5/6 hr workday for me today since I have a NST at 8 and then an OB appt at 3:30...woo-hoo for short workday!! Also my last actual day in the office!!!! My team will be working offsite next week.
Woke up at 4am and couldn't go back to bed so made some coffee and on the couch writing down quest for my OB appt this afternoon regarding my csection. Still nervous as hell for it but at 10 days out need to get my head around it and prepare. I know I'll get emotional at the appt this afternoon really getting the details so planning ahead.

I am waiting for change of shift here. We had a slooooow night, and I have been contracting and cramping the last few hours. I've also been chugging water--so every contraction is like instantly needing to pee. They aren't regular at all, but the cramping is causing some back pain. Thank you Braxton hicks.
Also found out the nurses have a pool for the day I'll have the baby and their guess for her weight. They won't tell me who guessed what...ruuuude.
Going home to sleep a few hours, hang with bubs, and tonight hopefully I'll still be awake when hubby gets home because I'm trying to coax this baby out--and some sex is in order. (Strictly business).

Well, I woke up at 3:30 to wet panties and leaking. Waited about an hour and a half before calling the on call doc to ask what to do. Now I'm sitting in triage all hooked up and waiting to see the doc. I think I'm having contractions, but I'm mostly feeling it in my lower back, but if I'm reading the monitor correctly (and I may not be) that's what they are. Of course DH is not home. I'm waiting see what the doc says before telling him to get back (he's only about an hour away). I'm still assuming they'll send me home. I've been leaking the whole time I'm here though. I have no idea...

dancerspose oh man good luck!! Sounds like your water broke? Hoping all goes well today! flyinghorses6 hope you enjoy that business with the hubs! And it gets that babe moving @jacks605 last work day woohoo! Enjoy! I woke up starving this morning, really really hoping my conference has a good breakfast. And then meetings all day. With all of these contractions and leakings going on from you ladies, I'm getting so scared I'll be having a baby in the middle of a session haha

I am half jealous and half terrified that so many of you ladies are basically having babies already. Lol
I woke up in a puddle of my own sweat (gross) from my fever breaking overnight. Stomach feels better, but I'm still slightly warm. Hopefully I can eat something today without feeling sick. And I'm really hoping no one else in the house gets this thing. Bad timing, stomach bug - it's crunch time for baby prep!
I'm so glad it's Friday. We have had rough drop offs at the babysitters all week. Today was the worst. I left her sobbing and I immediately started boohooing when I got in the car. The babysitter texted me not even 5 minutes later with a picture of her smiling and playing. Thank god because I was a wreck.
I will make sure to get lots of extra snuggles this weekend for her and my own sake. FIL also surprised us with really good Disney on Ice tickets for tomorrow night so we will be taking her to that! Can't wait to see her reaction!

Good luck dancerspose! Waiting on cinnamon rolls to come out of the oven. Then I think DS and I are going to run a few errands. Also trying to avoid having too many feelings about the inauguration.

flyinghorses6 - We have a pool at work, too. But only for a due date, not for baby weight and all that. I want to punch some of my coworkers for guessing so close to my C-section date. Like, don't you want me to go earlier?!?! LOL
I'm so jealous, @jacks605! Last day in the office?! Enjoy And if you have any C-section questions, start a thread. I had one with J and will be having a second, and I know we have other C-section moms here who would be happy to listen to your concerns. FX your OB offers you tons of support
AFM, I'm so glad J isn't actually sick. Apparently she had to poop and didn't want to at school, and she didn't like what they were serving for lunch. Color me annoyed. I would have left here there (I had suspicions she was playing games), but it's not like my kid to pass on a meal (she eats all the things (thank God)).
While I was home with her, I tweaked my back. Not cool. This morning it still hurts like hell, but I need the hours at work while I can get 'em so here I am! I'll take my #1 Employee Award now LOL
And my dad lost his job. This is obviously shitty news and I feel awful for my mom, who works way too hard as it is. IDK maybe it's a blessing in disguise - he hated that place. Ugh, whatever. Keep on keepin' on, right?

dancerspose, OMG you're having a baby!!! Give us the play by play (as you are able)!
flyinghorses6, I had that same thought about sex. DH and I went out on a date last night, which was really nice. And then we were on the couch and were about to have sex, but the Mexican food left us both super gassy and heartburn-y. So we said we'd wait to digest...and then both got too tired. Mehhhhh... Tonight, it is on!
AFM, I'll level with you guys. I'm kind of miserable. I've been getting varying degrees of menstrual like cramping since Tuesday night. During the day, I rarely have contractions. Every night, I'm awoken by at least 2-3 solid contractions, but they never establish a pattern. Sometimes at night I get actual stabbing pain. But nighttime is always the worst for me. It's unnerving because I never know if it's serious or if it's just my body punking me.
I really wish my water would just break so I could know it's go time. Also, I'm miserable trying to pretend like I still care about work when I spend 85% of my time googling things about labor.
I've also been super hormonal and emotionally needy lately. Is this normal? I'm a FTM, so I know things are going to change with DH...and soon. And it's already been a tough year for us. So I like constantly want reassurance that he still loves me after all these years, he's excited about the baby, and we're ok.

oldbaylover1024- I stalked a J17 csection thread this morning that had a lot of good info.
loves2shop4shoes- yepp super ragey here too. Told the nurse she was free to fail me on my NST...I'm just done. Go figure both babies look good so far...

pivot my daycare girl does that for me too. It's such a walk of shame to your car after you leave your kid crying, so it's amazing when you get the text that they're happy soon after. Makes the work day easier.

FFFC? DS's birthday is early February. I'm due the 12. We are not having a party for DS or even having family over (closest is 1.5 hours away most are 4 hours away). I just can't host people a week before my due date. Are we terrible parents? Not to mention most of our family wants to come down when the baby is born and I didn't think they'd want to road trip back to back like that. Anyway MIL is shocked we aren't doing anything and keeps asking. They also keep asking why we can't bring him to them if we don't want to host. Sorry not driving that far away at 38+ weeks pregnant.

loves2shop4shoes actual laugh at your comment about googling 85% of the day. If our IT guy pays attention at all, I'm in trouble lol. My boss' boss is polite enough to say my name before he walks in to my work space so I have time to hide my screen or device 😂
Stop it with the looney bin line of thinking! I def was emotional before baby last time, and this time it was more like all 9 months. You made the baby, the least DH can do is continue to be reassuring even if you seem like you're losing it haha. They signed up for this too!
B is a bit jaundiced, so I went into the pedis yesterday just to get a precautionary blood level check. The nurse spent like 5 whole minutes torturing his heel to get enough blood, and when the pedi called last night to give me the results she said the lab claimed they didn't have enough. So, a big ole wtf to that. We had to go into the hospital this morning to do the re-draw. The pedi also added on a few more tests like CBC and whatnot so we had to fill like 5 vials worth of blood. Poor B was so unhappy and I had to hold a screaming baby the whole time. Ugh. Not a fun way to start the morning. ☹️
