Sunny41 we never started the melatonin. I just stayed constant with our bedtime routine and that has helped tremendously. She's usually asleep by 9:30 now without too much of a fuss. I believe @peachsmama might have been using it.
Pee retrieval is complete. I kept the offender in my room last night, so when he started moving around this morning I put the box down and he peed right away. After I get out of bed and showered I'll take it in to the vet office. Then I need to wrap presents and head to San Antonio to celebrate belated Christmas with my mom, my brother and his family. Should be fun.
Good morning! Big boy is at hockey practice. Little ones slept until 8. I reached my weight loss goal for this week. We are free all day until a hockey game at 6. Happy Weekend!
Morning! So mad at myself. I was supposed to go to a workout class with a friend at 8. I didn't set an alarm because kids. Of course they choose today to sleep in super late. I woke up at 7:56. No class for me. I was actually really looking forward to going.
ETA: sleeping in felt great tho! And both kids kids woke up happy so there's that.

Morning. Carter was at a sleepover last night. I hear they went to bed at 10 and were up at 550. I slept w Millie in his room since he has a queen bed. It's so warm in my house. I'm thinking of skipping gymnastics today and staying in pj's until after lunch.
Cold and rainy here today. DH is about to take B for a haircut, and I'm assembling chili in the crockpot. Not much on our agenda today; I think we may go to the outlets b/c DH wants to look for some fishing gear at Gander Mountain, and I wouldn't mind hitting JCrew and Janie & Jack.
The area where we're moving this summer is currently under a blizzard advisory. Thrill. It's super rare--I think we had one tiny snow when we lived there last--so I hope it's getting it out of its system this winter!

Snowing here. MH is out getting bagels. I really wanted to exchange my purse I got for Christmas but in between the snow and MH being sick, it looks like we will end up at home today.
kim22 - When did your big one start hockey? Col is at his first skating lesson today (cannot wait to hear about it!) but I don't have a clue when they actually transition. He is OBSESSED though.
Morning! It looks like a snow globe here, so our afternoon plans to visit my brother are probably off.
I went to running group and DH took the boys to Colin's first ice skating lesson. I have to check back in with him about swimming. He could do both at the same time if we plan it right, but it's his choice. I just want to keep him as active as possible over the winter. My anxiety about his size is flaring up again, partly because Chase was about 4lbs lighter than Col at 9 months, and he's a chub in his own right. Plus Colin has suddenly become more into screen time. Thankfully gymnastics starts back up this week and soccer should start again in another few weeks. He is fine when he's busy but all he wants to do is eat when he's got downtime. I don't love that my 3 year old already eats out of boredom.

He did skating lessons at 6, clinics at 7, then a house league team at 8 (no try-outs, all games in the same rink.) This year is his first year on a travel team. Travel teams use birth year. A rink near us has Tot Hockey for 3 and 4 year olds. T is going to start learn to play with our club probably next weekend. He was supppse to start tomorrow but now DS has a game at another rink the same time and he really wants to be there with T (they always have a few older kids at this program so the new kids basically each have someone to help them.) If he does well at learn to play, I will put him in Tot Hockey in the fall if it works in our schedule (different rink then DS plays for.) The kids on DS1's team who started at 4 are amazing.
Jealous of everyone with kids in extra-curriculars. We don't have many for his age here, but M could have started indoor soccer this year and our schedules don't work with theirs. I need to find a job with day time hours. I know he would love it. Or they need to make a schedule that includes weekends. I know M would love it and do great.
lahdeedah88 - We're lucky because daycare offers gymnastics and soccer. Swimming is pretty rinky dink - it's taught by high schoolers in the pool at their school. I don't think he learns anything except not to be totally scared of the water. And now skating is at a sportsplex a town away. DH saught that out a good year ago when he first became obsessed with hockey. This is the first session he's been old enough to join.
kim22 I was going to ask you the same question. There is a sports plex opening this month focused on ice rinks and pools. I really want E to learn to skate but not sure about hockey. I worry about the injury rate with hockey and soccer and football so I will let him play now but not after he is school age
When I got certified as a gymnastic's coach, we were told little league baseball leads for most catastrophic injuries (we play that too). Not sure this is still the case with the decrease in popularity of baseball. DS is squirt level in hockey and will be for 1 more year (kids born 2006-2007). They can't check each other until the next level up so it's not too scary yet.
Breaking News: my kid peed in the bathroom. Not exactly in the toilet but it's the closest he's come. Last night I was sorting basketball jerseys for DS1's team (yup we play that too.) T wanted one and DH told him when he is potty trained he gets one. Today he went all alone then was yelling he needs his jersey.

Don't be jealous, enjoy being able to have friends who are not your kid's teammates parents and making plans without having to check your Sports Engine app. You will get there one day. I love our crazy life but sometimes I miss free time.
I just realized that Col is out of nighttime pullups. Really DH should have noticed last night. So I felt a little less bad about sending him out into the snow to pick some more up.
Hey ladies! Quiet morning at my house. The drywall guy stopped by and took 5 mins to sand the ceiling and now it's done! On to the paint picking! Now I'm on my way to work for rest of the day.
nam2013 fever blisters suck so bad, I feel your pain. I get them when I've been sick or really stressed. I always ice it when I start to feel one, then if a blister develops I pop it and put alcohol or acetone on it. Makes it scab faster and heal quicker.
We took Layla sledding this morning, she had a blast! I was sooooo cold though!
Layla and Tim are napping now. I should probably be doing something, but I've decided to relax. We are doing a double date with my sister and BIL tonight. Should be fun!

Baseball leads for injury?? I would not have thought that at all. I always assumed football was the most dangerous.
I totally forgot that I have to train someone at work today. The good news is that she's just training so she can help cover so she knows the basics and I get a little extra on my paycheck, the bad is that I can't slack off.

Hey everyone. Man it was a long day. We too had some snow, albeit a very light dusting. B's ballet class was cancelled, so we pretty much were inside playing all day. Mh is going out w some guy friends tonight so I'm going to curl up and watch Me Before You, which I haven't seen (but read the book).
Tomorrow C has his very first gymnastics class. I'm excited for him.
I'm gonna keep inviting the 'inactive' FitBit people to the challenges until it annoys you guys enough to start wearing it again 😉
LOL. I saw your invite and was like- I'm surprised she hasn't stopped inviting me by now😂. I need to find my charger and do better this week. I'll join in if I do charge it:)

Not sure if you invited me but my Fitbit broke. So then I bought an Apple Watch, but now I miss my fitbit. I superglued the back back onto my Fitbit but I don't want to wear 2 watches. I'm thinking of cutting the bands off and keeping it in my pockets.
I wear mine on my ankle trtlcrzy... I just have the flex 2 though so it's small.
I tried that and it's too small to fit my ankle. Well, it buckles but is super uncomfortable. Maybe I'll get a new one someday. I have mobile track set up but it looks like it isn't syncing to the challenge for some reason
