Yep. Mine likes to laugh at me too. I have to walk away.
We're in the same boat here. She smiles and giggles when I try to say no. I know she's thinking "yeah f-ing right, lady".
Oh Lord, it's maddening when they laugh at you. Lo has been doing that lately too. He's also taken to counting when I count and it makes me crazy. When I get to 3 he's like "45678910" and then laughs like crazy. The dead weight move is a lot of fun too. He makes his whole body go limp when I try to pick him up and it's like he weighs 50 lbs. Ahh, 2 year olds.
raven hope your lo cheers up. ourcrazynavylife we've had a ton of rain here too. So dreary. littlelion your boys are both adorable!
Took lo to his 2 year appointment this morning. He did awesome, I was pretty surprised. I thought it was going to all go downhill when they called us back and he had to stop playing with his favorite toy there. Thankfully he cooperated! Doc says he looks good and he even went from the 7th to the 9th percentile for height! Maybe now people will stop complimenting my kid for "walking so well for such a little guy." It happens everywhere we go and people always look shocked when I tell them he's 2.
After the pedi's we headed to our library for their first sensory play day. They had all kinds of sensory stations set up for the kids to explore. He had so much fun. His 2 year old pic.
I have a 2 year old! Yesterday was M's birthday and we had a pretty low key day with dinner at MIL house. Tonight will be his actual party with cake. We already gave him his present, the imagine with me Elmo with the different hats and he loves it.
As for the laughing when you say no he does that to me also. I've tried timeout in his room but he thinks that is great and snuggles in his bed and reads books. It's almost like he thinks it's a treat.
My oldest child turned FIFTEEN today, people. FIFTEEN. In our state, she can get her driver's permit in less than 6 months. We have a ton of milestones this year- LO turned 2, oldest is 15, my boys will be 12 and 10 and I will finally EFFING graduate in May! Makes my head spin a little.
The first week back to clinical was good- I have three different sites each week with three different preceptors, so I'm trying to adapt to that. It's exciting that in less than 16 weeks I will be done!
In other baby related news, LO seems to have gotten the hang of the potty and is doing it full time now (except nights and nap because I will be damned if she's getting out of that crib)!
I have been lurking and promise to catch up soon. Hope everyone is well, my J15 homies!

Totally brought DD out in the rain to IHOP for dinner. Did not feel like cooking. Side note. She's two and I don't think I've ever taken her to a restaurant by myself. Ever. Lol.

Real housewife-ing it up right now. Wine and housework so I'm not completely embarrassed to have guests tomorrow. There's so much damn animal hair on everything.

littlelion yea I'm so excited about it!! It's the franchise "soccer shots". They're not on teams but they have a 45 minute session each week to learn "skills".
ourcrazynavylife That is awesome! What a great program! I think they start at 4 here too. nemomof2 What an adorable cake! It looks like a bakery made it, not homemade on the fly. Kudos!

Fuck. My. Life.
Em keeps pulling her diaper off before she falls asleep for nap then waking herself up because she pees everywhere. Now she's a psycho because she's still tired.

Hope she calmed down for you. Leo is super hyper when he skips the nap.
