Here with a headache.
H is off the rest of the week so he is doing DC dropoff. I got up an hour before I had to leave and was ready in 30 minutes, I was like so this is what it was like before kids... queue M's bedroom door opening lol.

It's amazing what you can do in the morning kid free. I never get to work before 9:15 unless H takes here. I generally get her dressed and he drops off. When that happens I get to work at 8:30 it's amazing lol
Hey!! My kid slept for 4 hrs straight last night, and so did I-it was amazing! She had been up all evening and cluster feeding so I had hoped she would sleep and she did.
This baby had an awful night of sleep, up 3 times in 8 hours. He pooped twice early this morning, hoping that is it but the past couple nights haven't been great either. If he's growing- let's get it over with baby.
DH is out of town so I'm flying solo this week. I crept out of bed and downstairs, fixed coffee, fed the dogs and let them out. I tiptoed back upstairs, dumped clean clothes from the dryer on my bed and went to head to the shower and my dear child decided to get up an hour early. At least he didn't throw a fit while I showered, but ugh. Just wanted to get ready quickly and in peace, child!

I know it's not quite what you wanted, but them being able to entertain themselves for 20 min while you shower/ get dressed really is a nice change from showering as fast as you can bc they are crying or whatever.

Yes - game changer. Now if I could just get him to stop opening the shower curtain and freezing me, we'd be set.

Rough morning. Had a big fight with H before the kids got up. Both kids sobbed when I dropped them off at the sitters. Have to go to something tonight for work so won't be back until late.

dogmama22 whenever anyone takes a shower, O tries to take his clothes and diaper off and jump in too. Both kids are obsessed with the shower lately (like ask to shower multiple times a day). Kids are so weird.

Sorry for the rough morning chrispy1122! I hope the rest of your day goes better.
Did I ever tell you guys the twins mom's friend had a baby right after Christmas and she needs a very part time sitter (like 2-4 hours a day, 3 days a week) starting in Feb and it works out with my schedule perfectly. Well, I am meeting her today. Hopefully everything goes well and I like them and they like me. It'll be a good way to get a little extra money!

I know I've been in and out mostly out lately. But I need some advice on where to start on going back to school. I've been thinking a lot about taking online classes to work towards becoming a RN but have no idea where to start... any help you can provide would be great!

Have you already earned a BA/BS in another study? If so NKU offers an accelerated nursing program for those that already have a BA/BS. If you're starting from 0 or even if you were like me and have some courses, but not a degree then the Gateway2NKU program would probably be good for you. If you haven't already, file your FAFSA asap. They changed FAFSA rules for hte 2017-18 year and you can file with your tax info for 2015.
mrscatfarmer13 - I have zero college... that's why I wasn't sure where to start!
ok, so file your FAFSA, fafsa.ed.gov
The gateway2NKU program would probably be you best best financially, and you can still do nursing. You'll start taking classes at gateway to earn your associates, and you'll be able to take up to 4 NKU classes at the gateway tuition rate. Once you earn your associates you'll finish your bachelor degree at NKU.
If you're a numbers person, in a perfect world an AASN will cost you about $8500 in tuition at Gateway and you'll pay around an additional $18k to finish your BSN at NKU. Total cost appox $26500. If you start at NKU your total tuition cost will be $49500 for your BSN. Gateway = $156/credit hour NKU = $375/credit hour.

yeah I'm looking into everything now, according to a friend of the family - single mom working full time and going to school will result in good deal for extended education (not totally sure about that, but something to look into)...

hbrockman01 your friend isn't wrong, don't assume anything until you see what you are awarded. It depends on your financial situation, but even if you don't qualify for a ton in grants, it's ok to take loans. Don't forgot to see if your employer offers tuition reimbursement.

I'm a glutton for punishment I suppose... I know it won't be easy but I know what I'm doing it for and I couldn't be more grateful for the support system I have around me... for the first time in a long time I'm finally happy with where I am! maybe slightly jealous of all you ladies with new squishes

hbrockman01 it will be hard as hell!! But you got this. Do it for your LO. My H and I did while working full time no kiddo but still kicked our ***. Make friends in class they will save you when you miss or need help. My cohort worked like one family. Good luck.

I started training my replacement today. This should be quick. She's smart and catches on quick. And I don't have to train her on any of the internal systems since this is an internal move for her.

But my head is pounding and I'm starved.
Glad to hear the replacement has started. Light at the end of the tunnel!
