I didn't realize there was a press conference. I've been furiously cleaning.
Smart or bad American? 🤔
Same here... Cleaning like crazy. I missed the whole thing. We did watch the Farewell Speech last night as a family. AG fell asleep while we were watching it.
britta I'm late to the game, but I'm team bring them to daycare especially if you already have to pay for it. I mean 99.4 % of the reason I started DD in preschool is for a break for my sanity. Hugs to everyone with shitty sleep. Sleep disruption and deprivation is just so so hard to deal with and makes everything else 1000% harder. We did some errands this am. Then I took LO to a lactation consultant because she's been losing the seal and taking down lots of air and has a tongue tie. She's still so gassy and refluxy. But nothing was bad enough to do anything about it, so onward we go. I didn't watch the farewell speech or the news conference. Bad American. DDs second day of preschool is tomorrow and I'm hoping hoping hoping it goes just as smoothly if not better. Someday I will open tapatalk and post a pic. Some day.
DD has a low grade fever (99.8) but is acting totally fine. Our daycare provider had the stomach bug over the weekend, so I hope it has nothing to do with them at.

Hope it's nothing. DS1 started in with cold symptoms yesterday and, although he's playing fine, sounds and looks worse today. There was also a sign on DS2's classroom door today that, as of the 10th, there have been 2 cases of RSV in his class. I'm having flashbacks to DS1's struggle with it and hoping and praying that 2.0 is spared.
I'm using the 27mm. I was doing halfway cranked but thought maybe it wasn't strong enough to get theletdown. I'm going to buy pumpinpals
New pump? Maybe something is wrong with your pump? Did the lactation consultant give any advice at all with the pumping stuff?
It's a new pump. I had the same issue with my first of not getting let downs easy. Maybe a low supply issue? It's weird because I've never been able to pump successfully enough milk for baby but if I just breastfeed, both gain easily and well.

Can you get a hospital grade pump? Maybe via insurance with a prescription?

I got the Medela through insurance so I'm not eligible for anything else.
I may rent a hospital pump for a month and see if it makes a difference.

Ugh. DS has been super fussy today and doesn't seem satisfied after feeds. I've given him a few extra ounces from my very small freezer stash and he's sucking it down. I'm chugging water like it's my job. I hope it's just a temporary thing.
Blah DDs fever is up to 100.4* but she is acting totally fine. I hate fevers in babies.
How is she dressed? Last night, DS2 looked flushed and felt kinda warm, but was acting totally fine. I checked him and his temp was 100*. Took his pants and socks off and it came down to 98 something.
DS2 had kind of a weird evening with eating. He finished about half a bottle before he left daycare at 4:30, then by 6 he was super fussy and acting starved. I gave him a bath and fed him and then he sat contently while I did bedtime with DS1. Fed him again at 8:45 but, as per usual, he ate only 2.5oz and passed out. Like did not even stir when I moved him to his bed. Now he's being all restless and making noise in his crib. Make up your mind dude, mom needs to either feed you or go to sleep!

Fleece sleeper. Maybe that's all it is... she has been super happy tonight, smiling and laughing at me. She has also been drooling and chewing her hand, so maybe teeth? I don't know. I am going to hold off on Tylenol since she fell asleep with no issue. I do wish I had gotten to feed her one more time before she fell asleep. Oh well...

becole have you tried a manual pump? You might have better luck with it. When I was pumping I got a letdown faster with a manual than with my double electric.
I've only used the manual on the side baby doesn't eat after he gets the letdown. I've not tried to get a letdown with the manual.
