Morning! I'm not planning to do much today. Sounds like my sister and nephew may come over to hang for a bit. This evening I am going to my friend's house because she is having her lularoe launch open house.
I took the kids to a play café this morning. It's an indoor playground for kids, and has a little cafe for parents to have a snack/coffee while watching their kids.
They loved it. So much that they both went down for naps right when we got home. Score!

I was born on a Friday the 13th so I always try to think it's a lucky day for me.
DS is napping then we're heading out to his echo. He's been whiny and clingy so far today so I'm not optimistic but maybe he'll be in a better mood after his nap concludes.

We've got a quiet day here. X thought 6am was an appropriate wake up time (it wasn't). Going to Walmart for a new Brita filter and a sympathy card. Exciting day here!
Last night I ate no nuts and I had no hives. I'm glad to seem to have narrowed down the cause, but I'm super bummed about it. RIP Reeses, RIP Peanut Butter and Chocolate anything. I loved you so.

Make an appointment with an allergist to see what extent the reactions reach. Just to be safe

Well I went to physio with Dh. Our physio is a good friend of mine so I played with her little guy (16 mos) while they did their treatment. We got home and picked up Ryan who didn't sleep or eat at daycare (but did drink 8 ounces) so he went right down for a nap. I think it was a long week for him and he has his 4th bottom tooth coming through. Poor buddy.

Just peanuts or all nuts?
I'll have to go to an allergist for real testing. It started with cashews, but who knows if it was the cashews or cross contamination. The other two reactions were from peanut butter. I've had almonds in the past week, but now I'm scared to try them again. Although they're different allergens, so who knows.
I hate nuts, I'll take your nut allergy rivers and roads,! When I was in college I became randomly lactose intolerant(milk is my favorite! I could drink it 3943204x a day)... and it went away in 2 years. Bodies are weird!

You can have my nut allergy. I'd rather give up nuts than cheese... peanuts/peanut oil are just scary because they can be in so many things!
Glad it went away! So weird. I'm blaming pregnancy for this allergy.
That's the issue... we don't know! We have a tiny car now so we want a bigger SUV but not sure which one. Going to look at a bunch! It'll be fun
My suggestion is to get something with a 3rd row if you are planning on more kids. I have a Honda CR-V which was fine with just one but now it's definitely crammed. Especially on road trips.

We just got a traverse for this exact reason. We want 3-4 kids and my husband totaled his car so we had to get something.... went big just to plan ahead. Bonus, it has a built in DVD player for the back seats.
Guys, we left the house. For fun. Not just the drs office. We went to the playground and then a coffee shop for lunch. Just me and the kids. It was amazing. I missed them being fun and active and enjoying life (and food). We aren't 100% but we are getting there I will never take getting out of the house for granted again.

Hey! Today kids went to daycare and I went out of town shopping with my sister. I needed to return/exchange a few things that DS had gotten for Christmas (duplicates). Really didn't buy much, a couple things at Target and one shirt for DD at Macys. Our Macy's is closing so everything was on sale, but anything I wanted was only 20% off. My sister got an amazing deal on a wool peacoat. Like almost a $300 coat for $88. We are planning to keep an eye out for when the store is exactly closing and might go closer to the end to see if they have things marked down even more. Some things were 40-50% off but most was 20%.
After we got back and I picked the kids up we briefly went home and then left again to go out to supper for my mom's birthday. H was helping his grandparents move so he was off doing that.
Tomorrow we have nothing on the agenda which I'm so looking forward to!
Re: SUV's I have a Durango Citadel and love it. It has a 3rd row which is generally folded down. It folds down flat and then we have a good amount of cargo space. If we were to have a 3rd child it would really limit our cargo space using that 3rd row. But for now it's suiting our needs.
If you plan to have 3+ kids, might as well opt for a vehicle with captains chairs in the back seat (2nd row) so that it is open to get into the 3rd row. Ours does not have this, so if we have another child we for sure will need a new vehicle.

My sister's vehicle is a Durango. When I had both my kids and her little boy in it I only folded up one of the back seats. Then I climbed in the back to buckle him. It worked out fine, but I wouldn't want to do it all the time.

Well, it was bound to happen sometime. My first post-partum AF arrived last night. It's about time, since C self-weaned a couple of weeks ago. It's weird how you can both dread its return and kind of be excited that your body is finally back to "normal" function.
