.. I spent the day helping my poor mother navigate my area to get the older girls to their activities. My poor mom She succeeded though

Past that, I was also fighting to find a way to post my bump picture! I'm actually afraid to even try now >.> I had to upload it to photobucket from my phone directly.. then email myself the link. This hospital has photobucket, onedrive, shutterfly.. all blocked ><

I think it's a lot of pregnancy discomfort, though. Lumbering around all day and night in this body that's not quite my own is taxing enough, let alone being a human jungle gym. It's hard.

This is where I'm at. Plus, my son want to play outside and such and I can't cause I have to spend time laying down. *sigh* Just a few more weeks then I can baby wear and go back to somewhat normal.

Is it normal to not have an ultrasound after the 20 week? When does the growth scan happen usually? I have another appointment at 32 weeks but they said it would just be a check up, no ultrasound

I'm thinking it's different for everyone. Last Dr didn't do any ultrasounds after the A/S. This Dr does a growth scan in the third tri.

This is provider-specific. My office does ultrasounds every time the wind shifts, I feel like. They do a global service for insurance billing so I think it's just a perk.

Random question, aren't the measurements from a growth scan iffy anyway? Off by up to a pound and a half either way?

The lower the baby, the harder to measure the head (assuming head down), which can throw off the scan. If they can still get a good angle on the head, it's pretty accurate. Skill of the tech plays a part, too.

+1 to what @kristhrgirl said regarding measurements. Your question got me curious so I looked up some studies and it looks like around 75% of scans will be within 10% accuracy. There will always be people on the ends of the spectrum of course but most are close enough to be useful in detecting (an increased risk) for problems (too big or too small)

Interestingly enough, they will still do at least one more ultrasound on me despite constant monitoring... but after 30 weeks, they stop doing cervical length checks.

MFM and OB science is constantly changing. My doctor and her partner know how curious I am about this stuff and tell me about the newest studies when they visit me For example.. if in a scenario I hope doesn't happen, any of you join me in having an early baby, recent studies have shown that a round of steroid shots in you with the cause being preterm labor before 36 weeks is still beneficial to the baby's lungs and in helping thwart other preterm baby issues.
Until just recently, they thought that steroids were only truely beneficial to very early preterms.

The tech doing my US said it can be off going either direction.
And after the AS I only had another US because my OB thought Clara was head down.
