Right after I posted that my sister texted us that he crashed. They had to do compressions and reintubate him. He's doing ok now, but they are doing an X-ray to check things I guess.
So on/off the baby O topic. I've been sporadically watching the story of another baby, he's in Minnesota and his page was showing up in my newsfeed. He had a heart transplant I think. He was doing so well and was about to be discharged, like mom went home for a weekend and got him a bedroom ready and all kinds of stuff at home. And then he went way down hill suddenly. Ugh, I can't even imagine being on the high they were on to bring him home and it suddenly slip away from them.

I literally can't imagine. I hear of all these things and feel so awful and lame for complaining about my kids being "sick". We are so lucky. 😪😪😪
Man. I've always hated driving in bad weather, but it is so much scarier now with a child too. After visiting the library, he started to fade in the car so I kept driving a while to get him a little nap. Roads were fine when we left. Within ten minutes, of course right when we hit a bigger traffic area, suddenly there's black ice, everywhere. The temp must have dipped just enough. It was an ice rink the whole way home, at rush hour. We almost skid twice. Eek.
Mmm pancakes. I need to start working out. I hate doing videos but it's way too cold to be outside, so I'll have to suck it up.
I was supposed to watch the new baby for a few hours this morning, but we rescheduled. Last night I got the same rash/weals from the night before. I let her know that I was fairly certain it was some allergy and not viral, but left it up to her. She kept him home. Has anyone ever heard of adult onset nut allergy? I had cashews before it happened Monday night and peanut butter last night. They are different allergy groups though, so it'd be crazy to get both all of a sudden. My only other guess is that it's related to my BCP. I take it in the evening, which is when it's been happening. Something about my hormones as the pill leaves my body? I don't know.
Late to this, but I'm allergic to tree nuts and peanuts. The tree but allergy appeared about 8 years ago, and the peanut allergy appeared rather suddenly 2 years ago. Like I had peanut butter one day and was fine, then had it again a week later and definitely was not.
Since I worked on Monday I'm all screwed up on my days. I keep thinking it's a day ahead of what it really is. So I'm not thrilled that tomorrow is only Thursday and I have to work. But the good news is I think I'm going out of town shopping on Friday to make up for last weekend. My sister has the day off so I think we are going to go together.

dreadpiratebuttercup, that's crazy. I feel like that's what has happened to me! How did your reactions start?
It happened again tonight. As I was telling H I thought it was my BCP, I recalled that I grabbed PB crackers on my way out the door a few hours earlier. I didn't even think about it. So, I'm feeling pretty certain there's a connection. I had peanut butter over Christmas with no problems!

I had eaten peanut butter and I got extremely sick, like my system was purging it. I thought it was food poisoning or something, but then it happened again from another source and my doctor confirmed through allergy testing.
I have an epipen since it was a systemic reaction. I'm also still able to be around peanuts, just can't ingest them.
