Weekly check-in:
How far along are you? 9w 1day
How are you feeling (physically/emotionally)? Symptoms kicked up again, which made me feel better mentally. Sore boobs, nausea especially if I don't eat regularly, tiredness, and gagging. Emotionally, I am nervous. My ultrasound last week was great but my progesterone was only 13 and my HCG was way higher than my other pregnancies, so I proceeded to Google everything, even though I know better, and freaked out. My doctor says it's all normal and not to worry.
Any appointments or milestones coming up this week? Official dating ultrasound Friday morning. The one where I have to drink 32 oz of water and then not pee for an hour.
Do you need any thoughts or prayers? For Friday please.
Anything else you'd like to share? So, I am gigantic from bloating. Like, gigantic. Someone asked me today if I was pregant and I don't really blame her BC I look SO pregnant. I asked her, "Is it that obvious?" LOL. I didn't want to tell anyone (besides close family members) until after 12 weeks and genetic testing, but my belly told everyone. Does anyone else have this? My SIL thinks it's because I just had the miscarriage in September (didn't get D and C till October) and my belly was already stretched from that so it popped right out. Oh well.
QoTW: Seems like we don't have a lot of winter fans here ;-) So this week's QoTW is: What's your favorite time of year? I love fall and spring equally. Summer's okay too, just hate winter.
I am sorry I am so late to this, I will try and add more later and comment. It is my first week back and my students are already being troublesome. I don't know how many times this week I had to remind them that they are adults, in college, and I am not their mother.
I had my NT scan Monday and so far it all looks good so I am thinking of telling some family soon...
MH got the stomach bug and is in the hospital for dehydration. I'm disappointed he may not get to go to the NT scan tomorrow. I want him to see her moving around and I'm also really anxious to be alone if it doesn't go well

Sounds like conversations I have with my students. However I am quite fearful for mine since they want to be teachers...
Thanks ladies H is waiting to be discharged. They said he had to wait for the dr to come around lunch time but he told them why he needs to leave sooner. I hope he can! Our apt is at 1:45
Hi there! First time posting here. I suffered a loss in November after our 3rd medicated cycle (gonal F and HCG) and IUI. We conceived our next cycle, with twins. DS was conceived and born 3/15 after 3 medicated cycles (follistim) and IUI. Anyway.....
How far along are you? 8w2d
How are you feeling (physically/emotionally)? I feel goodish. I have been struggling with morning sickness, but adding some B-6 twice a day has helped. My migraines are out of control so I got an RX for pregnancy safe migraine meds. I've got a cold & have lost my voice, so I got a z-pack too. Other than that, just exhausted.
Any appointments or milestones coming up this week? Had my last appointment with my RE today. I have graduated to my regular OBGYN, who I will see in 2 weeks. Baby A is measuring at 8w1d with 167 HB and Baby B is measuring at 7w6d with 171 HB. They both look great!
Do you need any thoughts or prayers? Yes. They did see some bleeding on the ultrasound today. They said that the babies are doing good, I'm far enough along, so they aren't "terribly concerned." However, they want me to take it easy in between now and my next appointment. I'm kinda worried, but I haven't seen blood, so until I see something like that, I'm not going to be too alarmed.
Anything else you'd like to share? Nope.
QoTW: Seems like we don't have a lot of winter fans here ;-) So this week's QoTW is: What's your favorite time of year? I live in Southern California so I love the fall!
NT scan went well. Normal neck measurements and nasal bone. She was wiggling all around and threw her hands up. I'm so relieved, I was a mess today. My head is still pounding.
yoshijo28 SO glad to hear that the went well!! Seeing them wiggly is so nice. We never saw that with our first so when I saw it dancing around I almost cried
I'm so sorry YH had to spent some time at the hospital yoshijo28 ! So glad to read he was able to come to the NT scan after all - and that all was well! Also hope that your stomach bug has taken a hike by now and you feel better.
cravingchocolate05, I hope your official dating scan went well! They didn't give me any info on whether or not I had to come in with a full blatter or not, so I went half-half.. still wasn't too comfortable haha but it was okay. I hear you on the extreme bloat! During the day tis okay for me but in the evening I feel like I'm 7mo pg with triplets... sooo huge!
elliecat17, how did you figure out about your placenta placement? I've had 3 U/Ss and no one mentioned my placenta like ever. Did they mention it or did you ask about it or? Just curious! I'm so glad you passed all your milestones and everything is going well!
@xamountofwords, I forgot my antinausea meds last night and this morning and am paying for it now.. I don't think I'll forget again either *g* I hope that you wn't feel too anxious with stopping the P4 and all now that you're 10wks. *hug*
cali, Yay for a good scan, always a relief! I hope you got your OB stuff sorted out and was able to get more info on the prenatal testing and timing of things.
PepperPottsJ, wonderful news! GL with your scan and BW on Monday.
addymac, reading your update made me smile. So glad to read all is well! What a relief.

