Love tits for sympathy support, ladies
H made a big fucking deal about checking the mamaroo for the serial and date numbers so I could register it. Like, WTF. Just get up and check. FFS. I even called him an ass out loud with my parents right there. He was probably pissed but whatever. He sulked through dinner, even.
I'm currently rocking with a heating pad pressed against my boobs. They randomly got super engorged and painful which is something I keep forgetting they will do, I guess. That said, it made for a successful hand expression session and bumped up my milk catch to 4oz from 2.5oz from one boob. I think I'm going to start adding pumping sessions next week instead of just hand expressing. Mostly for convenience. As of right now, I have 13oz of BM in the freezer I'm pretty excited because I started trying to save it with DS1 way too late and never managed to get much of a stash going before we had to start supplementing with formula.
heybulldog56, MH was just being a little whiny bitch. I have no sympathy for him "not wanting to do" something when I'm 9 months pregnant and still get out of bed every day.
lakegirl, ummm, why? Why would anything be unwrapped?
tex, solidarity on the pubic bone. Mine feels shattered 😩
silvermelody, I'm so sorry your son is still sick I hope he feels better and you don't catch whatever it is he's got.

Tap talk is just not working day 3. It's so hard to get to my lap top. I felt tired and dizzy today. I spoke with my LC she recommends renting a medela symphony pump for a month to see if it helps my production. So I will probably do that. E is at the point where she will not fall asleep or stay asleep if you are not holding her. H & I are exhausted. Tell me that is normal and it will get better?

I wish people would stop visiting me
My boobs are super super engorged too thelittleredm Kelly mom says ice and ibuprofen. LO has been nursing like crazy today. I'm not sure how much he's getting though. Surprisingly there's still no leaking

Sadly this is normal for some babies. I could never put DS1 down.
Swaddling can help. Does she like a swing or bouncer?

MissDemeanor, I'm so jealous you haven't had any leaking. So, so jealous. I've been alternating heat and ice. Is that my baby I hear waking up finally? Thank god.

This was my problem with DS1, too. It does, eventually, get better. For us, we spent most of the first year in that stage. In fact, I think he'd turned one before I could finally put him down for naps.

Mine just insisted on being fed again. I've basically fed him 4 the last 4 hours. I thought he was finally about to sleep. I kind of want to cry.
I'm sure the leaking will come. 90% of my pictures with small DS1 have me with milk stains on my shirt.

R is almost 3 and still doesn't sleep alone.
So far F actually likes the swing. It's a whole new world. I can occasionally pee and eat alone.

carrots, I am so glad nursing is going well! I literally logged on to share the same. High five!
B is officially off the IV and on the boob exclusively! He has a pretty short tongue so the LC suggested I try a nipple shield. I just tried it for the first time and, wow, it made a huge difference. He latched on and stayed on both boobs without once getting frustrated. He was sucking away the whole time too! Sorry for the AW but I am so happy. Oh and I'm pretty high on my painkillers right now...they tend to make me babble away like a toddler.

After cleaning up from DS being sick my stomach was pretty queasy so I didn't eat one of my regular snacks. And gave myself another hypoglycemic attack.
I'm so over this. Tuesday can't get here fast enough.
I needed a nipple shield with DS but it was a mixed blessing. My LC thinks it may have contributed to my supply issues but those were also related to my PCOS. It was also a pain to need that thing every session. But my left side is super flat so we might need it again.

silvermelody, sorry you had such a shitty day. Tuesday will be here before you know it.
My left side is flat also. My right side's not much better. That and his short tongue had me nervous. I hope I don't need to use it forever but I'm glad these stupid little things exist!

Back to bed I go. Best wishes for you & baby bulldog! We weaned from the shield around six weeks I think, and I nursed him until 25 months. It does get easier
ellabee, Thats crappy, I hate it when daddy messes with the routine and drops the meltdown on me. heybulldog56, geees I'd have bolted the doors and hid. Do not want people turning up at 9 in any situation *love my bed* lakegirl, I'd have to wrap the present, wheres the fun in not wrapping it. Weird. silvermelody, Hope DS is better soon. And OH NO to the slippers getting hit. thelittleredm, Congrats on getting a stash started. peaseblossom55, I think we held DS for the 1st 8 weeks. Then we had a wonderful time where he was happy to sleep on his own, we also co slept and now at 2.5 he's pretty good sleeping through in his cot. MissDemeanor, I remember bad gas with my 1st, our tummies sang to each other like whales

She does get swaddled and usually loves what we put her in we tried the swing the bouncer and the mamaroo. Luckily I just woke up from sleep and she is sleeping in her swing.

Something I tried with the nipple shield was to try to take it off mid feed after I was less engorged to make it easier for them to latch on. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't, I eventually weaned off it though.
