1. DD1 is seriously exhausting. Her behavior is all over the place and she needs constant parenting. I feel like I can't even enjoy our time together and it makes me so sad. She's being rude & fresh to anyone that watched her while I was in the hospital including my mom & BFF. I want my sweet girl back. 😢
2. Newborns are easy compared to toddlers.
3. I've already lost 30lbs since having DD2...unfortunately I have about 50 more to go before I'm near a weight I feel comfortable with.
How's your cakes going down becole? Happy Birthday
They were so freaking good! I ate two! DS wanted a cupcake but wasn't eating his veggies. H kept saying "but you have to have a balanced diet of veggies and fruit and treats." DS says "but I don't want a balanced diet." 😹
Oh and I had a glass of wine and a massage from H with no expectation of sex. Kinda the perfect day.
1. I'm getting excited thinking about weaning in the next few months. I know I should be sad, but there have only been 7 out of the last 40 something months where I wasn't pregnant or breastfeeding. I'm tired and want my body back.
2. Can you hire a night nurse for a 9 month old? The last two nights A has slept in my bed because that's the only way she would sleep. Hopefully, she gets it together soon.
3. I think I'm feeling an 8 year itch with my job. Reading about everybody's trips and knowing I only get one week of vacation that has to be used to see family isn't helping either.
I'm sorry but 1 week vacation after 8 years of service is disgusting.

1. Was home with dd today because she is sick (seems like just a yucky cold except she has a fever too) and had tons I should've done but was so tired I napped with her (and it was a much longer than usual nap) 2. Dh is taking care of her tomorrow ... Which is good but I'm still a little afraid. 3. Chewable ibuprofen for toddlers is an absolute lifesaver!
1. It's so hard finding childcare for an infant on a teacher's schedule. I get why they want year round pay but we can't pay for a summer of 2 kids not going there.
2. I'm going to have my last observation of the year this week! Should lead to tenure starting next year!! Yay for money toward retirement and less fear of losing my job when expressing concerns.
3. DH has to find a better job. $20/hr and no benefits or PTO after going to law school is killing us. I know he's tired of trying and being denied but something has to give.
You're absolutely right emmagk. I think I've put up with it because of the few perks I do have, but the final straw was her telling me what week I could take the vacation this year. My sister has been helping us out while she goes to back to school and we took our week at the same time last year. Nobody was there to cover for the prior 6 years when I was on vacation so it doesn't make sense and it is a slap in the face. I don't see it changing springbeduk.

I'm taking notes from you. This sounds like the perfect birthday!!

That's really awful. I'd be looking for a new job asap, they clearly don't value you as an employee.
lecky11, I don't know how you survive with only one week. DH only has one week but he's only been there for a year. At two years, he goes up to 2 weeks, which is still not enough IMO. I've never heard of law firm with such little PTO. I agree that you should start looking for a new job.
I know. I have actually applied for a few things in the past few weeks. It didn't really bother me much before I had kids and I chalked a lot of things up to them being attorneys and quirky, but I just don't feel like putting up with the bullshit anymore.
