Do any of you have babies in size 3 diapers? I can't tell, thinking about sizing up, but e still seems small.
And when do babies usually grow out of spitting up? E spots up often. He seems fine with it, so I guess it's fine? Happy spitter and all.
We are in size 3. Ds2 has consistently been 75th percentile and was a bit over 17 lbs when we switched. With the solid food, his poop was almost escaping the 2s.
bocaburgerdc2london our insurance was billed nearly $1mn last year for R's heart defect. Imagine how nervous I am...we are starting the process to get the kids dual citizenship with Taiwan, just in case.

About the same still wheezy and cruddy sounding. I'm going to call the pedi and see if we can move her WCC to today (rather than tomorrow). Thanks for asking
Question: R has been able to flip to tummy, but wasn't doing it in the crib until tonight...several times he flipped to tummy and just starts wailing. Any recommendations on what to do? It's foreign territory to me because DD first started rolling when she was sleeping and loved being on her tummy to sleep.

For us, we would flip him back over, but he would keep rolling back and losing his mind. We had to let him figure it out on his own. It was a long couple weeks before he would go back to sleep on his belly (which just started happening) or roll to his back.
Mom: Joy, does Baby Girl have any teeth? Me: No. She doesn't let us in her mouth and I think feeling her gummy gums is creepy. Mom: Oh, well - I'm going to stick my finger in there.
...three seconds...
Mom: Joy, she has a tooth right there. How do you not know this? Me: Um. Huh. Look at that. Thanks for not being dramatic about that tooth, Baby Girl.
My kid has a tooth and I didn't even know. Excellent.
dc2london that sounds awful! I hope it goes away quickly.
DS is sitting up on his own for several minutes now. This has revolutionized play time.
The ability to sit on their own in my opinion is the best developmental milestone. They are happy to play but they can't move yet so can't get in trouble.

Think back to her most cranky day recently and mark that as the day she got her first tooth
I need to vent about nurse line at pedi office for a second. I called today to see about increasing DS Zantac bc he's been awful at night and now daytime too. He's not a great burper but even if he does burp it doesn't help. He's miserable. It started before solids but does seem to be getting worse since starting. The day I didn't give solids though he was just as miserable. So they asked what he's eating. I said oatmeal, banana, sweet potatoes, and pears. He hates the oatmeal though. Instead of focusing on reflux she gave me a lecture about how I should have started on rice cereal, then moved onto oatmeal, then this other cereal. Then start on orange vegetables, then green vegetables, then do fruits by color. I asked does the impact reflux, to which she responded with no. You do that so they develop a taste for vegetables before fruits. I responded with it doesn't matter he loves it all. I'm annoyed bc I feel like she was judging me and not even listening. And it doesn't even matter bc they want him to come in anyway!!! They are so conservative about feeding. They still follow no high allergy foods until older. This same nurse with DD told me it's normal to scream when they have BM! Next time I just ask for a sick visit and only give information that I think they need to hear.

meagpt22 Id have been super pissed as that has nothing to do with reflux. Plus that's a pretty old standard for feeding in that order (we've done whatever I felt like so she had sweet potatoes first). As far as the veggies before fruits thing, it's a myth. So she can mind her business. We've introduced some fruits and she hates them, so I really don't think order matters.

I got similar advice (although without the rudeness or long discussion on food order) when ds2 was spitting up a ton. Like, huge amounts and way after eating (2.5 hrs). The nurse said to just do oatmeal. I ended up reducing the amount of formula and that helped. And them a week later we were in for a sick visit and the doctor kinda looked at me like the nurse was crazy and said to go back to fruits and veggies. I wish they all were on the same page! Hopefully you get some answers at your visit.

Last night ds2 was on the move! But, he was on his back. He made his way all around the kitchen doing some weird kick thing combined with arm flapping. It was rather odd but he was happy as can be!
Thanks ladies! The doctor was more helpful. He increased meds and thinks it's just a weight gain that made prior dose not as effective. And said keep feeding him. Did say we should consider a GI doctor if meds don't help for the reflux plus slow weight gain.
meagpt22 wow that's ridiculous. Sounds like their info is outdated too. My doc told me to wait until 6 months to introduce food & then skip rice cereal all together & go straight to fruits & veg, that the whole fruit before veg thing is a myth (no matter the order of introduction, humans always prefer sweet). She also said she is able to eat everything right now except honey. I could introduce things in any order I wanted but stick to the same thing 3 days in a row. She recommended introducing high allergy foods soon. Definitely none of this vegetables by color only thing, etc.
Guys. My baby started daycare today. He cried when I left. I'm okay. I'm okay. I'm okay. I'm okay. Lol. I dropped B in her classroom and he wasn't crying by the time I left so that's good. But still.
The first day I took my kid to daycare, the head teacher in the room looked at me warily and asked if I was okay. I was like "Yes, I'm fine. Can you take my kid? I'm late for work." Mother of the year!
My husband usually drops her off but I've done it occasionally since. One day I put her down on the floor, all the teachers were busy, and the other kids were crawling across the room. I was like "oh my god, I can't leave her. I can't do it. Someone love my baby!" I'm so glad my husband does drop off. I'd much rather pick her up at the end of the day when she's thrilled to see me!

This kid is breaking my heart. He doesn't want to be rocked for naps. He wants to be put in his crib, give him a little bit from his bottle, then his wubbanub, and let him be. If I have to give up rocking him at bed time, I don't know what I'll do. Nap time sleep training went too well, I wasn't ready for this big of a jump!
