Do you also know what I hate?! Drawstrings on kid stuff that don't actually do anything. I'm trying to find a bathing suit of my 4 year old. 4t is way too big for his tiny waist/bum so I moved down to a 3t. Still too big! Oh, but there's drawstrings! But guess what? They don't actually pull to make it tighter, they are just for show. Why why why. So yah, in any case need to return them now and look for one with a real drawstring or at least a tighter elastic.
OMG yes. You pull and nothing happens. What is it even there for, then?
T & P to your friend blueskiessmiling. I hope her babies stay put a little while longer!
Eta: fix tag
I used to design kids clothes and the reason most drawstrings are non functional is that at the longest point each end can be no longer then 3" when cinched. So you can't do much with that. We usually just tacked them instead of making them functional. The reason behind this law would terrify you but just be thankful it's there. Before the law many kids were getting hurt or worse.

Well, here goes nothing. I'm shaking so much and trying not to panic. I did manage to drag myself to the car and drove to the dentists office on my own though.
T&ps blueskiessmiling- just saw the update, I'm glad things are looking up.
musicfrk2002 I'm sorry about the dentist! I have to go too. I haven't gone in way too long.
Eta: I meant to say stuff... I'm headed home on the train& need to make sure I go to starbucks because it's double stars day. I blame this board for my obsession with stars.
I'm very congested & worried to blow my nose because I don't want to burst an ear drum like I did in June. I guess I should be happy that it took me until January to get sick this school year. That's definitely a record, but I still hate it.
My stepbet officially started today, I still have 4000+ steps to go. Wish me luck!
musicfrk2002, tooth pain is the worst. Just keep telling yourself it will be better after. Any chance you can be sedated for the procedure? I found root canals to be less terrible than I anticipated...if that's any kind of consolation.

Yeah, my root canal was easier than my cavity fillings.

jessila, they want to check with my cardiologist first. They are talking about nitrous and an anti-anxiety med. My gag reflex is also an issue, but when I had my wisdom teeth out my reflex went away once I was numb.

Good to hear that root canals aren't too horrible erbear.
@michyme124 I was on iv sedation for my wisdom teeth. I remember two things: one, the Meds didn't make me loopy and I was pissed about it; and two, I woke up at one point during it while they were drilling and was just like 'oh, that's cool'

I'm not doing so well at being "back"! I put tapatalk on my new tablet because I hate doing it on the phone, but I just haven't had much tablet time. And I'm out of the habit!
Oscars mommy preference peeked today. He pushed DH's hand off of my shoulder and later when DH asked "want to sit on my lap?" He said "no!" and moved closer to me. Oh my! I feel bad because he's always been so close with DH too but I guess this is what phase were in.
budders I'm sorry, I was going to send you a reminder for the stepbet but I didn't want you to feel forced into it. I have another friend running one I can get the link for that one if you want. Or you can see if you can still sign up for mine?
