I feel like it's so quiet over here!
I love being on the FB group because there's a lot of action there, but I hate the format! It's so hard to keep track of where new conversations crop up.
I love the new button here. That way I don't miss things!

I do have trouble with the long threads on facebook. I get a notification that there is something new in it, but it is a reply to a comment in the middle and I end up needed to expand each little conversation to find what it was.

This is my problem too. But it can't be beat for picture sharing!

I think I may be trying to start too much. I started c25k (well, 10k, but I feel like people know what those letters are) after Christmas, am doing the BBM challenge and I really want to start a yoga challenge too. I suppose I should raincheck that last one until the BBM challenge is over.
It's hard to rein in enthusiasm once you finally find some!
We are having a horribly cranky nap-refusing day today. He is so clingy and moody all of a sudden- the past few days he's been so off. And he seems super tired all the time. Idk if he's getting sick or entering a leap or getting more teeth or just, you know, being a baby. But I am exhausted and I haven't showered in 2 days and I want my happy baby back.

Sorry you guys are struggling. L had a cranky last few days, too, and sure enough I saw fresh teeth last night. Amazing how those fuckers create such havoc.
Cranky whiny baby here too. Still only doing two 40 min naps a day which is not enough of a break for me either. I think a plastic coat hanger finally distracted him, we'll see how long that lasts.

It's always the most ridiculous item.
Here's how our weekend went:
Hundreds of dollars of baby toys - ignored. Target gift card (balance $0.70) - hours of entertainment.

I am rearranging my kitchen since DD recently discovered we have cabinets full of "toys" in there. (Really, this mobile baby thing is exhausting, I don't know how some of you have been doing this for months.)
Is a wooden rolling pin safe for her to play with?

I agree. I feel like I miss out on stuff over there because of how it posts and notifies me of things.
I almost said Good Morning! but I see it's the afternoon. For me anyway. Had a busy full morning at work. Kids are at MIL's today because daycare has the day off (planned). I'm sure DS is loving a day with nana. It's been awhile. I have about a 1.5 hour period of down time right now and then busy for a couple hours before being done. H is now gone until Sunday. I'm kind of glad. My house is a mess and I always seem to be able to get it clean and keep it clean better without him around to mess it up behind me.

Oh yeah. DD has one of those along with spatulas, cake pans, tupperware, and a set of Ikea mini kitchen pots and pans to play with in the kitchen. We pretty much gave the kitchen island storage over to the kids. Mostly she just enjoys pulling all the canned goods and teas off the shelves in our pantry though.
We had a productive morning. Went to the gym, the girls had fun in the childcare and I spent 45 mins on the elliptical. S got a little fussy right before I got back to get them but I think it was because she was tired. I nursed her before we left and she passed out on the way home. H didn't want to leave so that's good. I didn't bring shower stuff alone because I wasn't sure how it would go, but I will definitely be bringing next time. Towards the end of my work out an older gentleman, probably in his 60s, walked in with these tiny orange shorts on. I'm pretty sure they were women's running shorts. I need to get a 2nd sports bra, and having gigantic boobs isn't helping the situation. Does anyone have any suggestions?

So much this.
I get into such a good grove of clean when MH is gone that it's frustrating when he gets back. But these days with two littles to wrangle, I mostly appreciate having him back ;-)
Oh, I forgot to mention that we are having a heat wave: it's in the 40s! So we will be going out for a walk this afternoon after naps. I am so happy to get some fresh air.

Yes, definitely nice having the 2nd parent around especially after a few days, definitely a trade off for extra hands but a messy house!

Sorry for the rough couple days tkford216 . I hope B is back to normal quickly.
swivelchair5 you need cabinet locks, lol. I would let baby play with the rolling pin but she can't reach it.
We have locks on about half the cabinets. So anything glass, sharp or otherwise hazardous is locked up, but she can play with lightweight metal baking dishes, tupperware, and my large collection of plastic coffee travel mugs that I never use.

L can get the locks off our kitchen cabinets already, so looks like we need to try out a new type. Thankfully there isn't anything in the bottom cabinets that she can get hurt on or mess up too bad.
I'm glad y'all are enjoying your 40 degree weather. NC went from 6-8 inches of snow and single digit temps to 66 degrees in about a week. These college kids are walking around in shorts and tank tops like it's summer.

What latches do you have? I can barely get ours off. I need to buy a few new ones because I decided a couple of ours are defective or stick or something, we have such difficulty getting them off so I left them off. Thankfully DD isn't persistent on the cupboards yet.

Cranky baby and bad naps here too. I feel like that's the story of our life here. He had a 35 min nap this am and finally a 1.5 hr nap this afternoon and he's so happy. I could leave the room without full on hysterics for once!
I think it's just an awkward stage where they aren't really that tired for 2 naps but still need the 2 naps.

Crappy ones? Lol, I'm honestly not sure. Just some that slip around the knobs with the piece that slides off so you can open them that DH picked up ages ago. I realized pretty quickly that they were easy to slip off, but she wasn't concerned with cabinets back then so I didn't worry about it. Now she is obsessed with trying to get into the dishwasher detergent box, so we at least have to get one to secure that cabinet shut.

X is moving backwards in naps. He's been doing 3 a day again this week. That 3rd one is short, usually 30 minutes, but it allows us to get to bedtime without a disaster. He's been sleeping better at night, but this is weird!? The other two naps are pretty consistently 90 minutes.

We made it to a mom and baby mall walk this morning. It's a mall-sponsored event so they often give stuff out and this morning it was a voucher for a free studio session and print. I'm sure DH was so impressed when I called to tell him. To soften the blow I told him to pick what he would like to wear and I will work from there. Our last 'full family' portrait is from when DD1 was 9 months so we're due for an updated one.
I think we're catching that stomach bug that's going around. My stomach has felt off since yesterday. Luckily, haven't thrown up yet. DD seems fine so she went to daycare today.
For the first half of the morning H and I took turns looking after DS. I went to have a nap at 10:30, h put DS down at 11:30, and we didn't wake until almost 3. So the day has been completely wasted.

I always consider time napping time well spent. Hope your stomach settles and you don't get sick!
DS NAPPED FOR MORE THAN 40 MINUTES! Granted the last hour has been on me, but I'll take all the baby snuggles. I can't remember the last time he's slept so long (maybe because I'm tired too) but I'm thrilled lol

We have these ones and they are junk. Obviously this one isn't serving it's purpose because we cant get it undone and it needs to be replaced.
