We have a click tight so I'll ask my husband. I have to say I like the car seat in general, but I cannot seem to loosen the straps for some reason, and I also don't like the big rubbery pieces on the straps, I feel like they get in the way when I go to buckle him in.
I can't loosen the straps either!! Why!? I like the rubbery pieces though.
The button for loosening is pretty far in. I took off the shoulder pads, made it a lot easier to tighten and I am just carefully the straps aren't pinching her neck. I'll put them back once she is a little bigger.

I thought maybe we should do a recap of the seats. If you have made the switch if you could please tell what seat you have and give a quick recap on what you think I would so appreciate it!!

I got the Britax marathon. It takes up a ton of room in the car but is super easy to install. I think I am going to have to call the company because one of the lower buckles keeps sticking when I try and get her out. I think this is just a bad part not necessarily a bad seat

We went with the Graco 4Ever. So far I like it. It was one of the only ones that would fit in the back seat of my Tuscon, so I like that there is space to not have to move the front seats up far to fit them in. I'm still getting used to the straps. My Chicco infant seat straps were a lot easier to maneuver, but I also realize that is partially because we had worn them in.
Our only other short seat option was the Nextfit, but someone's review here said they didn't like it as much, and I read some reviews about the high sides being difficult to maneuver so it made me nervous.
We've got a peg perego and a nextfit for DS. I love the peg. Easy to install. Easy to buckle him up. It's been a solid seat for us. The nextfit is in the hubs's car and so it gets less use. We have a difficult time tightening the straps, though it is getting easier. It's also easy to install and all that, but the straps have been a bear.
jnnfrrose6 How do you feel about the Nextfit sides?
When it was in the s60, they were a little bit of an obstacle for getting him in and out, but not enough to really stand out as a problem with the seat. Now that it's in the xc70 its not a problem at all. I do like how easy it is to adjust the height (and noticed that if we were having trouble with the straps, if I raise the back/head rest up a notch or 2 it makes the straps easier to tighten).

Thanks! The Tucson also has small door areas, so hearing you say that makes me feel a little better for splitting on the 4Ever. I really wanted to go with the Nextfit, though. I didn't realize until after I installed the 4Ever that the height adjusting and harness threading is similar to the Chicco, so at least I didn't lose that feature!
I finally made a commitment and purchased a convertible Graco clone. I love it! We moved the bucket into dh's car since it is more of a secondary/weekend car. We are going to wait since the limits on the bucket are around 30 pounds, and will probably get a Graco nautilus for that car.
Don't forget that the bucket seats have a height maximum in addition to weight. My Graco snug ride 30 has a height maximum of like 30" which the twins are almost at. Make sure and check your manual. I think the seats are kinda misleading. My ds1 is 3 and just reached 35 lb. his infant seat had a 35 lb max and like 32 " max. He obviously reached the height max years before the weight max.