Thanks muscari. You are good at remembering appointments and checking up on everyone.
The results of my ultrasound were good!! Baby measuring 9w1d with heart rate around 180. That's a week behind my LMP, but I know I ovulated 5 days late, so right on track. Due date now 08/25 according to the tech.
I don't want to sound like a diva, but the ultrasound itself was super stressful for me. I had a tech I've never seen before. I think she was new. She did an abdominal scan first in almost complete silence, only noise was when she turned on sound of my blood going through my ovaries (which I initially thought was the heart beat but wasn't). The screen was turned away the whole time.
She then sent me to get changed without saying anything about whether the baby was alive. I was thinking the worst at that point. I guess I should have said something but was afraid to ask. She then went 10 minutes through the transvaginal ultrasound, and I was trying to decide whether to say anything when she said, "There's the heartbeat. It's about 180. That's normal." She turned the screen so we could see. I started crying and my husband let out the biggest sigh of relief (which he denied later, lol)
I know some states/cities are super strict about what techs can say, but I've had other techs in that same office find the heartbeat right away and show me the whole ultrasound. I thought about saying something afterwards, but she seemed nice (and new at her job) and I didn't want to hurt her feelings. Sorry this was so long!! Pgal brain really messes with you.
cravingchocolate05 I had a similiar experience the 1st time I saw my OB. At the RE, the dr does the u/s and immediately finds the baby and starts talking about it. But the tech at the ob said nothing. She must have been looking at other stuff because I didn't even see the baby for awhile. I finally asked if she knew the heart rate. It was hard because it's so different. This time we saw the baby and I asked the tech if she was moving around and she said yes. Then I saw the flutter of a heartbeat I couldn't have another silent scan.

Oh my goodness cravingchocolate05, my RE's office has 2 monitors, so I can see what's going on regardless of what he is saying. I'm so sorry for that stress. So glad everything went well

I'm really sorry about that & can totally relate. I would suspect it's the new tech. I know that the ones I go to will tell me "here's what's going on, but don't say anything. Let the doctor tell you." On my first US they saw what they believe was 3 sacs. She told me this, but also said to wait & not say anything. I'm really sorry & hopefully your next US tech is better!

muscari the tech told me, she added it as a warning about not freaking out if I couldn't feel the baby move as soon as other people because the placenta would cushion movement. However I have had this tech in the past so I think she was over the moon with being able to give us good news.

cravingchocolate05 I'm sorry. I've had a really cold tech many times. They are the ones who tend to be pretty strict. I now ask who is scheduled and make sure to not schedule on a day she works.

Sorry you had such a stressful U/S. When I was pregnant with Molly we had an US at 12 weeks because the Dr couldn't find her HB on Doppler. When we first talked to the tech I told her why we were there and she was like "oh, I can't tell you if there is a heartbeat you have to call the Dr" major WTF moment. She did end up telling us that everything was fine once we got in there. I've never had anyone else not tell me and let me see what's going on. Stupid hospital rules.
