It's crazy to me how fast and slow these days are going!! DD sleep from 10pm to 4am!!!!!!! I actually woke her up to feed her. Oh and I obviously did not sleep the whole time, stupid brain doesn't want to settle even though I'm exhausted. I also started sleeping with an earplug in one ear because my awake brain + baby noises = even less sleep.
I'm also starting to notice that if we give up feeding her on her daytime 3 hour schedule (because she falls deep asleep sometimes)... then there's hell to pay later on. Boo...
I might take her out on my own today so Dh can work on some stuff at home. Just can't decide where to go... must be acceptable in my crazy hair and no makeup state...

We cleaned today. It feels so good when the house is super clean, but I hate deep cleaning. Hazel hates napping without being held so I put her in the swing and started vacuuming. Ended up needing to leave the vacuum on over an hour because she slept so good. Whatever it takes, I guess.
I went back to target today, this time solo! It felt like I won the lottery. I had to exchange N's size 1 diapers for 2s 😳. It's unreal how fast this guy is growing😭. Also...i suck at couponing. Teach me your ways requiressnacks.
It's another yucky cold rainy day here. But tomorrow I'm going to a yoga class with a friend at a brewery and then imbibing in some beer! I feel so much better when I get out of the house for a bit.
I'm a total newb a couponing . There was a deal if you spend $125 on baby stuff, you get a $20 GC for future use. Also, there were some diapers where if you buy 3 you get a $10 GC for future use. There was also a 10% off Huggies on cartwheel and 5% off for red card.
And if you have a printer, there were lots of manufacturers coupons on coupon.com this week, especially for Huggies.
In my case, I was buying formula too so I used some Enfamil checks. I also did 2 transactions so I left Target with $60 in GCs.
I liked the Target Couponing page on FB. It helped!

I spilled an entire jar of soy sauce on my kitchen floor today while attempting to cook a nice meal for DH for when he wakes up.
I may have shed a tear....mainly because the cleaning lady just came on Thursday and now my kitchen smells like soy sauce.
I'm also now eating the meal I prepared. Normally I would wait for H to get up but I am enjoying the silence in the house so much right now. (I'm sure this will jinx the peace and quiet the minute I hit post)

requiressnacks, have you tried Nutramiagen? It's pretty expensive but everyone I know that struggles with formulas ended up using that with great success.

Not yet, but that's probably our next step. It's so expensive so I'm trying to exhaust our options first. The pediatrician wants to keep him on the preemie high calorie, but I'm convinced that's causing the GI issues. (Not that I'm smarter than a doctor, but I spend the most time feeding this baby)

Trust your instinct. Doctors know babies in general, but YOU know your baby best.
Winnifred We're in the same boat with the feeding schedule. I hate to wake her every three hours during the day, but if not there's hell to pay at night. I assume she'll adjust at some point...

Mine still eat every 3 hours during the day like clockwork

Im glad to hear we aren't the only ones. I think she would sleep longer in the evenings if I let her, but it's so not worth it.

I'm at my wits end. Baby has insisted on being held today. Pref by me. We're stopping by my dads' before heading to the prayer session. And getting us all out the door almost did me in. I forgot the his hat and gloves and I'm sure someone will point that out to me. I did not shower, my hair's a big mess...I was lucky to find clothes that fit. Also something that had me close to tears. My maternity stuff is too big, my reg clothes too tight. Argh. I need wine asap.
Quiet day today. MIL came for lunch then left so thankfully it was a short visit. I think my supply if actually going up, now I just need to figure out how to get her to eat it all herself so I don't have to pump. If it keeps going up we should be able to dump the formula in a couple of days. Time for naps.

Winnifred, did you end up sticking with Gentlease? I'm having major formula issues with DS and I'm sort of at my wits end.
We're still using it and dd is doing much better on it! It took a few days for her to get used to it.
I feel like I should probably add that I really don't know if formula was the issue at all. We're staying with this one because she's doing good, but we only changed it after she had a crazy day and the dr suggested we give it a shot.
I hope whatever you choose to do next will help your baby and you!
requiressnacks, the preemie high cal stuff gave ds major GI issues. We ended up taking him off and adding a little extra regular formula to his bottles. He managed that a lot better. I forget how we mathed it, but in the end the cal intake was the same as the high cal stuff, but it was regular enfamil instead of the specialty stuff.
I ran a bunch of errands this morning alone. It would have been nice except I came home to a disaster in my house and I lost my shit. I told everyone that I have approximately 10 minutes a day where I'm not holding another human, cooking, doing laundry, or cleaning the stuff that has to get done every day. I don't want to spend that time cleaning up messes that someone else was too lazy to clean themselves. I enjoy being able to shower on occasion. Bunch of jerks.

Thanks, Lucy. I'm trying him on his sisters formula for now and we will see if it improves. So far he's been eating more volume so I almost wonder if that will counteract the decrease in calories. We shall see!
And sorry about the disaster in your house. I hate coming home to that!!
mrsp121308 D loves the vacuum too. And yes for a clean house.
requiressnacks mama definitely knows more about what works and doesn't work for your baby. We did Nutramigen with DS2 for a little bit. So flipping expensive, but we didn't notice too much of a difference so went back to Gentlease. Enfamil wills end you some rebates for Nutramigen. Every little bit helps if you need to try it. www.enfamil.com/nutramigen-savings-and-support-program
littlelion sorry for the rough start to your day. All those things would have me crying.

Didn't do much yesterday... cleaned and kept the kids fed and alive. We got ZERO snow. The weathermen always lie. I made it til halftime for the Patriots game last night. Thank goodness they have the 3:00 game next week. Lol.
Today = a whole bunch of nothing. I'm determined to get DS's birth announcement done finally. I don't feel so bad because people did get the Christmas card with his pic.

I've been trying all week to get the k'tan to work. I could not get DS to feel secure in it. I went to BRU to return some shit and I bought a new carrier with like backpack straps and he's happily snoozing in it right now and I've been putting laundry away, eating breakfast etc. Game. Changer.
I put his NB clothes away this morning (wwwwwaaaaahhhhhh)
I tried his cloth diapers yesterday... there are still huge gaps in the leg holes. Poor boy has skinny little legs and no butt like his daddy. Looks like we're stuck with disposables for a while.
Oh! And he fits in his swaddleme's now. I swaddled him last night and he slept (!!!) from like 10:30-6, waking up ONCE between 1-2. HALLELUJAH

One baby is napping, the other is staring at me right now. haha
My sister is coming over and I think we are going to hit up Marshalls and maybe out to lunch. I find leaving the house to be exponentially easier when I have a 2nd set of hands.
Tonight is DH's last night shift this week and THANK GOD it is. I don't like being a single parent. Although, I put the babies to sleep last night while singing along to the Pandora Lullabies station. It was a nice moment for the 3 of us that may not have happened if H were there.
