And I just finished cleaning up DS's puke. Apparently there is a stomach bug going around at school but I totally missed the note this morning. I would have taken more precautions if I had read it when O said his stomach hurt at dinner.
So here's to hoping that E did not catch it when he was all over her this afternoon.
+1 for no sleep in the crib. I'm not looking forward to making that transition but I want to make the jump before I go back to work next month.
I had a busy day today. I successfully nursed Cal while out and did my first real grocery trip while baby wearing. A was a hot mess tonight so I'm praying he is not getting sick. Today was the last big outing day for C before his surgery next week.
hangry, Lt for commiseration! waitwhat, sometimes he's on for 30 minutes per boob and sometimes barely 10 minutes per boob... I'll try to keep him on longer

cheshie6 Green isn't a cause for concern unless it's happening all the time. I see green now and then. It freaked me out with Lillian, but I'm much less disturbed now. I've seen lots of weird colors in the two+ years I've cleaned Lillian's butt.
hangry Oh no! I hope E avoids the bug and your ds feels better soon.

cheshie6 we get green poo every couple days. I think frothy green is worrisome for hindmilk, but if similar to yellow texture it's okay. At least I hope, since that's why we have!
I've thrown my wallet in my diaper bag too- which is just a tote bag really.
waitwhat I don't burp D after side nursing. However she is a baby that hardly ever spits up so I'm no help.
Tonight is going to suck. The sound on my monitor suddenly stopped working. The picture is there but no sound. So I'm sleeping with my door open and the door to the nursery cracked, and no white noise in my room, in the hopes that I will be able to hear her. FX that I will! But also that I'll be able to get any sleep without waking at every small sound thinking it's her. Sigh.
buckyb when is surgery? We go Monday. Are you at children's for it? I believe I remember we are both wi but not same city.
Us cold weather ladies (tjanca22) should have a play date.
Surgery is next Wednesday. I grew up in WI but live in MN now. We'll be at Children's in Minneapolis. Any tips on what I should bring for myself to the hospital? Clothes, snacks, pump, etc. I feel like I'm packing my hospital bag for birth again.
@sarahwithanh - Thank you so much!!! I appreciate all of your input and I am definitely adding a few things to my list. I love the idea of card games or adult coloring books for distraction. I'm going to throw in a notebook to jot down questions.
Surgery will be a few hours. It will really depend on if they can repair the kidney or have to remove it. We will be in the hospital Wednesday - Friday.
buckyb, @sarahwithanh has some amazing insight and tips. What I will echo is snap pjs for babe. E had to have an IV in her foot so the best clothing option was more like a snapping romper so the IV was out and diaper changes were easier. And definitely bring an extra blanket. I was always cold at night. I also brought a lot of snacks and a refillable water bottle.
ClassyMrsA adorable! I haven't even thought about the bumbo, I didn't think it was time yet but Lylah looks very comfortable there! I'll have to dig mine out and give it a try.
hangrywaitwhat Thanks!! Yes, Lilah is an overachiever. Dr said she's ahead strength wise. Lillian was the same way. I thought I'd try the bumbo out last night on a whim and she did very well!
We never got one. I'm going to ask my sister in law of she still has one that we can try out. C seems so close to be able to sit on his own.
If you are looking for something to sit them I and your sil doesn't have a Bumbo for you I would look into a sit me up by Fisher Price. I think it lasts longer, is more versatile and has less concerns about hips and such. I have a hand me down Bumbo that we rarely used with S and am too cheap to buy something else to clutter my home but it would be what I would get now.
Yea, I wouldn't spend the money on a bumbo because it has such a short life. I mean, the product is good, but developmentally for baby it only works for a short time.
