1. Are you a current, recovering or recovered insomnia sufferer? Current
2. Did you always suffer from insomnia or was there a trigger? Always
3. What are you doing to treat or cope? Is it working? I take Klonopin as needed. I don't take it as often as I would like, or probably should, but it usually works when I take it.
4. Any major break-through lately that has helped you sleep. Nope.
QOTM: Do you have a nighttime routine to help you sleep? Not really. I try to not be on my phone at night, but that's about it.
I'm bored out of my mind tonight so I thought I would revive this check-in. I slept like shit last night and woke up with a headache that turned into a migraine. It finally went away after enough Excedrin, but because of all the caffeine now I can't sleep.
Late to this @led but sorry about the lack of sleep! I have a feeling I'm not going to be able to get any sleep tonight (OOT this weekend and having increased anxiety) so I may hang out here if you are around...

Last night I got my first real nights sleep of the week. I'm hoping for a repeat tonight. I don't typically get on my phone at night, though. But feel free to post in here! This check in will be up until someone posts the next one. It's not often. Lol. We're a lazy bunch in this check in. If that's not obvious. Lol
Glad you were able to sleep last night @led! FX for the same tonight. If not I'll be around ☺️
It's almost 10:30 and I'm not even tired yet. Sigh. I have to get up early for a work thing tomorrow too 😩 I was almost late this morning because I could not get up out of bed. I should probably not be drinking but right now I'm hoping it makes me drowsy enough to pass out soon.
I think it's mostly due to my anxiety and being away from DD this weekend.
1. Are you a current, recovering or recovered insomnia sufferer? Current. Just started recently and I think it's due to my ADHD Meds. I've been taking my AD Meds at night in hopes it will cancle them out but so far not much luck. Will be talking to my NPP about dosage at my next visit.
2. Did you always suffer from insomnia or was there a trigger?
I absolutely love sleeping and would always sleep 12+ hours prior to having DD almost 2.5 yrs. ago. Now I think my sleeplessness is a combination of PPA and my current Meds.
3. What are you doing to treat or cope? Is it working?
Like I mentioned I tried taking my AD Meds at night but it's not really helping. I'm going to start trying some Melatonin to see if that can help.
4. Any major break-through lately that has helped you sleep.
Nope 😩
QOTM: Do you have a nighttime routine to help you sleep?
Just DD's bedtime routine (bath, brush teeth, pj's, story and white noise) and I'm in bed shortly after her as she is an extremely early riser. I have to try and limit my screen time before bed because I'm sure that's not helping. I should break out my lavender oil as I found some relief in the past.
@led - You are so lovely for restarting this. *** ETA: It only took me a month to notice it.
1. Are you a current, recovering or recovered insomnia sufferer? Permanent.
2. Did you always suffer from insomnia or was there a trigger? Always.
3. What are you doing to treat or cope? Is it working? Medication. It works when it wants to.
4. Any major break-through lately that has helped you sleep. Yes, I sleep to better on the couch. If only MH would just let me sleep the whole night through instead of waking me up to come to bed in the middle of the night.
QOTM: Do you have a nighttime routine to help you sleep? Take medication.
4:37AM This is what happens when you take daytime meds too late in the day. I took Ambien almost 5 hours ago. Still wide awake. MH came to check on me 40 minutes ago and woke up the cat. She has been running in circles and making noise since then.
