Facebook Group?

We haven't talked about this in awhile. I thought I would bring it up again. Is anyone interested in making a TCF O'16 Secret Group on Facebook. We would be able to share pictures a lot easier there at least. For a Secret Group you have to be friends of someone in the group to be added. Or we could do a closed and then anyone can be added but only members can see posts. Thoughts?

I like FB groups, but I don't want to "lose" anyone who wouldn't participate in the FB group.

I'm more inclined to share my IG. We did that in my other BMB but we had a private chat area. If becole could set that up for us, I'd do that.

Ditto. IG is a little less...personal? I mean you still see pictures and of course you can gather details about someone but it's not nearly as "out there" as facebook to me. I am comfortable with IG sharing and would actually like it - I have loved keeping up with my May 14 BMB there.

I can set up a private board for us to share pictures. That way people are still checking in here but we have a private area.

Meh. I've been trying to avoid FB lately because of all the election drama. I would probably join, but not frequent.

I could get on board with IG. I use that in spurts though.

I'm more open to a private board now than I was the last time we talked about it. I just worry about the drama that (can) surround making things private. Who gets to join? The "regulars"? How do you define that? What if a "regular" gets busy and stops posting? Is it creepy if they're still a part of the group? (This was me on my TK FB group and one day I was just kicked out) I have all the questions.

My S14 board has gone private. I like it but we are very small and there are less than 10 of us still around. I'd be fine with a private board here too.

I'm down for fb too. I think I may have an instagram account but it's not something I use much.

My J13 group is on Facebook and there is still about 40 of us that are very active. I love it!

I'm down for FB. I'm on IG as well and post quite a few pics.

My wedding board went private on here. That's how I found you guys! I would be more likely to participate on a FB or IG group. Maybe keep this board, but do picture check ins on IG?

I don't Instagram either. I guess I was just thinking the ease of Facebook is what I like. Either way I'll post wherever we are. We can just keep this board. No biggie. You can't really post long stuff on Facebook.

S16 went to a Facebook group and our board here totally died. FB is harder for me to keep up with whcich is one of the reasons I joined you ladies.

I have an IG account, but I rarely ever use it. I'd be fine with making this a private board, or creating a FB group. I'm on FB a lot.

Im happy to stay here. Like fem said, S16 died when we moved to Facebook. And even the Facebook group isn't overly active,
About 10 of us from J14 went over to Facebook, but that group fell apart about a year ago. I need the group to keep going or I have no mom friends to talk to.

An admin will set it up, we can pin it to the top of O16 so when you come here you can check the PG as well. We will send out the password to everyone thats active on O16, and if there's any question- we poll the group.
This is how it is on my May board. Typically "active" is defined by the majority of regs recognizing and agreeing that the person should have access to the pg.

So where do we post then? The public and private board or just the private?

Both. It's business as usual but we have the private board for pictures or any discussions people want private.

So again if in 3 months someone new stumbles on the board, we're still here. It's more just a place to go where you can post things with the core regs you know without it being open to the public eye.

I'd post more pics on a private board and feel like everyone would feel better sharing more knowing no one we knew was lurking. I def think there should be a majority vote on who is a reg and who is a rando. Anyone recognizable to most of the group should be allowed in. It shouldn't be a popularity thing.

That sounds perfect! I want to be able to share TCF with other people I know, but still be able to vent about things privately. This would be a good solution.
