Qt for BTDT moms: Did your multiples experience a rough phase around 4 months? I know a sleep regression is normal, but rather than sleep issues, my son has just become incredibly loud and fussy. My daughter, meanwhile, has really mellowed out. As rough as things are, I'm grateful that my two have yet to act up simultaneously. Still, I'm wondering if others experienced this, and if so, whether it was with just one kid or both kids. Really though, I just want someone to tell me I'll get my calm boy back!
Were you early? I find adjusted age to be more accurate for most milestones. So mine hit the 4m sleep regression at 5m- more of a thing to keep in mind in general, anywho: fussiness could still be a sign of the sleep regression, he might not be sleeping as WELL which would make anyone cranky. Ditto your mellow daughter, she might just be tired. If that's the case, it's just a matter of weathering the storm.
Yes. I was convinced they were teething... especially M... but that was over a month ago and still no teeth.
Did the phase pass with your two or are you still dealing with it? This little guy just seems so overwhelmed sometimes that my only guess is that there's some crazy development thing going on, combined with the issues schmella mentioned. But it's good to know others went through the same thing--thanks!

They were born at 36 weeks and 3 days, so they were early. So far, they've seemed to hit developmental stages based on their actual age rather than their adjusted age though. Man, I really, really hope this is the 4-month regression playing up because I don't want to know what that looks like in a month if this isn't it!

It's hard to know if it passed because we travelled a lot in the past month, which throws everything off. But I think so. At this point they are quite happy and easy going during the day. Nights are still a challenge but getting better, slowly.

Mine too! I should say, the sleep regression and any milestones related to physical growth seem to follow adjusted age. My kids fit their actual for other developmental stuff. Have you looked into the Wonder Weeks? I don't follow it religiously but I have the app. It is spot on with the timing of "stormy" weeks for my kids
4 months is when they start to notice more and more of their surroundings. Mine didn't eat well at that age because they were constantly distracted. I wonder if he's a bit overwhelmed and needs some quiet cuddle time throughout the day. Maybe a baby carrier? My daughter still gets like this at 1.5. Too much chaos around her and she needs to be held and sometimes even taken to a quiet place to be by ourselves.
