Should I just go to Goodwill and buy a few pairs that are a size up?? I'm usually a 0, but I can tell my waist and thighs are getting bigger. The 0 in maternity jeans fall down and leave a gap between my back, and the full panel kind bunch up in the crotch. I'm kind of at a loss...
akraus2015 I'd try the larger size with a belly band if you can find them for cheap. That's what I had to do in the interim. The beauty of having the two sizes is you may use them during the postpartum period where your normal clothes don't fit right but maternity no longer fits either. I kept the larger size as my "fat" pants because bloating for periods after the baby was no joke for me

I think I might try this. The Goodwill in my town always has really nice stuff, and I don't want to pay $80-100 for brand new jeans I won't be able to wear very long.
I think what the ultrasound tech told me was a bilobed placenta is actually a succenturiate (accessory) lobed placenta, based on how she described it to me, which is much more rare, 0.2-0.3% of pregnancies. I *think* there is low risk (other than postpartum hemorrhage and other fun stuff associated with not delivering all of the placenta on my own) because mine are high and connected at the top, but hopefully the MW can confirm next week. Reading about vasa previa is scary.

akraus2015 I really liked maternity pants with side panels for that stage, and I wish I had bought them sooner because they are sooooo comfy. I got some for work from Old Navy that I still like and wear (I think this is the same style I have: oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=1020303&vid=1&pid=226554002).
No UO, but now the everloving eff do you side-sleepers do it?
I was a belly sleeper but now on my side I seem to compress my arm, which then falls asleep and I wake up in pain with a dead arm/hand/fingers from lack of circulation. My upper arms are always sore as well because of this.
Someone teach me how to sleep, kthanks.
Ps: I have a body pillow
I can still do a modified Captain Morgan pose which is mostly on my stomach if I wedge my left hand under my left hip and have my right knee as the bent one. At least for an hour or so. A thin pillow could also work but I have a hard time manipulating pillows when I'm half asleep.
I've mostly converted to side sleeping though at 37 weeks. I was a stomach/side sleeper before.

I have one pair of side panel and one pair of full-panel, but the side panel ones are still too big. They leave a huge gap in my back and keep falling down! I think they'll fit eventually, I just don't have enough belly to fill them yet.

akraus2015 , Workout pants (in solid black) were my friend at that stage, even if it was frustrating to be limited on what I was wearing. Good luck!
Yes! I've been living in the at home, but at work I have to step up my game a little bit. I have a pair of black maternity dress pants that are amazing, but I need a little bit more variety and something that I can tuck into my boots during these snowy days.

So how much should a typical baby shower cost?
My mom has tasked me with talking to a family friend about catering the food and picking what I want and stuff. But I'm worried the price is getting out of control. Shower is being thrown by my mom, my younger sister and my best friend. Friend is in charge of decorations and games, sister is mostly useless, mom is so far handling invitations, venue (because no ones house is big enough to host) and food. But between renting a community room and the food, the cost is already around $600 for about 35-40 people. Does that sound like way too much? I want to keep the budget under control since my mom will end up paying for almost everything. But since it's not at someone's house and we don't really want to do the food ourselves....
