I just got sucked into Facebook. I should have stayed off, as I was definitely more blissful while ignorant. However, by waiting long enough I read that apparently the gag order for the Agriculture Ministry has already been rescinded? So maybe that'll be true for the other agencies as well?
We went to Micheals and got yarn and crochet hooks so my friend could start teaching me how to crochet. I'm making myself a super fluffy infinity scarf. But I'm almost done the first roll of yarn and I don't know how to start the next one. Plus I'm going to need to buy more.
I just spilled and broke my glass of wine. Hubs has devolved into a new level of painbitchiness. Babycakes is on track to round out her final hours as a pre1yrold awake...like all night... Please tell me thrrr is a rocket ship out of here.... because I feel done.

kcrkcs, I'm sorry to your H but I would laugh at him too. My waxer recommends a light exfoliant to prevent ingrown hairs in the bikini area - perhaps it would work for your H too? 😂😂 jk

I knit, not crochet, but I imagine the concept is the same - take the start of your new skein and tie it on to the end of your old one. Then just keep going. You will have to weave in the ends of the knot later, but you'll just need a knitting needle for that. I wait until I'm all done with the project to weave in any ends.

omg, sisterly competition at its finest:
DD1 poops, calls for me to wipe. It's a little soft and sticks to the toilet. DD2 poops, calls for me to wipe. This was our conversation:
DD2: Mama, my poop is better than DD1's. Me: ?? Why? DD2: My poop is prettier than hers. Look. (points to the remains of DD1's poop sticking on the toilet) Me: No one's poop is prettier than anyone else's. It doesn't matter.
How do I end up in situations where I have to SAY these things???!!??
(and don't worry, after DD2 pointed out that the toilet needed to be cleaned, I did.)
kcrkcs - hope you survived the night!! And happy birthday to your sweet baby!! tinydancer - happy birthday to baby dancer!! crimsonandclover - rofl!!! Parenthood is full of things you never imagined you would ever say!
Noelle to Nora: Nora that's not ok. Nora: pulling boots off the shelf. Noelle: Put your fingers in (your mouth) and sit on the rug. Nora: still pulling shoes off the shelf. Noelle: No. this attitude is not ok. No, sit on the rug. I wait. Now you making me mad. Nora: laughs at her.

dizzycooks, DD1 occasionally tries to discipline the younger ones and they don't listen, either. It kind makes me want to go, "Ha, sucks when they don't listen to you, doesn't it?!"
14joa31, I have got to remember write down some of the things I've had to say as a parent. Like: "DD2, get your HEAD out of DD1's POTTY CHAIR! NOW!" Or: "No! You know the rule: no dessert until you finish your lunch. Now finish your pizza and I'll get you the apple you're asking for. Wait a second... ::headtable::"
dizzycooks S frequently tries to discipline M. She ignores him, he tries harder, she ignores him some more. I find it hilarious, he finds it extremely frustrating. He's gonna get the last laugh in about 7 years, when he's the babysitter and she has to listen.
My mom is taking S for a sleep over tonight, so I told H he should text his sister and see if she was willing to watch M so we could go out, but he didn't so, I guess we're staying home with M. Oh well. I'm not feeling great anyway.
I have a 1yr old! We were going to have people over for cupcakes and ice cream tomorrow but we are going to postpone that until hubs can do something other than lay down. I am going to go teach A lesson and then take Lillie for a ride on her pony. Then I think we will go buy some cupcakes.
OMG I am in LOVE with the stroller my BFF gave me. M is a big fan as well. I don't have to hunch over to reach the handle, a blanket will actually stay on her with it, and it will actually go over the packed snow without getting stuck!
I think M and I caught S's stomach bug. Perfect timing. I start drivers ed at 9 tomorrow morning. At least H seems to be fine for now. I might have to call and reschedule my course.
Poor hubs. We are home and he is sleeping. But it was a rough night. Really rough. I really do feel bad for him. But hopefully he is on the road to mending. Also I am glad we went when we did. He was probably a weekend away from being very seriously ill. If all goes well I won't have to change the packing in his ass abscess before we go back Sunday and in a few weeks this will all just be a bad memory.

kcrkcs, I feel really bad for your DH. When I got my first hemi I had no idea what it was and was so embarrassed and in a lot of pain. I hope he starts to feel better soon.

Yeah I forget what I came back and said but it turned out hemis were only a small piece of the problem. The bigger part was a cyst that had abscessed. It was a way bad deal. Do not wish on anyone.

kcrkcs, you did say it, but I was just thinking of my experience and how I didn't know what it was at first.
It is finally supposed to warm up this week! I enjoy winter feeling like winter, but now I'm ready for some above-freezing temps, tyvm. Tomorrow it's supposed to be almost 50° after weeks in the teens and 20s (Fahrenheit). The playground is probably going to be a muddy mess, but I think we'll go anyway. We've been cooped up in the house way too long!!
crimsonandclover gotcha. Yeah nothing worse than having something wrong with the private regions of your body. Especially if you don't know what's happening. Yay for warm temps! Enjoy the playground.

Oh poor dude kcrkcs. Any idea how or why he got a cyst there? Any way to prevent them?
If your H is anything like mine, he hates doctors and hospitals and refuses to go unless a dire emergency. Two years ago h woke up one morning and was telling me about the pain he was in. I was like, dude. It's your appendix. He fought me from going to the ER. He finally agreed to go to urgent care. The Dr there was like get yourself to the ER. H still didn't think there was anything wrong but we went. Yup. It was his appendix. 🙄

Cleaning and prepping today for DD's birthday party tomorrow! She's the last one to turn 1 I think. I just invited family to keep it small and manageable. I can't wait for her to taste her cake! And her birthday outfit. She is going to look sooooo cute!!! 💕
I'm at drivers ed! And surprisingly I'm not the oldest person here. I'm feeling better than I was last night, but I brought pepto with me just in case.
