I have curtains! And the floor is covered in baby clothes because I went on a spree last week. I'm going to start looking at furniture in a week or two.

Squee!
We have the chair and will most likely head on over to Ikea for the crib and dresser next week
We also bought a closet organizer to install in the space we ripped out haha.

Is that a glider?! I have one from 8 years ago with DD and it's in pretty horrible condition and I have no idea why I still have it. It also doesn't even remotely go with the colors I want for the nursery. (Gray and white) Yours looks amazing so far!!!

Our kids are going to be sharing rooms so it's already set up for DS. I have some ideas for decorating over newbaby's crib depending on the sex. We need another dresser in there though. It's painted a light grey and I want to do a mural or decals for DS now that he has opinions and likes. I have several animal paintings and a sun and moon that I did but I think newbaby needs a few new animals. I just need to find some more ideas that are at my (low) skill level.

We are working on DS1 big boy room. It was our former guest room but we're switching it over. My husband does contracting and renovations for work so he is doing it all. We're replacing windows, trim the whole 9. I'm so grateful he's doing it but he's so. slow. I'm itching to pull out our newborn things and organize already.

Starting the nursery when we confirm the sex. I already know the color scheme. I am dreading taking the stuff out of that room though. It has been used as our junk room for three years 😬
We painted ours 2 years ago effort we pulled up the carpet and stained the hardwoods underneath. It's been our guest room, and I'm excited to transition it to nursery! It's yellow, white, and gray. It's going to be elephant themed! We just painted and did the floors in our office, which will become the guest room. Once we start moving furniture back there, we can start making it look like a nursery!
We are buying a glider from a friend. We have been offered any of 3 cribs another friend has. We've got a rug.... I can't wait to fill it up.
I feel so behind! I've cleaned the room or (it was storage before) and picked out paint and furniture but we haven't actually done much yet. We are trying to finish our basement first before moving onto project nursery.
I'm so anxious to get started though...H is the one holding me back! Also money.

I didn't realize I was behind either!! Guess I better start bugging H to go shopping.
Poor DD2 will be sharing her nursery with my office space. We only have 3 bedrooms right now, but plan to add rooms in our attic in the next few years.
So she's getting an ikea crib and a changing pad on my desk. Her clothes will go in W's room.
I'd have the girls share, but W is such a bad sleeper I just don't see it working out.
We already have a crib and dresser from our girls and we use the IKEA poang chairs. We are doing a space theme using bedding from Land of Nod. That's about as far as I've gotten though. We need to paint and then decorate.

We have so much to do. There's this horrible texture paint on the walls from the previous owner. My dad is going to come and sand it so we can paint. DH has to install some closet organizers. I'll pick colors once we find out the sex.

Nice starts ladies! We have a two bedroom so DD will roomshare with us for the first year, which I would probably do anyway. We will probably do an In Arms Reach or a mini crib side-carred to our bed and I need to rearrange some things to fit a changing table and a glider in the room. After that we will need a bigger place!
This lo will be in our room for at least the first 6 months. . I painted both the spare room and DS's room when we moved in the fall so I'm not re-painting.
I have some wall decor for this LO I just need to get curtains and H will install the closet organizer. Oh and we need to get a second diaper genie. We'll use a pack n play in our room and then figure out cribs when we move to own room - depending on DS may move him to bed and re-use his crib, or may get another IKEA crib.
For those of you who haven't started the nursery yet, don't worry you've got plenty of time, and for some of the FTMs you may get big ticket items for your shower.
We painted our 3rd bedroom over the summer with a nursery in mind, so luckily that is already done. We have all the furniture from DD, all we need is another dresser since she is still using hers. I'm most excited about decorating, starting with this adorable super hero print: www.etsy.com/listing/86173919/little-superheroes?ref=cat_gallery_16.
If it was up to H, the room would be plastered in all things superhero but I'm trying to keep it more subtle and less "themey."
My H is the same way but with all things baseball. He is a coach, so it's not like we don't have enough baseball in our lives. I'm thinking I'll put a few cute vintage baseball items in there. But nothing crazy.

For DS' big boy room, we did grey, navy and red, and a transportation theme that can easily be switched out when he's older. Neither one of us are too into really themed rooms, so it was pretty easy to decide.
You guysssss. The third bedroom has historically been our catch all room, and it currently houses a gross old couch from previous owners, broken chairs, a lamp, my wedding dress, and the diaper garbage. Complete with thick, dark green carpet and green striped wallpaper with fish on it.
I have a lot of work to do.
I had to take my massive ball gown wedding dress to the dry cleaners yesterday simply because of project nursery. 300 dollars later...

Well, considering ds2 is still in the crib in our bedroom I have no clue what we are going to do with this new little one. We are thinking about moving dd into ds's room just for sleeping. Then putting her bed back into the crib letting ds2 sleep in her room. Or we might put ds2 into dh's office for sleeping. We are currently deciding on where we are going to build our house. So, my ideal situation is for us to be in the guest house while our house is being built by the time the baby comes.
Complete with the new born clothing from my son ten years ago that of course I kept. Some is very masculine or very winter so we won't use but it's so cute in the closet.
