judyblume14 so sorry about your scare on the road and with the baby. Big hugs. Enjoy your massage, I think that's a great idea!
tex sorry for the slow work day, that is the worst when you don't want to be there.
pibblemom I agree with carrots: always change poop (and clothes at a lot of spit up because of the smell). Pee can wait. I love your dog! Too cute.
rinny sorry the MW was so rude. There is such a fine line between them feeling like you are overreacting and all the stories where mom just felt 'off' and something was seriously wrong. I'm sorry you missed your dinner but I'm glad you and baby are okay.
Anyone use a milk saver while nursing? I never had one with DD and I leaked a lot. This time around I got one and figured it wouldn't hurt to try.
Well I just used it for the first time and I'm a complete believer now. There must have been like .75oz in it! Obviously when supply regulates the leaking will change, but for now I'm pretty psyched to even just get a few oz up on my bottle/freezer stash!

It's a Daniel Tiger morning here. I'm worried DS is coming down with a cold because he's been sleeping a ton. He's a good sleeper but two days ago he took a four hour nap and then slept all night. This morning he wasn't up until 8! That has... never happened.
Leaving for brunch with a friend in a minute and hoping to do some baby returns and shopping on my way home. There's a break in the rain so I'm not afraid to be driving. Some of the creeks are flooding bad though, so I'll have to pick my route carefully.
They are playing Adele at the nail salon. Totally cool if I start singing along, right? I just can't help myself. Adele makes me feel like I can sign (I cannot).
ellabee I was a huge leaker so I'm interested! I actually had a leak last night. How comfy was it? Ease of use when juggling a baby? Give us your full review!
ellabee wow that's awesome! Definitely looking into them now.
silvermelody I think that's the part that annoyed me the most - this all started from a non-urgent medical question to the portal asking if there was anything I could do to feel better, it was them pushing me more than me asking for extra care. Also, brunch sounds amazing!
Baby boy is clawing at my cervix or something because I keep getting these weird sensations down there. I know they aren't contractions, but they are annoying as fuck.

Totally forgot today was cleaning day! Just got home from errands and the cleaning ladies are just leaving. Clean house before baby! It's the little things.
ellabee that's awesome! I ended up ordering one from a different brand that was only $10 and obviously have yet to try it out. Good to know that one works in case mine's a dud.

I noticed everyone was still in Tuesday. My OCD won't let that happen. Sorry guys.
tex, that was really nice of your supervisor to offer to help!
MissDemeanor, newbie mom question, but we were told if newborn baby poops in their sleep, don't wake them up to change them. They'll be up in a few hours anyhow. Was he back asleep already and could you have done that?
I hope everyone else gets a nap in today that needs one. Its a beautiful day here, almost 50 degrees. I have my weekly and then I HAVE to take these dogs up to my moms to run while its nice out because they are driving me nuts with canine cabin fever.
I'm by no means an expert, but I don't think I'd follow that advice, especially if BF since the poops are more watery. I feel like the first month of DS life was poop blow outs and it would be up his back, etc. Also, he did get a diaper rash at around 3 weeks old and that was with immediate changing of diaper after a poop.
I'm also team change poop immediately. F doesn't wake up when I change him anyway. I don't like to mess around with diaper rash though.
I think he has it in for me. Fed him. Changed him. Laid him down. Got all my crap together, laid down for a nap. And yep, pooped again. At least he's consistent.
I'm having a lot of trouble sleeping even though I'm exhausted. In my head it feels like the second I fall asleep F will just wake up anyway, so I can't relax at all.

@orangcrush, I have to be there at 9:30. Im hoping it will. be soon after that. They couldn't give me an exact time.
I'm finishing packing up and have a total newbie question: do I need to pack anything other than going home outfit for baby? I remember baby was clothed by hospital last time. Do I assume it's the same? Did anyone take multiple outfits?

rinny, She sounds like she needs a swift kick in the ass by HR. I hope you file a complaint about her. I'm pissed for you.
ellabee, I really want to get some of those milk savers! I'm currently using a little cup to catch my leaking and to hand express into before transferring it into storage bags.
heybulldog56, We got a bunch of outfits as gifts while at the hospital so we used a couple which is never something we did with DS1. But our room was kept so warm we could've just kept W wrapped in a blanket and been fine. We took nothing more than one outfit and a warm blanket for going home and didn't need anything else.

DS1 is so cute. My mom woke me up to nurse W and DS1 came in with a bunch of fake food and drinks for us to have "a date". It was adorable. It was even cute when he kept force feeding me my banana, albeit annoying.
heybulldog56 DS1 was in whatever the NICU had for clothes last time. I am packing some onesies for while we are there and a going home outfit.
Apparently my supervisor picked the 17th as her date before I found out my induction was gonna be scheduled for that day. She hasn't shut up about it. As much as I don't want to be in labor for 18 hours again, I kinda want the baby to come out after midnight the next day just so she'll CTFD.

heybulldog56 I packed a footed sleeper, leggings, and a going home outfit. Last time DD wore the hospital clothes (just a long sleeve shirt/diaper/blanket) but being winter I wanted a few more options.

Pretty much this. Also, with having a c section this time, I'll be there 3-4 days and it just seems like a long time to be sitting in those boring long sleeve shirts. I'm just a little excited for girl clothes though
DS had a blowout in his going home outfit, so I'd pack a back up, just in case!
