Im awake and feel worse today. I am beginning to think this may be strep. My H says he cant see any inflammation in my throat but I feel like a cat clawed it.
I am coughing a little and not all that congested so that adds to my suspicion.
Luckily my H is on the evening shift so I can drive into town to the walk in clinic.
I just hate going and finding out it is viral. Feels like a waste of everyones time. At least being pregnant gives me an excuse to see a doctor sooner than usual.
DD has an ear infection and woke up at 5:30am. My H didn't make enough coffee so I've barely had 1 cup. Stopping for coffee after I drop DD off at daycare. Hopeful that my day gets better. 😜
MH is supposed to leave for Boston today for another interview. The flight is already cancelled. People need to re-evaluate this internship interview shit in January.

DS only woke up once last night and I didn't fall asleep in his bed while waiting for him to go back to sleep! DH and I both feel like we slept so much better! The asshole that works for me is out meeting with clients until Friday so work will be a little more pleasant to be at. Which is good since I need to prep for an overnight trip next week and he does nothing but distract me because after 30+ years of selling this kind of insurance and 4 years of selling this kind of insurance 90% of the time, he still has questions. Its rainy here for the next couple of days, which isn't good since I need to go out and take pictures of a property and I really don't want to do it in this shit.
I cannot decide if I should go to the clinic or give it another day. If I feel worse tomorrow I will be mad at myself for not going today. If it turns out to just be viral then I will be annoyed that I wasted my/their time.
Selfishly I just want to go so I can get Timmies for breakfast.
We woke up to our new (to us) washer leaking everywhere. Woohoo. My wife is super stressed, we have had a string of things break or have issues. Luckily we have stayed on top of them and DIY fixes but it is getting stressful. She managed to fix it just now but we are dealing with the water.
Dd usually has some discharge from her eyes when she gets a cold. So we had to take her to the pedi to get a note it wasn't pink eye. Annoying, but i get it.
She was up at 530 when mh left for work. Then i found a leak under the sink. So i treated myself to dunkin coffee and 2 donuts.
I'm waiting at the pharmacy for an antibiotic. It's rainy and blah here today. I am going to work from home in my jams though, just as soon as I finish all my errands.
I hope everyone who isn't feeling well, feels better!
Drove into town and my usual walk in is closed due to inclimate weather. Shit. So i go to the other one and they are closed as well. Wtf?! Its snowing and shitty out but it is not that bad. Just one of those days you need to drive a bit slower.
Must be nice! My H will probably still make his hour+ commute in to work today. I mean, c'mon... This is Canada... We have had so many mild winters in the last 5+ years that I think people have forgotten how to Canuck.
obi, +1 to the hating going to a doctor to find out it is viral >< On the other hand, they might have ideas to help you get past it more quickly? Hope you feel better later today!
callmeKD, Oh no Ear infections suck What type of coffee are you stopping for? I'm pleasantly surprised that the hospital's coffee isn't too bad
ladytiffany24, Orange juice and more orange juice? I know they proved that vitamin C isn't a cure for the cold, but I'm pretty sure it still helps your immune system out
@priss08,
meggypoo1, I remember this! My ex got stuck in a snow storm in Denver because of that type of silly interview schedule! Hope things settle down on flight cancellations.
amacbaby, .. you just reminded me of one of the positives of being stuck living in an apartment.. someone else fixes that stuff! Yuck! I hope the stress level comes down
jnow, Yay for the dunkin? Seems like after seeing that type of discharge from a particular child on one or more occasions and it not being pink eye.. they'd calm down ><
corinne, ~hugs~ I can commiserate. I just keep holding on to the idea that "This too shall pass."
glb30, .. but but.. rain is awesome! Okay maybe I might be a bit on the side of rain with where I live and how much we need in the next year or so to not be in a drought yay for jammies at home
Day six.. today is definitely better.. but that is because my hubby came here instead of going home to the kids last night and we had a little date night He curled up in bed with me and we watched a tv show on Netflix on the laptop while snacking on PB Bites.
This little boy is SUPER active all night long. It was annoying enough at home.. but now he won't stay on the monitor for the nurses. They try so hard to let me sleep, but have to come in and adjust it with him doing gymnastics to the best of his ability. It's one of those things... how awesome that he is soo active and doing so well... darn child is stealing my sleep before he even makes his appearance! ~laugh~
Ooh! I get an ultrasound on Saturday, and since my doctor has to be at the hospital anyways, she's going to do it while my DH is visiting
thanks missi! Owning definitely sucks when it comes to fixing all this stuff but hopefully things settle down now. I hope you are able to get some decent sleep in the next couple weeks before baby shows up!

Work is busy today and I'm feeling really behind. I have my workout class tonight and then I need to really stretch well after because I hurt all over right now. DH got me a foam roller so I can see if that will help.

I finished painting the dresser at lunch! I'm hoping to buy the hardware for the drawers tomorrow and then it will be finished. After that its time to wash clothes and see where we stand on that.
I'm sorry mosdub. What a pain. I hope you pass the 3 hour.
Speaking of, I'm STILL waiting for my 3 hour results. It's been almost a week. I'm hoping no news means good news in this situation.
A week?! I would assume no news is good news. Could you call and ask?
Tomorrow will be a week. I figure I'll give it until then and then will call and check. Seems like everyone here got their results in about a day so I'm not sure what the hold up is!
We are expecting 100+km/hr winds tonight. Praying there are no power outages and my H is safe on his drive home at midnight. I think that is around the time we are to expect the worst of it. Ugh.

It is definitely not a diagnosis they take lightly or would wait on. Hopefully you're in the clear! Blood sugar is a very simple lab test. There is zero reason for it to take more than 24hrs, barring some kind of huge backlog. Fx for you anyway!
obi, we had our first big snowfall since we moved here in summer 2015 yesterday. Pretty sure we got more in 12 hours than in 2 years. People totally forgot how to drive on ice but this is Canada so nothing shuts down unless the snowplows can't get through.
I think we're finally well enough to start going out again! I haven't been to play group or coffee since before Christmas and I'm dying to go. It's my sanity saver since I stay at home, more than one day without going somewhere makes me feel stir crazy so this past week and a half has been rough.
