sagen call the company you're getting your insurance through, call the insurance company directly. Make them fix this fuck up.
Then, call all your reps and senators and tell them this is not okay. After you call, you write, send a photo, make them see you as people, not as just another statistic or number
I called the insurance, and they said only my husband's previous HR can fix it. He was a doctor for the VA, and that place is just a mess. He called them, but we haven't heard back yet, they better fix it! I am definitely going to call my Reps and Senators! I am fuming right now. The sad part is that people complaining about ACA cost will see a projected 20-25%increase in premiums. Healthy people will drop out, people with preexisting conditions will now go to the ER, which will fall on taxpayers when they with good reason can't pay. Our country is so backwards right now. It makes me sad to see

I went to school today for the first time since mid Dec. and am very clearly pg at 5'1" and almost 22 weeks. There's really no hiding it for me though I thought about trying at a business event last week. I'm also in a male dominated field though not currently working so that helps. jennyelf fx maybe this time will be better? Also if the bad treatment is super blatant I'd probably call people out on it, but I'm not always the most appropriate at these things lol.
On another note baby's movement is getting way more obvious (anterior placenta and all) and last night DW got to feel a huge kick! It was so cool! This is the part of pregnancy I've always wondered about and thought would be so cool! And for now I am loving it lol.
Getting ready to go to yoga but trying to eat dinner first and worried I haven't left myself enough time to digest.

PirateCat so sorry about your friends! My bff is about to do her first IVF cycle and another bff is about to start IUIs. It's tough to be pg and know they're struggling with it.

I made it 21 minutes on the treadmill before I started cramping so badly that I stopped. Still not sure what happened there. It's a bit better now, but still feels like having my period. :\
On the plus side, H couldn't find the fish he wanted so I got fake chicken instead. Huzzah.

icedtea I get those cramps. Have you been drinking enough water? I usually get them when I'm behind in my water, but I've gotten them when I'm plenty hydrated too.
About to head to the gym. I don't really want to go, but H does so yeah.
BabyStandish, I drank a ton of water all day but didn't have any with me on the treadmill. I'm hoping that's what it was. I'm comforting myself with a muffin and nutella.

I approve.
Yeah, it's pretty normal to cramp up during/after exercise. It always freaks me out a little so I try to dial it down and drink lots of water. My belly usually stays hard after for awhile which is weird, but it happens to my other other running friend too. She asked her Dr about it and he said it was normal. I think my uterus must be stretching a lot this past week too because I feel like I've been crampy a lot lately.

That all makes sense and makes me feel better. I've had light cramping thus far, but nothing like this. I had upped my treadmill effort though, so I guess that's why.
PirateCat I'm so sorry about your friends! That breaks my heart.
Re: birthing videos - my MIL always asks me if I'm "sad to be missing out" on the experience of vaginal childbirth and I just laugh maniacally. Birthing videos are scary!
Sooo remember when I said we'd be waiting to transition DD to the toddler bed? Yeah, tonight she climbed out of her crib, walked downstairs and said "Hello!" while grinning triumphantly at us. So the crib ship has sailed and tonight is officially the start of the toddler bed. We decided to forego the method of going and putting her back into bed every time she gets out. She's the kid who just gets excited about the negative attention and will do it more. So we did her bedtime routine again, closed her door, and watched on the monitor as she wandered around the room for a bit, then proceeded to attempt to open the door. When she couldn't get it open, she wadded up her blanket like a pillow and laid down on the floor in front of the door. That is how she fell asleep and now her door is blocked so we can't move her without waking her LOL. Is this really terrible parenting? I honestly don't really care if she'd rather sleep on the floor. Eventually she'll realize the bed is more comfy and sleep in it. Right? I'm totally second guessing myself here. I nannied for 3 years so I had experience with most kid-related things prior to having DD, but not this!

mcp6286 definitely not bad parenting. DS has ended up asleep on the floor a few times now since we transitioned him a couple weeks ago. As long as he sleeps that's fine with me lol

Yeah, it's not very blatant, it's just dealing with all the judginess. "Are you sure you should be eating/drinking/doing that?" Comments about my size. Becoming the "pregnant person novelty" as opposed to the person I've been before. It's just easier to reduce that as much as possible. I probably need to learn a polite way of saying, "none of your business" / "you aren't my doctor so shut up".
